- Update at the lakes Korda, Savay, Harefield lake as work continues at ground /lake level and on the viaduct itself.
HS2 is the UK's newest high speed railway linking London Euston to Birmingham (140km) and the north. High speed trains are due to cross the colne valley area here in the early 2030's.

Another great vid, QM. Beautiful light. Just imagine - some future HS2 passenger will have all of 38 seconds to gawp at that late autumnal scenery. Maybe they'll feel slightly short changed and head to your channel for a more relaxed view of the Colne Valley.
Nice to see the piers gradually being released to stand proud above the lakes and there seems to be good progress on the parapet and 'James Bond' screens. Ha.

The removal of the haul road has made quite a difference hasn't it, especially at Moorhall Road with unobstructed views of the lake- the compound area seems to have shrunk a bit there too. Thanks for watching! 👍
As a standalone infrastucture it is quite beautiful and if every piece of engineering could fit into the UK landscape as this does I'll have no complaints.

I think you’re right there. Mind you they do have a slightly larger pool of workers to choose from,lower paid workers I gather too… 👍

Some of the viaducts they’re building over there are impressive!! With a little effort presumably we could be a bit more efficient. 👍
