- Update at the construction site of what will be the temporary London terminus.
Almost a year since I was last here and on the surface, not a lot appears to have changed!
There will be a railway possession of the GWR mainline over the festive period so preparatory work can be carried out in the area, AIUI.
Not sure if those are platform edges for the future GWR/Elizabeth Line that can be seen towards the end of the footage… they look like they could be yet the station is many years away from opening.
HS2 is the UK's newest high speed railway linking London Euston to Birmingham (140km) and the north. High speed trains are due to stop here in the early 2030's.
London Old Oak Common to Birmingham Curzon Street - 45 minutes
London Euston to Birmingham Curzon Street - 49 minutes
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. It’s appreciated!

What drone do you use? Great quality ❤
Impressive just how much wider the station footprint is than the current lines through the site
That place will be pretty damn grandiose
Big modern station and transport hub, with lots of possible destinations. 👍
As with a lot of modern construction, nothing seems to happen for a while and then the building 'jumps up'. Other videos provided by HS2 show the enormous amount of work done underground.
Great vid. Any chance of some funky music?
Thanks. Love music. Will definitely bear that in mind. 👍
Shame about the music.
A Lot of concrete went into building that. I am not sure many of us really want to travel out there to catch a Train North though. Useful for Wormwood Scrubs I guess.
And yet many places in London are easier and quicker from Old Oak than Euston, even Canary Wharf is roughly equal due to the Elizabeth Line connection. Both have advantages depending on final destination or initial starting point.
