Mad respect for the boss that thought carefully about their employee's working hours. It's really stressful when your boss is taking your time when it shouldn't
I simply ignore everything work related outside of work times, set off notifications and if anyone says why no reply, depending on who "I wasn't working at that time/I didn't see"
Not having clipboard history turned out to be my biggest deal breaker. Being able to open your clipboard and seeing all the 10 - 15 items you last saved is so convenient.
I am an iphone user, but I don’t think i can work efficiently without using clipboard in windows as I have to work with lots of data, i really miss this feature on iphone
I regret buying iPhone 15 pro😢 I was a hardcore android user and thought to try the iOS system. Definitely not for me. The clipboard, texting back via the widget on home screen and all what Zack mentioned in the video.
@@nikita137274 Regardless of the fact that no employee not under the burden of forced labour will do that, an employee occasionally taking time out of the day to take a break (which will usually increase productivity, not hinder it) is not grounds for a manager or owner to harass them outside of their working hours.
Having an understanding of the severity of your buildout/project or other situation is the key to using direct texting or scheduling something for a later time. If materials can be ordered and ready for an early morning pick up vs calling in the morning and waiting 3-4 hours is a leadership decision and ALL members of the project need to agree to be available under the right circumstances.
I mean, agent 47 is literally talented at everything and plays every single role. Guy can do massages, play drums, be a psychiatrist - not too surprising he would also disguise as a phone reviewer
Haha... Really..😳😆😆 I guess we learn new things everyday.. It's been helping me a lot with Birthday wishes via text.. I worry no more... Cuz the text is definitely gibs be delivered.. if course unless phone is off 😄
I really appreciate your honest reviews, but one major flaw with Apple-and a significant deal breaker for me-is the difficulty of using an iPhone while traveling abroad. If your App Store is set to the US, you can't download native apps for the country you're visiting. And if you want to change your App Store country, you're unable to do so if you have any active subscriptions. On top of that, creating a new Apple ID for the App Store deletes your saved Apple Music and other settings, which is incredibly frustrating. In contrast, with the Android Play Store, you can switch between multiple Gmail IDs associated with different countries. So if I'm in India, I can download native apps by switching to my Indian Gmail ID, and if I'm in the US, I can use my US Gmail ID for US-native apps. This flexibility is a big advantage that Apple currently lacks and makes me to come back to Android everytime.
I didn’t even realize that Gmails were associated with different countries, I always just used my Gmail no matter where I was. I’ve also changed my AppStore country to download a plethora of apps and music unavailable in my country and I never had any issues.
Personally as a brit, i think this is more of an American issue then an apple issue, ive had no issues or loss of function while travelling abroad, i can still download native apps and use email, so might just be an issue with American iphones
The Note 10+ does have flashlight adjustment! Just go into your quick panel and tap the "Flashlight" text under the icon, and there should be a slider to adjust it.
Something else to note, on both iPhone and Android, you can long press on the button for bluetooth, network, etc. to get to the settings for that button. You can do that instead of navigating to a settings app on both phones.
Except on iphone that only works if you have bluetooth turned on. If not you first need to turn it on. then long press it to enlarge it, and then another tap to open the settings. It is possible, but again it takes extra taps.
For me this works reliably on Android but with iPhone I usually just end up accidentally turning it off entirely... I don't know how they messed up such trivial functionality, but they did.
In every case I've found the long press to be incredibly inconsistent at times on the iphone. Either it doesn't open the menu, or it just turns it off/on at random. Sometimes it opens it... but it's honestly easier to just go to the settings menu.
Just started the video. Just a side note, the note 10 plus very much CAN change the brightness of the flashlight. Even the original S8 can do that. I am not sure why you weren't able to. Perhaps you didn't know where to look to do it, but you can hold your finger on the flashlight icon to do it. I have had a Note 9, and S22 ultra, and both can do it, and my family has had note 9's, 10's, a note 20, S22 ultra's, S23 FE, and more, and they can *all* do the flashlight dimming trick haha
To think he has always been an android user and didn’t know that! There are a lot he has said here with the iPhone that he has missed also perhaps a bit more time needed 😂
I commented the same thing but I'm gonna like this so he sees it! I'd wish Samsung made it easier to know this because it took me forever to figure this out.
phones these days are very useful in long term and usually the flasgships last a lot longer and stay a lot faster before becoming annoying. I was using my one plus 6 for 6 years before switching to s23 and an iphone se (got it for 80$) for a secondary phone... I intend to use s23 for atleast 4-5 years till I save enough to splurge on a good phone.
@@hvrbros8730 In the U.S., a large majority of work related calls or texts I get are after 9pm. Sure, you technically won't be punished for ignoring them, but they'll also happily move on to someone more responsive.
Lol, "grow up" he says. Let me tell you something, kiddo: If you have a really stressful and mentally demanding job, it is imperative to set boundaries for both yourself and your colleagues. If you start responding to work related texts after hours, it's a slippery slope, nay, a highway to burnout. It's not about reading one text message after work, as you so deceptively put. It's about sustainability. But you will figure this out eventually (not that I think you actually had a job)

