Interesting video, at 4:20 it looks like there is going to be a lot of digging necessary between the overbridge and viaduct. Also interesting to see a very gentle curve on the viaduct which is not apparent closer.

Ha. At 0:42 centre left we can see Grim's Ditch coming in diagonally just in front of the pylon. HS2 were obliged to conserve as much of the ancient earthwork as possible and, judging by the slight bulge into what will become the cutting, it seems three or four metres extra of the ditch will live on for future generations of detectorists to scrabble around in. Nice footage, QM. Keep 'em coming ... 👍

Many years ago I worked on the Thameslink, when the original Kings Cross Thameslink was still open, and have walked the line from Moorgate to just north of the Bridge in this video. It's a fascinating line to have worked on, for example the track under the Barbican is mounted on a special noise attenuating system as the Barbican is so we were told sensitive in regards to vibration due to musical reasons.

Subscribed primarily due to that great footage of the Eurostar departing St. Pancras. Excellent video.

This should stand the test of time. And I wouldn't mind it adopted as a template design for low viaducts everywhere

Looks spectacular! The victorians would have been proud to build such a structure. Unlike today when every NIMBY or environmentalist wants to put a stop to everything! Now we need you to do a low level speed run along the whole length!

Once again some noticeable progress if one looks in the right places. Lots of surface drainage works for example ready for the tracks through the surface platforms.

Im sure those OHLE masts are new on the frieght link down towards Acton Main line?

Excellent series of videos and the drone views really give your a much better appreciation of how tight the site is and the logistics of this operation. Getting that crawler crane built and in a position is big task in itself as well. Thanks for braving the weather and doing the daily updates.

For context, I don't think the description of "St Pancras International Station - bridge replacement" is quite right - St Pancras station is close to a mile away from this bridge - perhaps better to describe it as something like "St Pancras Midland Line Agar Rd overpass rebuild" - Thanks!

I really love that you include Eurostar trains in these videos leaving or departing St. Pancras. I love looking at that train from the air.

Those workers are on £3000 an hour each!!!! Supervisors £8000.... No wonder a 20bn project now estimated at 220 billion and rising

You could include the ambient sounds (but not a musical overlay).

They should build over that whole section (they might be already) to basically extend the tunnel
