Yes, agree. Very odd that RE decided not to fit a centre stand to the Scram. The new Guerrilla has 17” front and rear’s, not the “Scram” type I was thinking of, but I was just trying to imagine what it might be, without knowing 😂. Having seen the Guerrilla, I can’t wait to get on one, and will as soon as they are released. Cheers

@@ianhughesroyalenfield I am going to test the scram tomorrow at my local RE dealer /i'm on the other side of Europe but it does not matter really/ .. The 2nd hand market at the moment is flooded with almost new Himmys 411s and it's real bargain to get one now. Cheers, i'm watching your Himmy 450 adventures.

Thanks. Well, the million dollar question. Most lav mic’s are too “hot”. The mic I use, is a cheap one off Amazon which is sadly no longer available. I did have quite a bit of success with this set up th-cam.com/video/Lelq7jGGR7w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xG7kE8EONp7PJM8P , but found when riding different bikes (particularly ones with a small screen up front), I was still encountering clipping. Admittedly, not meaning to sound big headed, it was still way better than many others out there, but I currently use the DJI 3.5mm mic adapter with the cheap Amazon mic. Camera recording volume is set to -6, then increased in editing. If you can find the mic anywhere, it is a HAMA VSOP (then some numbers I can’t remember) Notebook Mic. It didn’t have good reviews, but perfect for our situation. Hope this helps, if you watch my later vids, on different bikes, including doing over 80mph on the Himi 450, I think we are getting there, with just the right amount of “ambience”. I find when listening to vloggers who are using the wireless mics, they can sound too sterile, to the point that they would be better off just recording the exhaust note, then do voice over in editing. @RiderReview if you use lav mics, you will always struggle to be free of wind noise…..but we do need to retain some, so the viewer still has the feeling of riding a motorcycle. The trick is to try to not get the annoying clipping. Speeds in excess of 50-55mph are always going to be tricky. If you really want to eliminate as much wind noise as possible,then look at the wireless option, but you will also lose exhaust…however your voice will be clear.

@RiderReview yes have seen them. I have been trying to master it for 5years. It’s a nightmare ! To be honest, it really didn’t bother me. Yes, there was a bit of buffeting as I mentioned. Maybe 80 mph constant cruising would become tiring , but dropping down to 70mph every now and then would be fine. I have ridden bikes with bigger screens that have been a lot worse. Don’t know if that’s much use. All the blurry bits on the motorway, are above 75mph, and what you hear, is what I hear. I certainly didn’t get any head shake 😉

I'm nearing the end of my third covid week and still struggling, seems to have sent my newly acquired asthma into overdrive. At least we haven't got to put up with all the lockdown nonsense anymore 🙄

Well Ian, that’s spooky 🤗. Ann’s brother had stents, which sorted him out (no doubt the meds help too). Ann has had her meds changed, and others added too 🤔. No doubt these might change after all the other tests etc. Ann agrees about the meds making you feel like crap 😢, it’s a bugger mate, make no mistake. Thanks

Thanks Jonathan. I too have heard/read that the 411 Scram is to get an engine size increase, time will tell. Maybe I should have worded it differently, but I meant that the Guerrilla is a “Scram” version of the Himi 450, not necessarily to replace the existing Scram, lord knows if that makes any more sense 🤔😂, this was a prime example of trying to concentrate on the road, and controlling the drivel which exits my mouth 🙄😂. I like the way that RE are still providing bikes for traditional fans, as well as offering more up to date motorcycles, though I hope they don’t think that they can compete with the big boys, as they can’t ! They have to be careful, as the Chinese bikes are gaining momentum, especially CF Moto, which is one of their main competitors against the Himi 450, with many saying it’s a better bike. Roger, at Crewe Motorcycle Centre, has bought a load of the Himi 411’s as demand is still there for them. Thanks for the well wishes. I am just working on a video, where I attempt to explain what’s been happening with us. The first part of the ride is ok, but I forgot to plug the bloody mic in to the camera on the return, so relying on zoom audio. Really don’t know how it’s going to turn out, or whether to just scrap the second half 🙄. My mind is fuddled at the moment. Cheers