wait a minute ... someone shared actually useful differences pros& cons included instead of saying it's just personal opinion for everything? This was better than most "tech" youtuber reviews honestly. Such practical approach is so much more helpful for people like me who wanna switch or explore what we are missing out, saving us all the trouble of trying it personally.
I mean these are all mostly opinions still. Like for example, some hate the fact you can't place your app icons anywhere you want on the home screen on IOS. Me personally I love that I can't. I want some preset organization. And it's not a knock on android, I was primarily an android user my entire life, but made the switch to iPhone at the iPhone 12 and haven't regretted it.
@@erice3525 his wasn't mostly opinion it's actually true for most of users who have used both, iphone is just not that user friendly, i know i own both.
True, other than him only LTT will talk about it, reason being other youtubers like MKBHD etc can't badmouth Apple or they won't get phones anymore at launch. Not getting the phone at launch means they won't get the views and hence a lower payday for them.
@@erice3525 yeah, his main reason for going back to Samsung was that his phone is a tool and he just wants to get stuff done with it. Ironically that is the same reason I got my first iPhone in 2020 and never went back. I loved Android when I was younger and had time to fiddle with everything, even using custom ROMs. But now that I am busy with life, I have found the stability and "it just works" nature of Apple to be way more efficient. He was right about the ecosystem statement. A few months after I got an iPhone, I got my first MacBook, then my first Apple Watch. Every piece I added, further organized and made things efficient for me. Now I have the complete ecosystem, and for better or worse, I am locked in. I have thought about checking out new Android phones, but then I remember how much there is to lose going that route and how much time I wasted fumbling around between Android and Windows trying to get stuff done. Before I made the switch, I had tried going all in on Google's ecosystem to make things simpler, but ChromeOS just wasn't able to handle my needs and at the time there were lots of other holes in their ecosystem where they really didn't have a reliable hardware or software solutions. So then I went all in on Samsung, but found that Samsung Android devices and Samsung Windows devices hardly play together at all, and it's more a test of your patients than anything, as well as the fact that Samsung's Android is super bloated, and every time I tried doing something new on the phone, I found myself singing my life away on user agreements to not only Google, but also Samsung, as well as having a bunch of duplicate apps preinstalled (one from Samsung and one from Google), even duplicate app markets. So basically I was a life long Windows user, starting from Windows 95 and used Android since 2009, and I had to be dragged kicking and screaming into Apple world. When I got up and walked around for a while though, I actually think the grass is greener on the other side. But thats not true for everyone, so it really is a personal opinion on just about everything.
As an only-iPhone user, the back button argument really hit me. I am used to figure out how to step back in any app thrown at me but I can recognize the value of a dedicated back button. That point and the absence of text scheduling would be the biggest deal breakers if I was in your shoes. Very understandable and fair little review.
I used an iPhone for a month, and that was one of the biggest sources of frustration for me. Especially in certain circumstances where the home gesture inexplicably behaved as a back button, a specific case I can remember is trying to exit the camera if you've opened it from the lock screen. If I recall correctly, you can swipe to the side on the lock screen to get to the camera, but you can't swipe back to get back so you can actually unlock the phone. You have to do the "home" gesture (???) to get back to the lock screen, THEN unlock it. I'm glad I tried an iPhone for perspective, but I just had too many frustrations with it (does any think the settings app makes any sense??)
As an Android user who has to help the wife with iOS frequently, I get his difficulty. Most of those things aren't really worse on iOS, they're just different. I bet if I used iOS for a long time I'd be fine with them. But since I don't, they get in the way. I could totally see myself trying iOS and giving up before I can get used to it.
You just made everyone better at whatever device they are using. There probably isn’t a single person that watched this that didn’t immediately start investigating the capabilities of their current device. I’ve been using iPhones for 10 years, and just learned in the comments that if I hold spacebar, I can much more accurately/easily place my cursor.
I switched to the iPhone as well first time in my life. The main miss I had was that one sound bar for the entire system. No way to have loud calls and quiet notifications. Crazy
You can actually do that using focus modes. Create a custom focus mode where all notifications are silenced but phone calls from anyone are all allowed. You can set it up to be activated automatically at certain times, locations or using smart activation or set it manually using control center shortcuts as you need it.
@@bananal-tayeb3416 Can we do, lets say, 50% volume for calls, 20% for texts and notifications and 80% for media playback and 100% for alarm at the same time?
I’m a former Android enthusiast. Currently using iPhone and a MacBook Pro for editing. Although I’m content, you hit so many points that make it tough to stay with iPhone. Great video!
For number 7 iffy, you can just hold the space bar on the iPhone and swipe left to right / up or down to fix any typos or mistakes. It basically turns into a mouse. Much easier than the magnifying glass method which I agree is quite difficult.
As another employer, thanks for explaining appropriate boss etiquette. It's really important for us to respect our employees' ability to be off the clock when they're not getting paid. It's not cool to text people when they are off the clock. It's essentially stealing their time. It is sad how profoundly moving it was for me to hear you mentioned this very basic courtesy. It sounds like your team is well treated. Strong work
@one-to-one-ratio no one gets paid enough to answer text/email when they are off the clock. That's what off the clock means. Unless it means a change of schedule, I am not responding.
Yeah same. But us salary people are technically always on the clock but yeah. Unless its something important or ground breaking then i better not get a text from my gm telling me something stupid and minute that i need to attend to. I had my last boss message me at 11pm (i got off at 5pm) that i need to call my crew mates roght now and let thwm know about the new material we are going to use. Its like come on man. Hold a meeting tomorrow morning and let everyone know. Im not gonna call 40 people and bug them on their off time to tell them "hey we are gonna be using new material and we will have a meeting tomorrow at work about it) @paulwyand6204
@@one-to-one-ratioit’s important to allow people to be off the clock it’s not “I don’t get paid enough to respond” it’s more “I’m not getting paid at all to respond” furthermore would you text your boss after hours? No. Because everyone does actually have a family we work to make money so we can support those that we love some do also make money to have nice things for themselves whether you use your money to buy yourself a new car or to take your kids to lunch you deserve to enjoy the nice things in life without worrying about who’s gonna fill in for someone tomorrow or something you need to talk to your boss because the thing you’re building is about to fall over and kill a load of people then that’s okay any reason that’s not life death or bankruptcy is not an okay reason to talk to your employees or boss after hours
@@one-to-one-ratio You missed the point. It's not about not being paid enough to answer a message during personal time. It's about not actually working during that time, which is the basis of every modern work contract anywhere on the planet. Unless you're still brainwashed into being slave on a plantation, MY life comes first, and only then others', period.
The reminder of how many hours til my next alarm is such a clutch feature. It has saved me so many times over the years. That and the inconsistency of the back button are my two bigger sticking points. Really nice to see a fair attempt and assessment of your experience.
I just want to piggyback on this comment to let everyone know that you change the brightness level of the flashlight on a Galaxy, just click the text "flashlight" on the pulldown menu
@@MrDimitrija I was going to mention that also but it falls into the annoying clicks category. I with there was a slider that automatically pops up when you turn on the flashlight I normally use the screen brightness instead bc it's easier to control the brightness
How easy these things are to fix shows the issue with Apple's attitude. They either don't care or very deliberately try to be different, to the detriment of consumers. Either way it's not a good attitude. The iPhone has great hardware and I would be happy to buy it to complement my MacBook and AirPods. Unfortunately they seem to be so used to people just buying their phone by default that they have missed the point where it stopped being the best choice.
Doing job is a commitment. If you cannot send a message in working time and trying to schedule after hours then your are the one breaking your own rules. This scheduling is just a bluffing feature which is useless. Calling is different than texting. Workers can refrain from opening message after hours. If this philosophy is so true then employers must pay time spent on driving to work since it is techcnically doing something for work.
@@bolisettysasiAs an employee I don't want to even think about work once I leave the office. But as an owner of a company he probably thinks about it a lot due to the nature of his position. But he is kind and understanding enough to not text and bother his employees when it's family time. It's very thoughtful from the top that is very much lacking in most people today. My wife would get texts from her employer after hours and would get so frustrated at getting notifications and it's from work when she shouldn't be working.
@@bolisettysasiuhhhh yeah, people do get paid to go to work. If the employee has to spend money to go to work, then they are paying to work, not getting paid to work. Where I live, you always get paid for your locomontion, be the gas you use to get to work or public transport.
Here's a few tips for people having the same complaints: 3:00 You can flick it down so it opens fully without draggin it the whole length of the iphone. It still opens the whole thing but atleast its faster. 4:45 You can hold the wifi icon to expand it and press "open wifi settings" or "open bluetooth settings". Still takes a lot of clicks but atleast you dont have to search for the app. 6:16 You can press the spacebar and the keyboard will turn itu a trackpad, its actually much more convenient and accurate imo because i have fat fingers 8:48 You can hold the notification to show the full message or email or whatever it is without reading it. This works with other messaging apps and its pretty useful. You can even open chats without reading them by long pressing. You can quickly open websites, enlarge images, read something quickly, etc. Holding something on the iphone does a lot. Overall, this is a great video explaining the good stuff that apple got right, their stupid quirks, and amazing android features that us iphone users probably have to wait a decade to get implemented lmao. The scheduled messages is probably a feature that made me want to switch the most because i keep forgetting to reply to someone.
Glad someone explained it to him cause I was kinda annoyed with how all his issues were just him being unaware. Although I agree ios needs a better calculator and a fixed back button.
Proud Apple fan and fanboy here. I appreciated a lot of the points you made here. I know nothing of Android, so this was all new info for me. I’m surprised that you feel like Apple doesn’t protect the user from theirself. I always thought the opposite was true. I feel like Apple tends to lock down a lot of things and prevents users from tampering with and fouling up things. I feel like Apple wants to have tight control over and ensure a predictable user experience; and I love that about their products. Also, the idea that you would have to spend $5,000 to purchase an Apple personal computer is more than a small exaggeration. Even though Apple products can cost twice as much as most brands, I feel like I get so much satisfaction out of experiencing the sophisticated designs of their hardware and their software. And yes, much of that satisfaction comes from interacting with and working within their walled-garden ecosystem that so beautifully ties together all your devices via iCloud syncing. Also, Apple products have longer usable lifespans than most other brands-and higher resale value. Thanks for producing this video. I learned something and it challenged my views. I think it’s awesome that you tried an Apple phone. That’s more than I can say about myself (I’ve never tried android).
I’m an iPhone user, seeing the differences with your iffy and dealbreaker list, you’re absolutely right. You CAN get that stuff fixed with shortcuts, but that’s extra steps that you shouldn’t have to deal with. Good on you for giving it an honest shot!
yea at first I was going to get mad but the more I listen, he is making good points. editing text, just hold the space bar. Or Like the mention of the alarm, you'd notice if you specifically use the sleep alarm. A lot of things that only make sense by using it more or reading manuals.
To me, every iPhone looks more or less the same. Nothing much can be customised to your preference. No funky looking widgets, just stack upon stacks of applications.
as both android and ios user, i can see how he is absolutely right about his iffy list, but to be fair the ios has some good tricks too, or at least some apps works better on ios, like fb messener where you can read the conversation without actually reading it, and the convient ios video player that works in different apps, and i have to disagree about the wifi settings change, you can just tap and hold the wifi icon or bluetooth icon and change what you need, but still.. android is waaaay better experience with much less steps to do the same job.
@@aminekhetir4291 has the settings changed to open the full wifi settings, or is it still limited to changing which network you wanna use, turn on/off etc? One of these Android versions recently (13?) changed it to be more like what I remember Apple's quick settings to be, even if you long press it would only take you to the wifi network settings to turn it on/off switch networks etc and I hated it.
You can see full email from notification by long pressing and it doesn’t mark as read for the built in mail client. Google didn’t bother to implement peek for the gmail app though. The iPhone can only show what the app developer sends in the notification, so if they wanted to, Google could make the experience much better for iPhone users, but I assume they would much rather that people switch to Android if they’re heavy Google services user
First video I've seen that addresses the little details we all enjoy. Not everything is camera specs. Also I can totally relate that the phone is a work tool and not just something to have fun with. Congratulations Jerry!
This is not a good video. Too badly researched, and very missing on REAL iPhone features that actually work better than the Android in many of his points.
@@scottwilkins I think you missed the point. Using a phone for 100 days is a good grip on how well it is, compared to most reviews that are 1 week. He also didn't claim its a review, just his opinion. a lot of these reason I can agree with are annoying. I personally want swiftness and concistantcy and don't care as much about what color my messages are since android allows you to choose any color. things like this doesn't matter day to day. The only 2 features I would possibly want from phones are imessage, and facetime. What features do Iphones do better then android? 1.Cameras are subjective and per user opinion, as many android phones have been more voted on in a blind test. 2.Most people who say they want imessage on android is only because apple wont allow their custom rcs to be public, and overall imessage does nothing better compared to android messaging apps like textra. 3.All phones seem over all fast, and realistically with newer phones we are talking about 1 second differences in speed, not to mention people don't need a ps5 power level in their pocket. 4.Plenty of android phones focus on insain battery life. Apple doesn't make bad phones by any means, but I see no real reason for them to be popular outside of social static. They don't value cutting end tech as all new features they have added have been focus on other android phone features.
Yeah it's an opinion, but he was complaining about features that DO exist, he just didn't do thorough enough research. It feels like he WANTED to hate the iPhone so he sabotaged his usage@@alexandruradu1119
I like how small and specific all of these were. Most people who cover the differences BARELY look beyond specs, and if they do, it's normally just ecosystem comparison. This is much better.
Yeah, I wish more people did this. I don't care as much about my phone specs because it's meant to be portable and a bit useful. If I want good photos I use a camera, if I want to play video games (well and not mobile games) I'll use my computer and if I want to 3d scan then I would use a camera and put the photos into an app, I don't need LIDAR. All of my make and break things are about software and how useful it is for me, I don't want to adapt, I want my phone to be able to do whatever I tell it.
Well reviews are generic, this is from the perspective of a “switcher”, so makes sense. I’ve seen a few other do this, when they take the switching aspect in consideration. It escapes me but the guy that closes his reviews with “buy nice or buy twice” was going more in depth on minutiae
They weren't small to me. I have known what he said in this video for years, and almost all of them are deal breakers for me. I have nothing against the iPhone, but I don't see me switching. I never really understood why people make comparison videos because they always seemed totally different to me. I have a MacBook Pro and 5k Imac, and I still like Windows better
I think some of these issues would have been solved just by learning more about the phone and its UI. Like the Wi-Fi thing at 5:06. You can swipe down to control panel for that. But it’s alright. Won’t give you a hard time. Apple is known for having easy UI. Android is just more familiar to you. (:
I totally agree with the three deal breakers. The 4th for me is lack of proper file management on the iPhone. 5th is Notification management. I try to live and accomplish much with my notifications without delving into the apps. So for emails and texts, the ability to respond and delete from the notification is paramount. Non negotiable.
YES, no one talks about it. the file management on iPhone needs work. I moved to the 14 Pro after 13 years on Android and the file system bothers me the most
file management on ios fucking kills me. plus the fact you cant just usb into your computer and access your files like a usb storage device, it only lets you access specific shit.

