Love the phone. I think it's a great one in a long time. I'm NOT happy with OS17. Too many bugs still not fixed - most especially auto lock not working. If not paying attention the display stays on and drains battery.

I upgraded from my iPhone 11 Pro to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. The first thing I noticed was the tremendous battery life. Coming from a small-sized pro phone to a larger-sized max phone dramatically increased battery life. When I unplugged my phone at 8 a.m., I still got over 50 percent at 7 p.m.And after updating to iOS 17.1, battery life further improved. I also noticed the thin bezel and big screen, which are very immersive for viewing. Finally, I’m enjoying smooth 120-Hz pro motion, camera improvements, and more. I am glad that I upgraded after 4 years of use. I also noticing 5G speed. As I’m living in South Korea Seoul, I’m getting around over 1500mbp/s due to an improved snapdragon X70 5G modem. 🎉❤
Battery life for me has been great. Lasts me all day even with the 80% limit. Decent usage with youtube, spotify, answering emails, along texting and calling so my usage isn't too bad.
Lucky you! I bet you got the Pro Max. I got the regular sized Pro because I’m not a fan of big phones, but the battery sucks. I charge it fully at night and it barely reaches 6-7pm with a normal use

I have a pro max as well, and love there's an 80% limit. Previously, I used shortcut automations to notify me when it's at 80% so I can unplug. Battery lasts me all day with no issues! I use hotspot a lot for school and clinicals, disabled auto brightness as well and no complaints.

Just updated to the 15 PM 2 weeks ago from a 14 PM, the phone itself is great especially the camera improvements have been noticeable and impressive. My major concern is the OS and after a few casual conversations with a couple of friends over the days we all seem to agree that the OS department in Apple hasn’t been able to catch up with the hardware capabilities, especially with persistent bugs why using social media (majorly Instagram and WhatsApp) or casual browser surfing (not including safari but google chrome seems to take a lot more battery, sometimes unhealthy amount of battery). Love your work!! Keep adding such more content.

I had mine since launch and super happy with it. Long battery life, little bugs here and there but nothing bad. I like the lighter but not entirely too light where it feels cheap weight to it. Overall a great phone. Hasn’t gotten warm since launch tbh
I’ve been really enjoying my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It’s awesome! The only issue I’ve faced is that the earpiece speaker cracks on some frequencies. I just went to the Apple Store and most of them suffer from it. 15s and regular pro also. The first seconds of the track Sunroof on Spotify or Apple Music may reproduce it. Super annoying, hope they fix it tuning it through software. Awesome content, Aaron! Keep it going!
Just got my 15PM 5 days ago and never noticed a crackling. I played Sunroof on Spotify and thankfully no issues. Maybe it was resolved via software, is your fixed now?

Upgraded from the 12 Pro Max on launch. Feels much better, lighter, faster and the camera is a big jump. Very happy with it!

Upgraded to the 15 pm from a 13pm (fell and screen got messed up even with a screen protector). Haven’t had any issues with the so called overheating, battery is amazing, great camera, smooth os, so no complaints. Gonna miss the 13pm tho

Hey aaron, definitely recommend the ESR cryoboost charger for when u wireless charge. That keeps the phone cool with the fan and in turn minimizes the battery degradation due to heat

this is my first "Pro" phone since the 10 (if that was a pro?) and have to say I absolutely love it. the cameras are a revelation on the 15PM and the battery life is superb - I regularly get 2 days worth between charges with normal use. I've had no heating issues at all and overall I'm extremely happy with my new iPhone 🙂

Yess the glass scratching is so noticeable. I had it less than a week when i found noticeable scratches without any significant events

15 Pro Max on iOS 17.1, I’ve noticed bad frame drops with ProMotion on the Home Screen when swiping over to the widgets screen, the App Library, or even when opening the App Switcher. It always looks like those animations run at like half the frame-rate. My 14 Pro Max does not have this issue.
So I love my new 15 promax👍 and I don’t see the issues that you discussed in this video? i’m getting great battery life and I used GPS quite a bit with the Uber driver app for example. Also, I have gotten no scratches as I use a Casekoo case with a nice builtin ring stand and a great screensaver.
My 15 pm is running the latest software and still gets hot taking a few pictures and uploading them to google photos. Other than that it’s been excellent.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max gets really warm to the touch when it’s charging on the Mustang Mach E charge pad. It’s doesn’t get warm to the touch when I charge at home with the MagSafe charger.
Upgrading from a battered 12 Pro, my battery life has been outstanding even with the 80% limit. One thing I have noticed is a noticeable increase in screen time and battery usage of the Home and Lock screen. At 7:10 in the video, it also shows home/lockscreen category as 2nd highest consumer over both days that you showed. I disabled the always on display out of the box, and barely ever use StandBy mode, but I do not recall seeing this category high on the list on my 12 pro, ever. I suspect it could be the dynamic island (lots of music and navigation live activities), but can anyone upgrading from 14pro/max confirm this? Or perhaps a software bug which would explain Aaron’s inaccurate usage stats?

