do Dublin bus not sell rambler anymore. You could get 3,5 days rambler
Thank you so much!!!!
Very valuable as I’m moving to Ireland this spring, thanks!
Dammit woman!!! Every little section you did i had a snarky comment for, but was to interested to stop and comment!!! Damn your confounding content!!!!
I wonder how Non-Drinkers would faire in Ireland? I am one of those sad descendants of Irish ancestry - on both sides - who does not drink.
Dude not a big deal! We have 0% alcohol beers now. We call it water. Shure come on over anyways. We'd be happy to take ya. Greetings from Galway.
Don't ask about leprechauns, brownies or travelers/gypsies/knackers. Some of us left Ireland over 140 years ago. The Famine. The Famine changed all Irish people, and their descendants around the planet. Yes, there is the Celtic Amygdala Storm.....
Accents? I speak an "educated" Western PA accent with traces of Hillbilly. I would not dare to visit someone else's home to make sport of the way that they talk. I like my pretty face to stay that way.
Thanks for the good info, esp the bit about the toilets!
I've lived in Ireland for 5 years now and still find I break unwritten rules. I was clapping along to musician a trad music session the other day and got frosty looks. That's a complete no-no apparently!!
Temu is great for everything
Unfortunatly you really don't know geography; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Isles this is smaller island in Britih Islas. But on the end you need to sell story to the americans.
Water can be very unsafe to drink, especially after storms, so this is very bad advice. An loads of people are buying water, filters etc
I can't agree with the part about public toilets. It is shameful that there only few of them in city centre, and also it is not possible to use toilets in every pub and to buy something to drink so you can use them it is usually at least €3. Also shopping centres are closing around 20.00 and then you are screwed.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from your channel it’s that you absolutely love a good water reflection. I’ll be visiting this area in late March and hope it’s as beautiful then, as it is in this video.
Thank you for all the great tips and info! I definitely need to watch again and take better notes.
FYI- Off-licence in the rest of Europe(main land), they don't really exist... You can buy alcohol in the supermarket at any time(as long as it's open lol)
Keep talking ... Ahhhhhh....
Hey @johnkeeley8145 , I'm not sure where to be upset about your comment or be surprised that it has a tag underneath with "translate to English" 😮
@@Badly.Lit.RENegade your reading into a response with your own translation / meaning ... the point of the response was to essentially, meaning to recognize the value the diversity of a language and acknowledging that accents are simply a reflection of a person's identity and background, not a measure of their intelligence or worth Again, please look in a mirror and gain respect for yourself and not what others alike "Woke" are telling you ! Simply a responses expressing my individual opinion of the Young ladies Irish accent and her personal delivery being one in comport and calm delivery "Ahhhhh" meaning an acceptance and like of her style and delivery of information to the public! nothing more/mothing less... be being an individual and not a group .. oh and the tag beneath is un related... rest easy ,,,
The slang some of it is used in America as well.
We have such a beautiful country.
SAME ALL OVER THE WORLD, SEEMS THAT THE IRISH ARE VIRAL ABOUT THEMSELVES, WHAT AR YA LUKKIN AA , MESELF
what are they doing molly malone's statue in the thumbnail💀💀💀💀💀
Your accent reminds me of my friends from Wisconsin in the US❤
Nobody shouts out thank you exiting from back of the bus 🚍.
Apparently you're not supposed to jump over the perimeter fence round Newgrange after it's closed and have a look around. I had this explained to me by a somewhat irate Irish woman a few years ago.
Where to find an Irish wife?
I was in Ireland in February and I used Uber for everywhere so little confuse lol
Has anyone visited Northwest Mayo? That’s where I would like to go
In no disrespect, Any irish person that brings their Hate and Grudge Matches to the United States should be deported back to ireland never to return for causing unwanted violnce and Hate Crimes . Tis s not the old Country this is not yhe Fatherland. Here where i am ix the United States there are laws to be followed . If not leave dont come back .