The Alarm thing has really helped me on Android so much honestly, I can't imagine not having that since I use timers and alarms alot to help with my time management as a chronic procrastinator.
The alarm on Android is a good extra information when you set an alarm. Since it is not on IOS, i just use Siri to set an alarm. The annoying thing about iphone is when you charge your phone, it doesn't tell how long till its fully charge. If it's available, i'm just gonna use Siri to set a timer to notify me when the time's up.
Massive respect for respecting your employees and not texting them outside of their work hours. This is something that many employers seemingly have forgotten about with the advent of real-time messaging and smartphones. It's something that puts their employees in a weird spot since they can't really confront them without causing an unpleasant situation. My boss has called me sometimes after 9 pm in the evening, and while I like him, it's something that I really dislike because it can ruin a whole evening with, for example, your significant other.
I work at a school. I have to be up at 6am. My principal has texted our group chat at 10-11pm on multiple occasions. Which then prompts all the responses and I ignore it.
How on Earth can a phone call from your boss ruin a whole evening? That sounds like an exaggeration at best. A simple press on either volume button, and the call is silenced. Noone's forcing you to pick up the phone. It's the same when the Jehovah's witnesses arrive at the door, just don't answer it??
The moment I saw your Cybertruck video I was like, oh not another one... . But after watching I realised you're such a wholesome guy. And this video just proved it further. Wish you the best ✌🏻
I’m surprised that for so many years none of the reviewers mention about the fact that iPhone don't have a Pause function while taking a Video. And if you want to turn the flash on when taking a photo you have to press about 3-4 different places.
Why would you want to pause a video? Also the second thing isn’t even true. There’s a flash button prominently featured in the top left and you just tap it once to toggle flash.
@@g33xzi11a There are many occasions when I watch something and instead of stopping the video I would prefer to press a pause, wait until it’s worth videoing and continue the recording. Also for the flash, please try to press the button you suggest and you’ll see that when you take a photo it will still not flash every time, instead you have to press the arrow from the top middle to choose the detailed option where you have to choose flash on, and only then the flash will be switching on every time.