No concerns with titanium dings here as I have a clear, soft plastic glove on the phone sans the screen protector. So far, no scratches on the glass but my iPhone 12 Pro Max did have a huge scratch for years but it wasn’t noticeable while using apps.
I run into the not loading with my iPhone 11 Pro and iOS 17.2. Not real often but every now and then. I can just usually touch the screen and it will finish loading.
I'm coming from a 12 Pro, so this should be a substantial upgrade. I'm excited to get the Max model for the first time ever. The camera is insane!

i just got a 15 Pro max from my 12 Pro, last plus sized phone i had was the 7plus. no regrets with my 15PM so far
decided to skip it this year and keep my deep purple 256GB 14 pro. didn't think the upgrades were significant enough for me to justify upgrading. however my sister upgraded her 13 mini to a 15 pro and I have to say the phone looks great. feels quite a bit lighter too than my 14 pro. I personally will be waiting for the 16 pro next year though as I typically upgrade every 2 years. anyway cheers for another great video Aaron!
I’m having issues with the location, accuracy, both Google maps and maps at given times cannot seem to find my location which makes getting directions very difficult and frustrating, a lot of times on maps. It’ll show me literally driving through houses constantly trying to reroute me even though I know I’m going the right direction.
Hello sir, can I ask if is it okay to always keep your iphone15 pro max on low power mode?
I have a small connectivity issue with loading with my 13PM so it’s probably a 17 issue. Doesn’t happen all the time. Also usually happens on WiFi. I usually get around 10 hrs screen on time. Of course I have turned off some things that cause battery drain. I have 90% battery health after 16 months. So far I do not plan to update to a new phone.
Do you find you use the 5x more than the 3x on last year’s model?
Coming from 8Plus my iPhone Pro Max 1TB has been outstanding in battery and performance! My battery status is perfect on screen time, I see no issues there on 17.1.
I switched from a 4 year old iPhone XS to a 15 Pro (regular). The battery is of course better, but not as good as I wished for it to be, I fail to go through the day on 80% battery limit with 4-6 hours of screen on time (depending on what I'm doing). I also noticed a massive deep gouge in the screen on the first week, which was extremely weird as I never put it face down, and never had anything except the phone in my pocket. Also I seem to have a bluetooth issue where when I'm listening to music in my car it will randomly start stuttering until I reset bluetooth on my phone (never happened on my iPhone XS in the same car).
Overall I'm happy with the upgrade, but battery could be better....
i noticed a very small scratch on mine about 2 days of owning it no idea how it got there but I've since gotten a screen protector and case
I upgraded to the iPhone 15PM from the iPhone XS it’s totally awesome I think it’s really well designed and built it feels and looks great. Just a shame iOS 17 gave it a bad start
My iPhone 15 pro max has sharp edges at the back of the phone (where the back glass is too recessed into the body and exposing the titanium frame creating a ridge). Apparently it's quite common and Apple are aware of this. Having a case solves this obviously but there are times you want to hold your phone naked but it is uncomfortable to hold without a case as it is scratching your hand as you hold it
My first 15 Pro Max had this problem! Was surprised to find out how common it is. I had to replace that one due to a speaker defect. My current replacement unit is nearly perfect where the glass on the back meets the titanium. If anything it sticks out slightly versus being recessed. When I run my finger across it, it’s much more smooth.
Born and raised in Hawaii, my iPhones always seen the beach. Underwater or on the sand. I had the silicone case on and couple grains of sand went in the case. As soon as I removed it, I heard the sheer screech of sand grinding onto the metal and as I looked there was a slight scratch when you see at an angle. 2 months in and the scratch is non existent. Though, there were scratches that came right out of the box, it also seemed to melt away. I’m guessing the patina of the PVC and Titanium helps with cosmetics, it just takes time.
Is there any way for you to test the BTLE? I have a 15 pro max 2tb, and it has significant issues with my hearing aids (Phillips 9040s). The hearing aids have been replaced 3 x due to miss connection, severe static on alerts etc. all of which did not happen in iOS 17..currently running 17.1
Mine has been solid so far. Battery is pretty good. I’ve been trying the demo of Resident Evil Village with the settings ramped waaay up. It seems like it’ll be good. Didn’t play long enough to see if it would overheat the phone though.
I’m enjoying my new iPhone 15 Pro Max and my new Apple Watch Series 9 that I just got. Now I’m straight with both devices I have. All thanks to that Apple Event back in September. I will never forget it. 🙂
i have the 11 pro max.. bought it the first year it came out.. and frankly, its been the best phone i've ever owned. ive followed the releases of each iphone since its release.. and i was considering getting the 15 pro max.. until it came out.. theres been more hoopla over this phone than the others, and frankly turned me off entirely on getting a new phone all together. im gonna wait for the 16 pro max now.. only because its rumored to have a bigger screen than the others.. and with my old eyes, i'd really appreciate that.
if i had to replace my phone.. i'd get a 14 pro max, so i can keep my lightening cables around a little longer.. i only have 1 or 2 things that uses usb-c so really it'd be a bigger hassle with my iphone being usb-c than it would be a benefit.

