This has been a welcome throwback to my visit to Slovenia 7 years ago. I did a similar tour to you with white water rafting and the stop off at the highest mountain pass, but we also went to the source of the Soca river and swam into a waterfall - unreal. Ended the tour by traveling on a freight train in the van our guide was touring with. And the Vintgar Gorge was stunning. Memories that last a lifetime, was lovely to see those places again 😍✨
Hello, I'm from Slovenia. :-) So for all of you who travel, I can say that you will not be disappointed. You have a small million options for hobbies, there is something for everyone. ;-) But if you happen to want to experience real homemade food of the highest quality, I recommend farm tourism. because fancy restaurants are ok, but farm tourism is even better in my opinion, and everything is homemade, + they can be cheaper than these fancy restaurants, and everything you put in your mouth is from that Town you are in at the moment. Small tips for Travelers 😉👍🙃
I’ve seen your video on Berchtesgaden, how would you compare it to Slovenia? My wife and I just got home from Germany and we particularly enjoyed our time around Berchtesgaden. Now we’re starting to plan our next adventure. Looking at Slovenia or Italy or maybe a combo of both :-)
The crystal clear water... Um YES PLEASE! 😍🤩Wish I had these videos when I was young... then again, I don't think TH-cam was not even aroung then lmao!! Great videos thank you for the relevant tips on the places you have gone and on Ireland, where I am now. PS Have Revolut pay you for a PROPER tutorial on how to use it. From the US and it took forever for the money to get from my bank to the card. MEOW!😡
Did you rent a car to with your friends to move from place to place? I went to slovenia in october, it was cold but still really beautifil. And I used 'get your guide' tours to go to places because I was by myself.
I personally would not recommend the hostel I stayed in in Bled. It wasn't the cleanest and had a problem with flys. liveadventuretravel.com/best-hostels-in-europe-for-solo-travellers/ Here's a list of hostel sI stayed in on my trip and my personal opinion of each
As a local (from Slovenia) I haven't been to Bled since Yugoslavia times and I have no intention of ever going there again because the local mayor has made it abundantly clear that they do NOT want locals there.

I think you’ve officially added Slovenia to my ever growing wish list. The lake, the mountains, the forests😍