The alarm app is such a powerhouse of convenience on Android that it feels like it can read your mind. The brief notification when you set a time is just touching the surface
I agree. What happened to Zach happened to me as well, but this time with Siri. I asked to schedule an alarm at 8:30 in the morning and it scheduled it to 8:30 PM and I slept in. Until very recently you couldn't even schedule multiple timers on the clock app. And don't even get me started on the calculator, which is so far behind some of the most features you expect from a calculator its mind boggling.
It even gives you a heads up when a bank holiday is coming, proposing to suspend the alarm on that day. And you can suspend a recurring alarm for a custom duration as well and have it auto resume once it's over, very handy during holidays
I did a similar test with an iPhone last year... My last iPhone was a 3GS so I thought I would try Apple again. I came to many of the same conclusions and the notifications was the biggest thing that drove me crazy about iPhone. You explained it so well. Great video!

IME Notifications on iPhone come through much more reliably and faster on iPhone (I’ve missed time-sensitive notifs on Android because they came in hours late) but Android organizes those notifs much much better
That's one big problem I've had with iPhone users is that they are so used to putting up with the BS that they don't even realize that it's BS most of the time. When I asked my co-worker why I couldn't just select the middle of a word I had typed on the screen, their response was " Why would you even want to do that??" Then they told me to just select the space in between The word I wanted to change and the word in front of it, completely backspace away the word I want to change one letter of and retype it. The craziest part has been asking people who have used iPhones their entire lives how to do simple things like this, save themselves don't even know that apple has made a way to do it, but has just made it very inaccessible and counterintuitive. I guess that when people first get their iPhones, just as I did, they try to do things and are told over and over that that's just not even an option on an iPhone and to just suck it up and do it how Apple wants them too, So when they run into problems that do actually have an Apple work around, they assume they don't and just make do the best that they possibly can. Shout out to my boyfriend who's never had anything but iPhone and told me there was no way to go back except for a few apps. He told me He's just been closing out of anything without a back button at the top and reopening the app to get back to the apps home screen. I think people think iPhones are simpler and more efficient because when you run into a issue, they're just is no solution, whereas with Android when you run into a problem, there are usually 18 different solutions with their own different pros and cons and customizations. I can understand how a lot of people, especially older people, might get overwhelmed with having the options to customize their phones to best suit them instead of the other way around, but that's why there are default settings to begin with.
@@TheAwesomes2104a lot of the “problems” aren’t even there with the iPhone, but a lot of people just don’t properly know their iPhone 😃 I for one have tried Samsung and didn’t like for example the bottom buttons iPhone is using gestures and pressure to navigate and I find that working just great! Also there’re other ways to move cursor in your texts, you can change and look for new wifi and Bluetooth connections without going to settings, you can mark emails unread in the proper iPhone email app and I’m also pretty sure there’s a back button for every app your boyfriend is using you just kind of learn to navigate each of the apps as they are which shouldn’t be a problem if you spend a lot of time on it 😃
Craziest Part is actually, that none IPhone users don’t use iPhones and therefore don’t get how it works. Almost every problem, except scheduled massages and the green blue thing, isn’t really a problem, he just uses it wrong. For example, the example everyone seems to be obsessed with the most, selecting in the middle of a word actually works pretty easy. Pressing space long, and then using it like a curser. That’s even faster than hitting the word with the finger while typing. Problem is just, nobody learns these things, because after a few weeks the thought “oh my android” was better gets so strong, that they switch back.
WoW!! I've been using an android as long as you and never knew I could schedule a text message nor start typing a name on the phone keypad and the contacts pop up like that!! Thank you!
For WiFi it’s hold the WiFi or Bluetooth and it opens the simple settings for you, then full settings if you need it. No need to go to full settings each time.
FYI Android has this on top of what Zach was saying about the gear icon. You tap below the icon for WiFi or Bluetooth simple settings, then long press if you want full WiFi or Bluetooth settings.
@@redflagy8 I haven’t found a way to encrypt a folder in iCloud, but you can mark pictures as hidden. They will get protected with a passcode or FaceID.
@@redflagy8no but if you’re using Samsuck you’re doing it wrong. Go over to a Pixel phone if you want android. As for Apple no they don’t have secure folder. Can put it in a note and secure the note. But not the same. I’d love this feature. FYI I’ve used both. Enjoy both for different reasons. Hate Samsung overtime love the idea of a Pixel.
For point 7, if you hold down on the space bar your entire keyboard essentially turns into a trackpad which allows you to go up, down, left and right in your text. I understand the rest of the points though
Thats true and I even used that feature while writing this comment. It would still be comfortable for it to be an option to change it to the way android works.
@@sokotroko5488 oh absolutely it did kill me the first couple of weeks, editing text on my phone felt like a chore 💀 but I’ve become accustomed to it and I kinda wish Android had it too instead of showing the language selector like most keyboards do
Also really cool is the same but with the backspace key, you can click and slide to the left to delete word by word. Probably the most useful keyboard feature. (On Android with GBoard)
for me the biggest thing is "floating windows" in android. it makes the current app float over as a mini app and lets me use the phone or open another application and perform more advanced operations between them
iPhone has scheduled messages in shortcuts. He just couldn’t have used Google to figure that out apparently. There’s a few things that he just got flat out wrong as an iPhone user (used to be an Android guy, but it was so bad I had to switch)
@@navalsealsnipersports1199naw, it’s not the same ease of use. I have an iPhone and shortcuts are also a hit or miss, sometimes they work sometimes they don’t. My previous android device (note 10) could do it by long pressing the send and that was years ago.
Oh yeah, lol. Remember when I discovered it. And now the best phone ever is out, and I'm getting the 24 ultra. Most people have an iPhone due to hype. Most. However, very few people bother actually investing in the ecosystem, which in truth is amazing, but not a selling point for me because, like Jerry, I don't want to invest in that much.