Ireland homeland of my ancestors. A place where Mythology, Legends, Superstition, And History Collide. A place where Legends and heroes and Hidtory are born . A place of beauty and elegance and Natural Wonder. We are all not given choices of the families we all come from or religions we are all brought up in. Ive had my hares of Bad encounters with bad irish people in the UNITED STATES. Who have persecuted me Racially and Politically in both the Catholic and Protestant faiths alike who bring their Hstred And Religious Grudge Matches here to this country unlawfully . Maybe they came from Abusive Families who are filled with bsd wiring. Im a mixed heritage person adopted at 5 years old in the UNITED STATES And brought up as Catholic but not of free choice. I zm well aware of the ongoing conflicts surrounding the Catholics and Protestants for Centuries. I cannot and will not Tolerate the Hatred then I won't Tolerae it Now . I am based on better principles and standards . Im not coming to ireland to be involved in anyone's international conflicts or Religious Grudge Matches. Im coming to ireland to discover my family history culture legacy and heritage and Traditions. I want to know my people and the towns there in peace without Judgment, Fear, Hate, Or Prejudice. Us people of ireland need to set ourselves to higher standards to be a Loving and Caring And Compassionate Communities to ensure the safeties of those that come there. I also want a place to call , HOME. I hope and Pray thabthe people of ireland understand that someday too.
And if you are queuing at a bus stop, everyone should be in a line facing the traffic and parallel to the road. Not in a big messy group gathered around the bus stop. Also, make sure you are at the actual bus stop. I see many people expecting the bus to stop at the real time info sign when that is placed a bit away from the actual stop!
Lots of great, practical, helpful tips and ideas here. Thank you 🙏🌿💜
Note on the tapwater: If you're at my old granny's house DO NOT drink the tapwater. Other places fine. But DO NOT drink my granny's tapwater. It is unfiltered groundwater, NOT drinking water.
Really dull city. Avoid
Tipping in the USA has gotten ridiculous. I did find out in Ireland they pay service staff much better. In the USA, wait staff get a joke wage. Local servers told me they'd hate the American System. I also noticed everyone pitched in and helped. No one was territorial. Tended to be much nicer as well. BTW, I am probably one of the only people who doesn't care if they ever make it to Dublin. People in Cork and Waterford both complimented my decision to avoid Dublin. Cork folks used some really colorful language about Dublin that made me laugh. I love the off the beaten path for sure.
Great video! As a local, I would encourage visitors to Grafton Street to look out for and tip (many now take cards!) buskers such as the Brown Eyed Sisters at 16:43. There are many excellent performers such as Allie Sherlock, Zoe Clarke, Kylabelle, Brinda Irani, Fionn Whelan, Jacob Koopman, Dylan Harcourt, Key West, not to mention 10-year old Portia and 84-year old Vincent! ❤❤☘☘
Uber is in ireland. The Centre of Excellence is in Limerick. They are booked through the Uber app and of booked through the app they are charged off the meter as per Uber pricing
Thanks!
I went,to Ireland in the winter. There is no reason to pre-book your travel if itisn’t tourist season
So all Irish people are southern from the first 30 seconds of this video is what I’m getting. Just so you know if you’re from America and you go to Ireland, all the roads, except for the main highways are like country roads are little one lane roads with no lines on them. Also, if you’re from the south and you don’t like big cities, go to Roque and temporary and Ingle and buy everyone a round at the bar in Donnegal
A good few years ago we (wife, two wee daughters and myself) visited Ireland for the first time, we were based near Kinsale and were driving around out in the countryside totally lost and came across a country pub, we went in with the intention of having a pub lunch and ask for directions, I asked the barman/owner if they did bar lunches to which he replied " Sorry sir, we don't but if you're all hungry my wife will make you something". We've been back to Ireland many times since, it has that ' feel at home' atmosphere about it.
I love the War Memorial Gardens in Islandbridge. It is a stunning place. To be honest I believe most locals do not even know this place
Honestly when I went the one thing I would’ve changed would’ve been not go to temple bar. It was pretty for pics but very expensive
I was more than just excited. I was delighted
Watch Derry Girls and Father Ted.
I’m coming in March 2024 what is the weather going to be like for me please and thank you
overcast.
That " thank you 😊" to the bus driver is only a new thing. People here are like sheep...one does it..the next one does it. No kidding ..If I paused and courtsied to the driver like a French maid before getting off.. those following would do it too 🙄
I mean I'm nearly 30 and Irish people have said thank you to the bus driver for as long as I can remember. My parents would say the same. So I would have to disagree with you there. Also, in this circumstance so what if one person started it and everyone else followed. It's just a nice and polite thing to do?
Both look so beautiful❤
