HS2 Colne Valley Viaduct

Update after 3 weeks. 'Dominique', the launching girder that constructed the Colne Valley Viaduct, is ...where is Dominique? …on her way to France…?
On Friday afternoon, there's alot of activity across the various sites here!

Thanks for posting, a lot of finishings happening, The grass growing on the banks to the new Harville Road. The soil coming up to the top of the air vents on the Copthall Tunnel, Dominique in pieces and in containers. All the triangular sections are tucked away, but the big cross members have to be dismantled to get them into a container like a giant Meccano kit...

Somewhere under that green bank of tender young grass shoots is the site of a little hut occupied by two nice ladies who were campaigning against the proposed HS2; and where I was kindly offered a cup of tea and given a mug printed with an image of an elephant and the words High Speed White Elephant

I did put an offer in, as I'd like a viaduct in my back garden. However this was unaccountably rejected!
