Hello, we start with an apology, prior to having a look around the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Aurora in Aurora Blue and briefly the Aurora Black version. I was originally unsure whether the touring seat etc was standard, but they are on this model. It also comes with the screen, tripper (sat nav device), LED Headlight, and a "Classic" look, which really looks different to what we have become accustomed to on the Meteor range. Splendid in fact !

Due to the lighting in the showroom, the colour may be a bit different to what it is like in the flesh. The blue, is more of a powder/baby blue, very nice !

That Aurora is a splendid looking bike. I can hardly keep up with all the models in the R.E. range now. Looking round that showroom there was plenty of eye candy. Shotgun, Signals 350 etc. 👍👍

Ian, that looks like as many hours riding then it will be polishing. Chrome looks nice on other people's bikes, not on mine. Learnt that on my first bike.

The red 01 on the White Shotgun tank means 1901 when RE started Ian.

Sorry to hear about the family issues, Ian, and I hope that the issues dissipate quickly.
I think the new colour scheme looks very nice and also that the bike comes with a front mudguard extender, presumably as standard; I wish that all manufacturers would fit sensible mudguards, ones that actually work, rather than the current fashion bikini versions that are all looks and zero function.
Thanks Chris. Yes, I meant to highlight that shaped rigid mud flap, but in typical me fashion, forgot 🙄 I really like the look of these Aurora’s, now more classic looking than the Classic 😂 When I see the green and cream colour scheme, I think about the old BSA Bantam’s. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Yes, I see what you mean about the green one being reminiscient of the Bantam D1's colour scheme, Ian. It takes me back, as the Bantam was the first bike I ever rode on the road, back in the late 1950's!

Sorry to hear about your recent family issue, whilst hoping you get back to normal very soon, and we see you back on Clemantine asap .Not sure about the colour of pale blue (to blingey for me). That’s a gorgeous bike! It reminds me of my Celestial Blue Super Meteor. I think they have brought these out as an equivalent line to their big sister the Celestial Super Meteor.

Gotta say Ian Royal Enfield probably do the best looking paintwork of most all the manufacturers they really present well hope everythings pans out ok for you with the issues at hand and normality resumes soon .👌👍

Thanks for the heads up with the Aurora. Looks a good bike. Love the Shotgun too. RE are making some lovely bikes. Will stick with 'Ruby' my red and chrome RE 350.

Evening Ian hope all turns out for the best. Enfield keep surprising us with new toffees. I think they might have a surplus of those touring seats so they thought how can we shift these seats? Sell them for half price or bring a new model out 😊 Aurora moment 😊

Hi Ian, I picked my Aurura up on March 1st and went for the Green/Cream option. All 3 variant paint schemes look great. Yes, the touring seats comes as standard but can't see any difference in comfort levels to the standard one. Hope things return to normal for you asap.🙂👍

Hi Ian, hopefully things are getting sorted, family comes first, we all understand that, as for the Aurora it’s a very pretty bike with some nice features, some purely cosmetic ones, wire wheels,shiny engine and lovely paint schemes but it also has some practical changes that haven’t really been noticed by many, a extended front mudguard extension and the pillion backrest has been extended further back than on previous models, they aren’t groundbreaking technology but they do make a difference to the practicality of a bike like this, all the best buddy 👍

Agree about the off set speedo and loose the tracker too in my humble opinion.

@@ianhughesroyalenfield I saw something today that showed the 650 Classic Prototype riding around in India & it's coming out soon.
If one comes out be good if they do pastel colours like Halcyon Grey & that Aurora colour.I can see RE making Classic 650 the last 650 bike.
@ruahinesrider agreed. I have been saying about the new Classic 650 for a while, and mentioned it on the Shotgun video too. Some TH-camrs are dismissing it (Stu Fillingham being one), but I am sure it will make an appearance. Something along the lines of the Shotgun, with shiny bits. As we know RE, while have a cracking array of colour schemes sorted to entice us all 😂

looking to buy this beautiful motorcycle in the next couple of months but i cannot for the life of me decide whether i like the aurora green or blue more! which one do you think looks better? cheers.
Personally, I prefer the blue, but so do many others too. I can honestly say that I have not seen a green on the road yet, so it depends whether you want to be that bit different, especially if you like both. Doesn’t really help, but I quite like the black too 🫣🤗😂 Cheers

Oh wow, brilliant. We were there shooting this video this morning, left about 1.20pm (I think)…..bugger, would have been nice to meet you both. I too had a sit on the white Hunter, my favourite colour 👍. When I get the chance, I want to take the Hunter on a nice long ride, as I only managed a short one last time. Thank you.

It is a tune called “Kurt” by Cheel (or the other way round 🤔😂), which is a copyright free tune I found on TH-cam studio. It really suits my channel. Cheers

Pardon my ignorance, but am I right in saying the cast wheel version can take tubeless tyres, and the spoked variety cannot? It's definitely a nice looking bike, especially in the silver/black.
Yes, cast have tubeless tyres, spokes are tubed. You can get a kit to turn spoked rims into tubeless. There are a few vids on TH-cam about the process. Agree about the grey/black, really classy. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Thanks for that, Ian. I'm thinking of doing longer tours on the Classic 350, and I don't think I could do a roadside repair on the back wheel. I'll check the kits out. All the best with the family issue, too.
@borderlands6606 thank you. You could do, as Tiger Ness has done, fit the RE cast wheels to your Classic 350. Downside, is that you will lose the Classic look to a certain extent.
The 01 on the shotgun tank I'm guessing is to do with 1901 the RE start year ,The Aurora is pretty but I still prefer my Meteor in Supernova blue :D

The Meteor Aurora looks good but I'm still waiting for a scrambled Hunter. I might end up doing it myself, as a few others have, if they haven't made one by the time I've got the funds. Cheers, Mick.

Non current models brand new L3,000 OTR. Used models have no value. People can't give them away.

New colors doesn't make for a new model. Ten less HP,no hydraulic valve adjustment and no kicker. For the same price as the 500. Rip-off .
Oh Frank, you really can be a miserable bugger at times……..they don’t make the 500 anymore. It’s nice to see them putting out different variations on the same theme. They are pleasing to look at 😎. Oh, and I am not going to get into an argument with you on the subject, other things on my mind.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield RE decided the small share of the Western market was not worth the effort. They said here's what we got and if you don't like it tough on you. If the Indian pop could afford a new car then they would drop RE like it was a hot 🔥 potato 🥔. Devil s advocate what can I say?
Too bad Enfield don’t produce a 650 model like this 350. Those who love the blackout look, Enfield can offer a can of black paint with their new bike. Just do your thing….
I am convinced there will be a “Classic 650” (I have been saying this for months), so wouldn’t it be nice if they did it in these pastel shades, as well as fancy colours like on the Super Meteor 650 🤞.