I also prefer the feel of no screen protector, but found ESR protectors give you the same feeling as they wrap over the bezels. I recommend checking them out. So far happy with mine.
Is the anti reflective coating as good as the stock screen? Bad/no anti-reflective coatings is the first I noticed with cheap screen protectors.
Went from the 12 PM to 15P. The PWM situation is indeed much better. The action button seems like a gimmicky downgrade. Now I have to remember when I put it in silent. Before, one could feel it e.g. in a meeting without having to look at the screen.
What kind of adapter do you use? Because with my old adapter it’s not charging my phone, it’s just beeping and charging back every 20 seconds

I was a reluctant upgrade but I’m very happy with the 15PM. Something people don’t often mention is that the 15s have MUCH better reception in fringe areas than the 14s (I’m on TMO in a rural area).
I’m glad to hear that, I live in a very country rural area. Driving down back roads I’ve noticed I’ve lost signal, on my 14 Pro. My 15 Pro Max arrives today, so I am hopeful my calls won’t drop anymore!

I have been using the iPhone 15 pro max for over two weeks and i am on the latest iOS. However my iphone’s action button (mapped to silent / ring) does not vibrate occasionally. It is very random and everytime it happens i need to reboot. Is anyone else facing this issue? I really wish it had the old physical switch instead of the button!

Coming from a 14 PM to the 15 PM, I am extremely satisfied with the feel of the phone, you can’t tell in videos but it surely feels like a new device. I love a naked iPhone, I can finally go commando style lol
Hmm. Right out of the box I put the iPhone 15 PM in a clear Apple case and then slapped on a screen protector just to be safe. Even though I have some piece of mind from the minimal everyday wear & tear I would really prefer to handle the device without any protection as the phone feels great & is very aesthetic. Maybe in a year when the novelty has worn off a bit.
Mine runs latest iOS, still get too hot when put it to charge on my 2024nVW Atlas wireless charger…
I started off my 15 Pro usage without case as it is such a comfy feeling.... after one small drop from the pocket of my robe when I hugged my dog. It left a few small nicks and even a tiny 0.000001mm chip of the very edge of the screen. After seeing it's this fragile, I just decided to put the silicon case on it coz I don't wanna be using care+ every month lol

For your screen time showing incorrect I think it’s to do with standby mode. When I have my phone on wireless charger and on standby mode my screen time is always super high. That’s why it says Home Screen and Lock Screen to be second most used item.
With coconut battery would I be able to see number for charge cycles on 11 pro max?

I don't actually know what it feels like without a screen protector. Took it out of the box and immediately put a tempered glass screen protector and a TPU clear case on it. When I took the screen protector and case off my old iPhone 11 it looked the same as it did when I took it out of the box. Cheap protection IMO.
For me im not used to screen protectors ive dropped my 11 a couple of times and seems to work fine

Hardness (scratch-ability) and brittleness (shatter-ability) are inversely related and unfortunately with the last few generations of iPhone Apple has been pandering to concerns of shattering your phones screen as opposed to prioritizing scratch resistance...
Our 12 Pro phones overheat and show the overheat message in both our Ford Edge and Tesla. They’ve done this since we got the cars. I realize they’re older phones and really hoped the 15 Pro would fix the issue. Guess not. First world problem for sure, but still disappointing.

Bought a $20 Sapphire Screen Protector… it’s fantastic..not only great protection it also feels nice , smooth & finger print resistant .. don’t waste money on other type of protector

I enjoy my 15 pro max, I upgraded from the 14 pro max because of usb c and the lightness of the device. Since launch day I’ve used it on 80% charge limit with 20 cycles and I make it through the day just fine, I did have WiFi issues on earlier IOS versions before 17.1, I didn’t experience the “iPhones getting hot” luckily
I’m using the 15 pro max and I do have wifi issues even with the earlier IOS version 17.1. The software update didn’t solve my wifi problem 😢😢

What are those widgets on your lock screen?
The only time my iPhone 15 Pro Max got really warm was during a restore of my iPhone 13 Pro Max backup during the initial setup. Other than this time, I haven't experienced over-heating issues. Also, I feel that the photos are actually worse on the 15 Pro Max than the 13 Pro Max. This is being discussed at length amongst professional photographers, so buyer beware!
Aaron, This may be unconventional but I used to take my older iPhones into the sauna at the gym and they would overheat within a few minutes. I took my iPhone 15 Pro Max in today and 30 minutes later it’s still running strong. Have you ever done any tests on how different phones tolerate heat in conditions like this? Maybe it’s not a common use case or recommended but it seems like they really improved on the overheating and shutdown issues.

Been loving this phone! A bit sad it doesn’t take those amazing moon pics that the S23 gets but the feel is great, the pics are good and the batter life has been fantastic.

I came from a pixel 8 and love the iPhone 15 pro more it’s a lot more faster as well and better proformance
One thing I noticed on my 14pm ever since updating to iOS 17 is that when I go to change my wallpaper the wallpaper screen loads incredibly slow compared to iOS 16 which had zero lag. No idea why. Little things like that nag at me.