@@JakeShirley but dont forget, apple want things their way, including apps on their phone. if its not up to their standard & done their way, apple will block that app from being on ios. if you look at certain apps that are on ios & android, that differences between them, because of apple.

I don’t know if anyone else said this yet but you can use a hard press on the space key on the keyboard to then act as a mouse cursor and move it where you want in the word to fix it. Allows you to see where you are placing the cursor.
Yeah a couple points he makes actually do have absolution. You can add settings to the control panel so you do have a quick button to hit if you pull down the screen.
I know of this feature and I use it sometimes but it is so annoying and time consuming compared to just clicking exactly where I need to edit on an Android. /first time iphone user since 3 months ago.
@@Joel00000Similar experience. I find that selecting the cursor on iPhone is much "slippery" and annoying compare to Android which is I find more precise when it comes to cursor placement and text selection.
I've been following you for a few years and this is your best video so far. we deserve a longer video about this topic! after being an android user for the past 5 years, I used the iPhone 14pro for almost 2 years and was not able to get used to it. there must be a longer list of deal breakers
iPhone user here. I didn’t know this was possible either. I write my after hours texts and don’t send them until the morning. That is if I remember. It stays in that person’s text chain until sent.
First use it on iphone 4 with jailbreak and 3rd sms app, i just remember it was red or pink icon, but the app didnt exits anymore when i jailbreak my ip7 (last iphone i used). And cause apple dont like anyone jb there phone to get those things, i dont have reason to use it anymore.
For the cursor, a quick way to move it to where you want is to hold space then move it to exactly where you want it. I find this easier to get the cursor where I want it accurately compared with the android method. Bonus: this hold space feature works on android too.
On older iPhones with 3D Touch you can also hard press anywhere on the keyboard to move the text cursor which was even better. Spacebar limits how far down you can move. I wish it would still let you start the movement from any position
About the text correction, actually if you are typing you don’t need to go to the text to click it, hold the space bar and the keyboard becomes a mouse, you don’t need additional clicks
With autocorrect and text prediction it’s unlikely that you’d get a letter wrong anyways, if you get the word wrong you can double click on the word click replace and it will give you alternatives similar to that.
iPhone user adding to the list: The Bad: - Camera flash: Great, but needs 3 Clicks to be activated: Dropdown - Flash - Activate. - Bad Gyro: When taking pictures (especially when altering position Up/Front) it has a huge problem detecting weather to save the image in horizontal or vertical format. This would not be such a deal-breaker if it wasn't happening so often and there was a way to easily turn multiple images. Instead you have to click 5 times to adjust orientation on every single picture: Click on picture - Edit - Crop - Turn - Save. - Deleting multiple contacts at once: Not possible! One has to open the corresponding Contact - Edit - Scroll down - Delete - Confirm Delete. My findings follow the same theme as yours, making the user experience a nightmare instead of boosting productivity. The Worst: - Apple does not give a damn. They'll keep un doing what ever they find useful and not listen to their actual users - The reason why after more than 12 years of Apple, I'm seriously looking into Android phones (reason why I'm watching this video). PD: Greats to Taylor ;)
Hold and drag the space bar to move through text, i think you can long press to read a full notification, and you can use shortcuts to schedule messages, although I admit shortcuts are worse, I think to some extent it is the newness, although there are some dealbreakers.
Another small tip: when you want to type a number quickly just hold the 123 button with one thumb and type the number that you want with another and then when you stop holding it it goes back to letters.
Hold and drag spacebar, isnt easy one handed, and when you cant adjust your hand placement. long press to read notifications, again if your in a situation you might not be able to long press anything. You might need or want to just one press to get a result ( also why Android still offers on screen actions and doesn't enforce gestures ) .
ALSO!! the CALCULATOR!! Idk if it’s because i don’t know how, but on iPhone i can’t see even the history. While on android, i can see the whole mathematical sentence with running subtotal and the history!
Thank you for calling out UI issues. It’s not only Apple. Microsoft is also notorious at increasing the number of steps to perform the same task, removing function or burying actions. It’s like the designers lost their common sense.
@@inugaki6942 Back in Win 98 or even as late as XP, you could find so many settings conveniently *together* in the same settings area. Display settings used to have resolution and refresh rate together, and themes was a tab over. Now they're spread over multiple settings 'apps' in different subcategories. It's infuriating.
Microsofts issue isnt that designers lost their common sense, its that designers who made the OS great retired. All your left with are people who want to do things differently or adopt the apple style over substance design.
Totally. I have been watching some reviews on the various editions of windows (Which I use a lot) and more and more functions are just being buried or plain removed! As someone with an IT background it really gets to me that when I go to do something relatively simple like networking settings I now have to jump through many hoops to find what I want.

