SEED Freedom repaired my sour taste against SEED Destiny because Naturals finally have a minor role in COMPASS, while coordinators became sidelined by Accords whose problem was prophesized by Rau Le Creuset. However, the major problem remains that Director Fukuda is either a closet fascist or an idiot because there is a huge power imbalance or plot bias towards the coordinators. I would not surprised if Fukuda is actually a fascist one because there is no shortage of Japanese directors having scandals related to right-wing politics or worse pedophilia (a recent executive in My Name was charged for this). Not to mention that the allegation of Fukuda's cheating on his wife has certain legitimacy because he later remarried with the very voice actress being accused of infidelity. The very reason why SEED was successful is because its primary audience is in Asia who love RomCom which involves adultery, NTR, and emotional abuse. SEED Freedom has all of those RomCom aspects included with Coordinators saving the days as filthy Naturals are useless. Anyway, Coordinators do not exhibit any sympathetic characteristics, while many of them are outrightly supremacists even worse than Ghiren's Zeon fascists of One Year War. Even Ghiren's goals have a certain rationale behind his evil actions like overpopulation or ecological reasons, and he was the primary engine that helped Zeon rise to power in the first place. Meanwhile, ZAFT and coordinators are just straight-up supremacists akin to the Khan's Augments in Star Trek. Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny can be considered what Khan's dream from Star Trek will look like. I always root for Rau Le Creuset to win and destroy such a horrible setting of bad writing and closet eugenicism. Naturals in the series never ever have a win except for SEED Stargazer which should have expanded to repair the mess that was created by Fukuda & Morisawa in the first place. Hell, I rather bring back Director Tomino to write a new sequel since SEED is the retelling of the original Gundam Series but a very poor one. Perhaps, the future SEED sequel will involve the war between Earth and Martians (who actually implement Destiny Plan) but I don't want Director Fukuda to be near it. My final verdict for SEED Freedom is a repaired bridge between SEED and a sequel that is good enough to pretend SEED Destiny never existed.

You know to me for this movie the psychic manipulation was what I found interesting for this story of orphee was using it on lacus To get her to fall for him and use it on Kira to make his anger feel like he needs to try harder which activates his rage mode And I also liked the action Gundam moments to the movie but I really like the drama of the movie

I love Seed and Destiny but most of your complaints are reasonable. Yeah, I wish they showed how things get repaired. A Gundam will lose its weapon or shield, and then it just has it again next sortie. Obviously the assumption is they're repairing things on the ship or have extra resources on hand, but not seeing that does suck. And you touch on why people love or hate Seed, it is a personal story about the character's and their dramas. The themes, politics, and greater messages are secondary. The reason we love Seed is almost entirely because of how lovable the cast of characters are. The Infinite Justice hiding in the Z'Gok isn't that unrealistic actually lol, in fact, Bandai is releasing a kit of this. The gold coating on the Akatsuki is specifically designed to reflect beams, so the machine is capable of deflecting high powered beams like the Minerva's positron canon in Destiny. I think deflecting the Requiem IS a bit much, though it's shown (barely) that the Akatsuki is basically rendered useless after this. The problem with the movie is that it's just cramming way too much. This would have been much better as a 10 or so episode anime. Really hoping we get an extended edition or turned into a short anime. Some of your critiques were a bit nit picky but I think you were fair. While I can recognize some of these issues, they largely don't detract from the overall story and journey with these beloved characters. I think the movie was made similar to how some approach producing television a season 1 show, with the assumption that it might not get greenlit for season 2. Now that they've proven people REALLY want Seed, I think (hope) we'll get more and they'll slow down and take their time telling a story. There's a TON of material that apparently fleshes out the movies. For example, there's a two second flash back to the Strike Freedom getting slashed by a Black Knight. Apparently Agnes' boyfriend stole the SF and Foundation helped stop him lol. So yeah, love Seed, thought the movie was good but not as good as Seed and Destiny, and I'm hoping we get Gundam Seed Justice!

The units of Freedom and Justice between GS, GSD & GSF (movie) are all different. At least for GSD & GSF, the final units of Freedom and Justice are (minor) upgrades, seen from their “spec II” designation.

