- Footage taken from Leather lane (overbridge) to footpath o/b TLE/2 and Bowood Lane overbridge.
The bridges look close to completion but i doubt they'll be opening to the public anytime soon. Also noting the land take - curious as to why so large!
This area is south of Wendover and north of the chiltern tunnel north portal.

Ha. At 0:42 centre left we can see Grim's Ditch coming in diagonally just in front of the pylon. HS2 were obliged to conserve as much of the ancient earthwork as possible and, judging by the slight bulge into what will become the cutting, it seems three or four metres extra of the ditch will live on for future generations of detectorists to scrabble around in.

Interesting video, at 4:20 it looks like there is going to be a lot of digging necessary between the overbridge and viaduct. Also interesting to see a very gentle curve on the viaduct which is not apparent closer.
Yes it looks as if it will need to be a deep and narrow cutting.. looking in the distance at the alignment of small dean viaduct... Thanks for watching :)

Ah ok, i suppose all the earth excavated from around the tunnel portal area had to be relocated to somewhere close by. Thanks!
It'll all be used for embankments and landscaping.