@@duckyatseanah fam, Apple user For a minute here: it’s annoying lmao the UI can use a lot of attention to detail in terms of actions not just aesthetics. Android always been consistent in that. Gotta give it props.
That notification telling you when your alarm is about to go off is legit the most useful thing for me. I've never missed an alarm with that feature. Also being able to turn off your alarm 30m before it goes off is useful too. I really like Apple products. Apple silicon Macbooks, the apple watches and airpods are all amazing but I just can't get into iOS.
On IOS, i just tell Siri to set my alarm or timer but the extra piece of information on Android is super useful. For me the charging time is the most useful. If IOS has it, i'm just gonna charge my phone and see the timer and tell Siri to set a timer so i don't overcharge my phone.
06:14 holding down the space bar key changes the keyboard into a cursor and you can very quickly and accurately move wherever you want or select words (by tapping with a second finger and dragging with the first one). i find this easier because you don′t have to move your fingers where the text is at which might be at the top of the screen but you get to keep them at the keyboard where they are anyways
That is not gonna be good enough if you've typed a whole paragraph in say a notes app and want to correct a letter in a word at the beginning of your paragraph. It is much faster to just tap near the letter and have your cursor appear there on Android vs doing the whole hold and drag business up the whole paragraph you just mentioned or the tap near the word and then drag that Zach mentioned. More time spent doing the same thing was Zach's whole point here.
Another tip for people who care about schedule text, you can click and hold the send button to automatically bring up the schedule menu (fewer clicks) rather than clicking the plus and etc. etc. like what Jerry did in the video.
I just tried the long press and it's pretty cool, I also just Googled the Shortcuts app on iPhone and that's a mess, so you need to use a whole other app to schedule a text? That's not a shortcut! There are steps! To the "shortcut" that's wild....
I didn't even know this was a function till I saw this in the video! Guess now I can spam people all night long as long as I do the schedule send for the morning when they're awake!
Also for imsg atleast, it will tell you that the user wont receive notification until morning because of the night time feature apple has implemented, so in a way its even better then scheduling message because if user for whatever reason wakes up and checks phone, he will see the message, but it wont disturb him otherwise.
I've been using Android phones my whole life, and I'm using the Note 10+ for the last 3 years. This is the first time I ever heard about the scheduled messages and it honestly blew my mind, that's an amazing feature. Makes me wonder what else I've been missing out on lol.
Had a note 4 years ago and switched to its iphone counterpart. Everything you mentioned is spot on especially the part about the back button. Needless to say, im back on android and the note 4 till this day remains one of the best, most reliable phones ive ever owned
What bugged me the most when I transitioned from android to iPhone (for work) was the lack of a split-screen multitasking feature - that was quite the underrated feature for all the efficiency chasers out there!
You can load two apps to share screen - just hold down on the second app icon you want displayed and steer the icon to the screen with your finger. Hope that helps ( probably easier to see how to do it with a video tbh).
@@somethinginteresting2202I think you completely misunderstood what the guy was referring to. Using two apps at the same exact time, not moving apps onto the same home page… come on dude
I remember back in the day prior to me using TH-cam Music when I wanted to listen from YT while doing some online browsing and chatting I used to rock those split screens like there is no tommorow. I especially loved to option to make my own scale by just sliding the split bar up and down..
Agreed. I have recently changed from galaxy S10 to 15 pro and already experienced what this guy is talking about. Huge respect for revealing these to the audience
Jerry doesn't know how to do the things fast in iOS. That's normal if he is not used to, don't be fooled by this video. The things that he complains can be done very fast if you know how to do it. For example, with spotlight u search and call a contact in less than 1 second.
@@alexa9771Exactly, the things he listed isn’t a big deal for me with my iPhone. I know how to get to everything quickly, he did have one point though. The settings, I should be able to find it easier. I hope they do change that, unless you know a secret way I haven’t figured out yet.
You actually missed quite a few Android conveniences that are in favor of your less clicks. You can push and hold the send button in messages to bring up the scheduled messages. Same goes for Flashlight, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.. Just long press them and your instantly in the menu.
The flashlight one doesn't put me anywhere into a menu, nor does it allow changing brightness. Might be a Samsung thing. I have a Microsoft Surface Duo 2 and it only offers on or off through the drop down. It does give me an option to double-click the power button even with the phone off and closed to turn on the flashlight though. Everything else though such as holding on the quick settings to go into that menu is certainly a feature of Android that I will never get tired of. ESPECIALLY holding down the Bluetooth icon to jump into Bluetooth settings. That will never get old!
Not true about the long pressing to get instantly in the menu... first you slide down then long press wifi or any of those then you have to long press wifi again and then you can go into its settings with another tap
1. To get to wifi settings, just long press the wifi icon on your control center 2. To search contacts just swipe down from your home screen to search for anything 3. You can long-press the space bar, it will act as a mouse to control the cursor when typing 4. You can schedule a sms from shortcuts (animations)
It's not faster to long press for the cursor. If you miss your first click on Android, you just tap and drag the blue arrow at the bottom of the cursor. Android is faster at that by far. I love both phones and have switched back and forth five times, but Android is better here. A bunch of old feature phones iPhone 5S Galaxy S6 edge Galaxy S8+ iPhone XS iPhone 12 Pro Max Z Fold 4 S24 Ultra
Some tips which might be useful: - For quick access to setting, you can long press the quick toggle panel in control center and it will bring up additional options (long press WiFi, BT, etc. will bring up even more options) - For quickly editing text, you can long press the Spacebar button and use the keyboard as a trackpad to position your cursor. It’s pretty easy to use. - I don’t really use Gmail app but native email notifications will let you long press on it to view more. You can also long press on a mail in the native mail app and it will “pop-up” (technically “peek”) to let you read without marking it as read. I have both iPhone and Android (as a software engineer). They will both be as fast as each other in most task once you get used to it.
This is my exact response, I guess that happens when you use ios for the first time and vice versa. What I noticed on ios is that everything is simplified and hidden as much as possible unlike android where you can see almost everything.
Just an expansion on your point on long pressing notifications. With Gmail it allows me to read about one line more than without it, which is often not enough.
True, it’s also not fair to compare the default Android email app(Gmail) with a third party ios email app(Gmail). It’s not as if it’s Apple who developed the Gmail app
I was once an android user, then switched to Apple 2019. I agree with a lot of what you were saying. Things I did not think about each operating system, makes sense as you said them. I had forgotten about the scheduling a text to be sent, now I miss it. I am seriously considering going back to android after your compelling comments. Personal note, as I listen to you speaking and how you spoke so calmly, and the words you use, you are a blessing to your family and those around you.
@@villram7389 But that's exactly Zacks point. If such similar features exist, you have to take the long way to discover and apply them. As on iPhones, it doesn't exactly tell you, you can do this or that. They try so hard to differentiate themselves from Android, that they take it out on their own consumers. Cuz having helpful stuff be easier to access, that's apparently an android thing. Though, not all android is the same either. Depends on manufacture, as many have their own tweaks. Like lg has animated home page scrolling. HTC has similar but depended on device, Samsung has/had displays that would briefly mimic the current weather when unlocking, (was originally an HTC thing). Some are much easier to navigate, others not so much. Gotta be fairly tech savvy if you had a device that was pretty much vanilla, without all the nanny shit found in brands like lg, Samsung, Motorola, Sony, etc.
If you long press the spacebar then slide your finger left or right, it will move your cursor smoothly without having to click the text itself. Also, all of these are exactly how I feel. I’ve been an android user since the Nexus One and recently gave an iPhone a try. Even the date on the shade is a gripe I’ve had.
On the old iPhone X it used to be a hard press on the cursor and you can use the whole screen as a touchpad to reposition it. I miss that feature soo much.
Gboard on Android have the same "hold spacebar to move cursor" but it works a little bit worse than on an iPhone, since I'm using two languages and sometimes the language menu pops up.
I think you will be surprised with the flip. I work industrial maintenance in different glass shops, and i have the fold 4. It survived really well with metal shavings, glass chips, oils, etc. It's also super helpful to have the bigger screen when looking at electrical drawings and mechanical drawings.
fold 3 here and I work on construction equipment and I'm almost always working in dirt. I didn't even notice the hinge barely not opening all the way till I took it for a battery replacement and the guy behind the desk mentioned it would be fixed to because the battery kit they had also has a replacement hinge.
Fold 4 here. I work in all sorts of different conditions on film sets. It's held up fine for over a year now. The bigger screen is fantastic for doing on the go paperwork or showing scout photos to coworkers.
You can hold down the space button and long press to adjust where you want to select specific part of text. You can also do the same to connect to WiFi or Bluetooth quickly by also long pressing the icons
If I'm sick and need to let my boss know I won't be going to work I will schedule a message for in the morning so I don't have to wake up early when I'm not feeling well. That is VERY handy to be able to do.
I didn't know about text scheduling all my life, as an Android user, just tried it i think its going to be my next best feature, glad i watched this video.
LMAOOO me too. Apple user all my life and couldn't bear the stuff zack mentioned (went ahead and converted to Pixel), but I NEVER knew about this. I needed this feature and I will use it forever now
You covered 2 of my 3 biggest caveats to ios: no universal back gesture/button, not informative and interactive notifications that stack very weirdly on top of each other. My 3rd one is that you can't put icons anywhere you want on the home screen, and they start from top left, as you put it correctly, about 5 inches further than i want them to be.
Right. I used gestures on my Android and i can do back gestures anywhere on the side screen to go back without stretching my hand. It's a sensible choice for one hand use. Iphone needs to use one in a half hand movements to do the same things which is annoying and tiresome.
Something related to that, I much prefer being able to remove apps from the home screen and then having the rest accessible by swiping down. Looks much cleaner and removes those less used apps.
The iPhone has a “tap button” on the apple logo on the back. You can tap the backglas 2 or 3 times for different actions. I set 2 taps for back and 3 taps for rotation lock. Works much better with a tiny bit of practice, especially for women or men with smaller hands who can’t operate average androids without the need to take both hands.
For number 7, you can hold your finger on the space bar and it will let you move the cursor left, right, up and down to put it in which ever area you want. Works faster than tapping in the word as you can miss.
super valid reasons to switch back to android, but I gotta say your issues with the "more clicks" on iPhone can all be remedied if you knew more of the gestures built into the iPhone
Android has many things ios doesn't, for example creating a qr code from a contact if you want to share your number with someone is possible only on android (not sure if Apple finally implemented this)
I switched to an iPhone from a Samsung about 3 years ago. It has been a mostly positive experience, but some of these issues resonated with me. The biggest one is the lack of information in the alarm. I desperately miss the alarm telling me how long it will be until it goes off. Great video.
Use the sleep schedule in health, it was strange for me to do that first, but it is mindblowing, how convenient it works, especially, if you add it as a widget to your homescreen. One click adjustments per day are possible and you become so much more mindful with your actual sleep. At least it was the case for me. Hope this helps 😊
I'm returning to android because of other things i didn't like/get used to, but if you want a trick you can ask Siri how many time until an specific horu. For an example you can ask her "hey Siri, how much long until 7:30am". Still extra steps, not good, but it's something
I just want to say as an Android user who has tried to use iPhones all the points that you brought up are so valid and I'm glad to hear someone else speak about them thank you
@@traphomebaby I have both A14 Pixel-like custom ROM ex-flagship Oneplus and iPhone 12 together, I just find every OS uncomofrtable and genius in select episodes.
It's sad that a tech guy doesn't know about the capabilities of iOS. You can also send messages at any time. Just prepare it in the shortcuts application.
None of the points he brought up were really valid points. You can do most of those things on iPhone. He just doesn't know how to use iPhone since he got so used to the knock off of iPhone for all these years lol. Yeah you can do all those things and much more on an iPhone. I feel that Android phones are pretty limited because they're not as powerful or as innovative when it comes to hardware engineering. So every app is just less detailed on android. Every game is at a lower graphical quality on android. The drag and drop from one app to another app is a cool multitasking feature from iPhone and it's finally on Galaxy. iPhone came up with the voice isolation feature that is now barely making its way to Galaxy smartphones. iPhone has Face ID and it was the first phone to debut the technology. And iPhone has the highest performing display of any smartphone every single year that a new iPhone comes out. It's also usually the brightest display ever created at the time a new iPhone launches in September. Battery life on iPhone is another thing that has always been superior on iPhone compared to a galaxy Ultra. So I just feel like i'm not getting my money's worth with a Galaxy Ultra due to how cheap its operating system is. And knowing that 90% of its features were on iPhone years ago
And for Samsung users, DEX mode has been a lifesaver for me. I have been using it for the past 6 months as a replacement for my business laptop. People look at me like I'm nuts when I plug my phone into the projector and start using a mouse and keyboard. Then I use the s-pen to glide through slides.
cause it's a phone, 97% of people use laptops or desktops for work so people do not expect a whole powering a presentation. Most people use their phones for social media, calling and texting@@CadillacDriver
I'm using it for when I edit videos and need to move files quickly or use the phone while it's charging. I didn't think I needed something like this when I had Huawei, but this note 20 is amazing.
Both phones allow you to move the cursor to a specific point by long-pressing the space bar on the keyboard. However, it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact location on an iPhone. Furthermore, the automatic text correction on the iPhone can be problematic. I completely agree with all of your points. As someone who has recently tried using an iPhone for the first time, I have mixed feelings about it. The biggest issue for me is the inconsistent user experience with the rewind action, across different apps. As a result, I have decided to switch back to using an Android phone, I'm just choosing the right one.
I just tried it thanks for the tip but as advised, it's still a hassle to do something so simple. This limitation is really annoying when you're trying to fix a typo and need a quick edit.
The note 10+ flashlight can do the intensity trick too, all you have to do is long press on the flashlight icon in the notification bar