So while the text says Dancouga this is actually Final Dancouga I think it was a scrapped upgrade for the anime but was later used in various super robot wars games Dancouga's a combiner robot with animal robots that turn into vehicles that also combine into a guy In Dancouga, there's a guy who's not officially a part of the Cyber Beast Team with his own animal robot. when his robot combines with Dancouga, It becomes Final Dancouga

Knowing the guest characters in the main game, we can expect Zeorymer, Dangaioh, Patlabor, Gurren Lagann, Arhan and Aquarion but probably not Tekkaman Blade unfortunately. If they expand the roster down the line, they might have space for Shin Getter, Mazinkaizer, Lazengan and either Great Zeorymer or New Zeorymer.

that Gundam seems to be more like a variation of the Origin version of Amuro's RX-78-2, especially because of that shoulder canon design which is usually seen in Origin-related contents. Basically another new Gundam type MS introduced for the One Year War, although this show might be like the Origin in that it's not canon. This does gives MS IGLOO vibe, so it would be like MS IGLOO 3 (since there is IGLOO 2 serkes which tells stories of EF soldiers)

Us After War Gundam X fans gotta stay together. Fucking underrated of a show, it's a shame it didn't get dubbed back in Toonami.

I couldn’t get into the original MSG until I watched Origin first. Having the characters and world already established made everything feel a little less goofy, and made me realise why I should care about the Zabi, the fella with the silly glasses, and the war in general.

My introduction to Gundam was IBO. Got the Graze Ein gunpla a long time ago but only got around to watching the whole show again after building a almost 30 more gunpla lmao.

What I got from watching your critique is that you need to play the 3rd Gen of AC games. I feel that the points you laid out here stems from your experience from playing AC2 and falling in love with it. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing, I am a 3rd Gen loyalist myself. Though the AC franchise is a franchise of change, adaptability and improvement, and AC6 is the testament of that. Regarding your comment about the plot/story not really being a core part of mech games, I would like to digress; in my oppinion, story enchances the experience even more. The early AC franchise (1st Gen to 3rd Gen) didn't really have that phenomenal story telling but it was still able to convey to the players the thematic point it wants to tell them: the dangers of extreme capitalism. This too is also a big characterization of what FromSoft is, they have a vision and they convey their vision by using gameplay and story. This is why I think stories in AC games is a must and should have some focus like how AC6 is now.

When it comes to melee weapons being stronger, they were even stronger in gen 5 to the point where a dual wield laser sword build could instant kill light-medium ACs, and they had no cooldown and massive range. The reason they weren't overpowered though is that you had to completely manually aim them because there was no stupid hard lock. Hard lock in conjunction with instant turning DESTROYS the balance of the game

Watch the remaster movies of G no Reconguista, it fixes the series, and is highly praised. And even adds lots of new content.

So I arrived like 2 years later for this comment: For 0079, it is actually better to watch the 3 movies. The reason is that (according to Tomino himself) he improved and corrected several parts of the series that did not come out good. For example, some of the weapons of the RX-79-2. Also, the third movie is 75% new animation, as the quality of the animation got worse and worse from about mid series onwards, due to the animation director falling seriously ill. So whenever a Gundam series has compilation movies, I watch them. Yes, the Z movies are weird as they mix two very different kinds of animation (and I hate the openings and endings by Gackt), and the Turn A Gundam first movie is a mix of cut and glue scenes without much context. But usually the movies are a more polished version of the series. As for Reconguista in G, it is the first Gundam series that shows us a post-UC era. It also shows a moon civilization that is completely separate from Earth civilization, unlike what we see in the UC where you only have a few bases/cities. This paves the way towards what we see in Turn A Gundam.

I watched gundam wing when it aired on toonami when I was a kid I'm 27 right now and was like 5 when I first watched it been a fan since

Enjoyed the vid, especially the Tomino Talks. I got into Gundam during 2nd grade when Gundam Wing was aired in '98, then they aired G then X each year after that. I managed to watch 0079 in Animax in 2006 after I managed to watch Seed in 2004 at Cartoon Network, loved them both. Loved Seed for cultured reasons aside from the mech design. Saw the plot similarities with the two as an adult as I was learning how to analyze plot lines in shows. I definitely agree with Age, as my friend called it "UC for Kids" and with Build Fighters being "Valhalla" with 1 episode before the first series ended (Ep.23 I think.). For Build Fighters I liked it since it was reminiscent to a series I watched before called "Angelic Layer" where girls pit their dolls against each other in a miniature colosseum. It got me started into building Gunpla too.

0079 is enjoyable. And it's easy to follow. The parts where Char is missing do feel a bit slow, but Ramba Ral is enjoyable in his own right. I'd recommend the series, and on repeat watch the movies if you want.