You switch Apple IDs you can have multiple without it deleting stop your cap
@@allprofits3092Don’t know where you live but if I switch my Apple ID I have to set every setting up again

Right lol
i found it weird when he mentioned that the note 10+ didn't have this option, even my galaxy a22 5g has that option, and its a low-mid tier phone.
Long press the icon on the drop down or have your torch in the side tab. I have quite a bright colourful home screen, which usually does the job.
You can also just ask Siri to open WiFi or Bluetooth settings and she’ll do it instantly.
@@setha298try that in a language different to English ;) Siri is almost useless outside of the US, so it's often disabled completely.
Even the tablets can do it. I have a Tab S8 which has this feature.

Great comparison. My single biggest annoyance with iPhone is the lack of a universal back button at the bottom of the phone.

Don't know if you know this, but you can also go between the letters you are typing by holding the space bar down and moving your thumb
As an only-iPhone user, the back button argument really hit me. I am used to figure out how to step back in any app thrown at me but I can recognize the value of a dedicated back button. That point and the absence of text scheduling would be the biggest deal breakers if I was in your shoes. Very understandable and fair little review.
The back gesture is even better on Android!
My boss always asks me to help them with their iphone, the going back button is what I can't find
Not all androids have a back button my mom has an android and there is no back button

There probably isn’t a single person that watched this that didn’t immediately start investigating the capabilities of their current device. The longpress space to move the cursor works on android too btw.

Again, more steps to get simple things done😔

As another employer, thanks for explaining appropriate boss etiquette. It's really important for us to respect our employees' ability to be off the clock when they're not getting paid. It's not cool to text people when they are off the clock. It's essentially stealing their time. It is sad how profoundly moving it was for me to hear you mentioned this very basic courtesy. It sounds like your team is well treated. Strong work
Let me guess you're one of those people who days, "I don't get paid enough to do that" you can't answer a text message when you're off the clock😂😂
I normally use the screen brightness instead bc it's easier to control the brightness
If the clock app used 24 hours, that would be an easy solution. There would be no need for setting the am/pm.
When I see time remaining is when I'm 100% sure that I've set correct alarm.
"as a boss I should not be texting people when they're not getting paid" I think I love you
Doing job is a commitment.
Here's a few tips for people having the same complaints:
3:00 You can flick it down so it opens fully without draggin it the whole length of the iphone. It still opens the whole thing but atleast its faster.
4:45 You can hold the wifi icon to expand it and press "open wifi settings" or "open bluetooth settings". Still takes a lot of clicks but atleast you dont have to search for the app.
6:16 You can press the spacebar and the keyboard will turn itu a trackpad, its actually much more convenient and accurate imo because i have fat fingers
8:48 You can hold the notification to show the full message or email or whatever it is without reading it.

The back gesture on iPhone seems very unpredictable though. The back gesture on Android works consistently

@@scottwilkins I think you missed the point. Using a phone for 100 days is a good grip on how well it is, compared to most reviews that are 1 week.

A text after hours is annoying, but sometimes good. A call on the other hand... that you should have boundaries on.
@@SemiMono yeah a text can be fine but if it happens on a regular basis it's a thing of respecting your employees at least my contract is ending soon
How on Earth can a phone call from your boss ruin a whole evening? That sounds like an exaggeration at best. A simple press on either volume button, and the call is silenced.
Instead of having 10 short videos, I would have one continuous with all interesting bits in one. Instead I have to use an app to stitch all together.

I will not lie there are some user errors that would avoid some of your issues but all in all valid points great vid as always c:
As a long time iPhone user, it's refreshing to see someone call out all the stupid things I've just learned to deal with over the years.

You can do it also on Android phones just tap and hold moving to left or right wherever you wanna go 😁
Actually in Android, you can map what holding space should do. Whether to change language or to move cursor.
@@amalshadin It can do the two things at the same time you don't need to map it 🤷♂️
came here to say this. and you can access setting shortcuts by pressing and holding wifi or bluetooth icons in the control centre
About the text correction, actually if you are typing you don’t need to go to the text to click it, hold the space bar and the keyboard becomes a mouse, you don’t need additional clicks
I was gonna say holding the spacebar turns it into a keyboard cursor
Android has that too, being able to look at one letter you've input wrong and click it is way faster and preferred by most
With autocorrect and text prediction it’s unlikely that you’d get a letter wrong anyways, if you get the word wrong you can double click on the word click replace and it will give you alternatives similar to that.
You can also tap and hold on the word to quickly bring up a cursor to select within a word.
Autocorrect works only for English btw, not other languages being typed using english 😂
iPhone user adding to the list:
The Bad:
- Camera flash: Great, but needs 3 Clicks to be activated: Dropdown - Flash - Activate.
The Worst:
- Apple does not give a damn.
OMG that spacebar trick will save me soooo much annoyance! How are users supposed to learn about that feature???
just wanted to say that
Another small tip: when you want to type a number quickly just hold the 123 button with one thumb and type the number that you want with another and then when you stop holding it it goes back to letters.
It just complicates it.
ALSO!! the CALCULATOR!! Idk if it’s because i don’t know how, but on iPhone i can’t see even the history. While on android, i can see the whole mathematical sentence with running subtotal and the history!
I've found the app Numerical^2 works well. Its free and has no adds (swipe the numberpad left/ right, not the result area to see history)
True.. The Apple Calculator suck.

But Android can do that too, so comparing things that one can do and the other doesn't, Android works better.
@@villram7389Perfect. What a needlessly complicated place for it to be...
It’s great you gave the iPhone a chance. It fits for some not others but you were great in you evaluations.
@@arthurlejawka6392 yes, bring back 3D touch!!
I actually never knew that, I will be using it a lot on my iPad lol
@@seink21I have two languages and I’ve never had that happen? Esp. since the change language button is on the very bottom left…
I work in aluminum factory and I bought the Z-Fold 4 and it fucked up within 5 months inner screen is dead
You can also do the same on android as you wish, it's just slower
what if its really long text?
LOL! He only used an iPhone for few days he doesn’t know how some gestures work
@@beinjar5634its the same on android lol
@@Dooraemonnwhen you have long text it works as a mouse so you’re able to pinpoint the letter you want to go on
If I'm sick and need to let my boss know I won't be going to work I will schedule a message for in the morning so I don't have to wake up early when I'm not feeling well. That is VERY handy to be able to do.
iPhone fanboys will probably tell you that iPhones will soon be able to do that, too. Sure, but how many years later?
@@SayAhh iOS 18 can do this... now
@@0Imtheslime0 Kool, that only took 10 years 😂🤣😂
I didn't know about text scheduling all my life, as an Android user, just tried it i think its going to be my next best feature, glad i watched this video.
LOL. Same here. Sounds useful!
Same here.
Yep...not being able to leave icons off my home screen is a deal breaker for me. I want to enjoy my wallpaper which is a pic of my pups. 🐶 🐕
the icon placement thing IS a deal breaker for me too
Something related to that, I much prefer being able to remove apps from the home screen and then having the rest accessible by swiping down.
Samsung Keyboard also has that.
EVERY keyboard has this...
I didn't know this was a thing. Interesting
I don't think that this will change his opinion tho 🤷🏻♂️
its still a pain for longer texts. even in android you have scroll all the way up and down to correct spelling
super valid reasons to switch back to android, but I gotta say your issues with the "more clicks" on iPhone can all be remedied if you knew more of the gestures built into the iPhone
Apple should definitely think about scheduled texts. I didn't even know android had that. it sounds goated asf
it is!
you can scredula a text lol with shortcuts
I've had scheduled text since I had a Galaxy Intercept lmao
Android has many things ios doesn't, for example creating a qr code from a contact if you want to share your number with someone is possible only on android (not sure if Apple finally implemented this)
And iPhone has that lmao, and has had it for years. WTF are you people on? It feels like people crapping on iphones here never used one.
You can't count...come on Man ...LMAO
I’m pretty sure the countdown is in the island at the top in orange.
well then switch back!! i just started to use the s24 ultra, man what a phone
I just want to say as an Android user who has tried to use iPhones all the points that you brought up are so valid and I'm glad to hear someone else speak about them thank you
😂 it’s the exact same for iPhone users switching to androids … nobody seems to understand it’s just based on what you become comfortable with
@@traphomebabyHaha, I was gonna say that. So true, idk why people doesn’t thing bout it that way.
Thanks for sharing your honest opinion of the experience, Zack!
And for Samsung users, DEX mode has been a lifesaver for me. I have been using it for the past 6 months as a replacement for my business laptop. People look at me like I'm nuts when I plug my phone into the projector and start using a mouse and keyboard. Then I use the s-pen to glide through slides.
Why would they look at you like you're nuts? It's just technology.
cause it's a phone, 97% of people use laptops or desktops for work so people do not expect a whole powering a presentation.

Dude, this is freaking huge! How did I not know about the space bar thing?
Funny enough I learned this short cut while at the Apple Store last year.
the rewind is up to the app not the phone
I just tried it thanks for the tip but as advised, it's still a hassle to do something so simple. This limitation is really annoying when you're trying to fix a typo and need a quick edit.
Dude this is a game changer!!! Never knew this
In case you don’t know, with both systems you can hold the wifi/bt icon in the quick panel to have quick access to the relative settings
