Deer Hunting in Michigan: 2024 Archery Season - Episode 2
Come along on my quest to fill two deer tags in 2024. In this episode I continue deer hunting during the early archery season in the Northeastern lower peninsula of Michigan with my CenterPoint Sniper Elite crossbow. In this episode, after having a nice buck come in at 50 yards, I break out my decoy and start hunting with a deer decoy. I'm hunting our 80 acres of private land in the big woods of Michigan where the nearest ag field is 18 miles away. We have 5 small food plots on the property with established permanent ground blinds. Follow along as I hunt the rut in the big woods hoping to have a crack at a nice buck while pursuing my goal of punching 2 tags and filling our freezer with venison. Be sure to subscribe to the channel and follow my hunting journey which, in addition to early archery season, may include firearm season, muzzle loader season, and late archery season. One way or another I'm committed to filling my two deer tags in 2024. Can I do it? Come along and let's find out.
In episode 1, I began the season hunting the pre-rut by myself from Thursday evening, October 24th through Saturday evening October 26th, 2024. Here is a link to that Episode: th-cam.com/video/yvqIYtPAx8M/w-d-xo.html
In this episode (#2) I will show you around the property a little and give you a better look at some of our food plots as well as a couple of hunting blinds. During this episode I'll be hunting the Michigan deer rut with my crossbow from two different ground blinds on the property.
Thanks for watching.

    remember guys like me I like to put my old stuff back into what I replaced it with so stick your old windshield the stock one into what you’re replacing it with box it up put it to the side that way you have your stock stuff left especially if you have anniversary bikes, or a special edition bike…..

  • @Heavy69Metal

    You can address that in the directions as no more left or right all manufacturers should go by a standard on motorcycles clutch side throttle side there there’s no mistake. How many throttle are on the left side versus the right and vice versa. The throttle is the right side the clutch is the left side, so by going to the standard ofit goes on the clutch side and it goes on the throttle side anyone who’s a biker or even a motorcycle enthusiast or beginner motorcyclist to a season, motorcyclist or biker would understand the terminology on the clutch side or on the throttle side. PROBLEM SOLVED

      I don't know the exact measurement. The top of the 12 inch is 6.5" up from the top of the dash. I would guess that the 10" is halfway between the OEM and the 12 inch. Best of luck...

    hey Todd, I have just purchased CRF300L. I always obsess over taking care of my gear and perhaps it's kind of compulsion. I'm thinking about the oil change after first 500 km, the service manual says it should be done after 1k km. Do you think it can be done with regular oil that Honda recommends, or perhaps there is a special kind of oil used in the 'break-in period'? Thanks a lot in advance for any reply!

    • @ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal
      @ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would follow the directions in the owners manual. I've used the OEM oil in all my motorcycles. Yes, it can be more expensive, but you're talking a few bucks now and then. Follow the manufacturers recommendation... best of luck.

    Come on man, obviously the plastic piece creates separation between 2 contact points. When you fire it, the nock closes and completes the contact. Common sense should yell you to pull the nock out to break the contact. Twisting it doesn't do anything. Pretend like you're putting the plastic back between the shaft and the nock.

    Todd, I really like your straightforward no bs, just good solid information approach. My Harley experience is limited to a few miles on a 1965 Sportster, a dangerous POS if there ever was one, and a hundred miles on a1991 Electra Glide, also worthless. Until the redesigned frames on the touring models in 2010, or thereabouts, I had no interest in Harleys. I stayed with BMW, a 65 Bonneville and various Japanese bikes for 250,000 miles. But my grandson just bought a Sportster 1200 and I'm tryingto learn about the brand. Most websites are loudmouth bs, but you, Jon's Moto Garage and Doodle on a Motorcycle are informative and worthwhile. Thanks. 😂.

    I have a 2019 Sport Glide with 39k miles on it. If I decide to upgrade to a harley road glide or street glide, what is the key differences between the two? Which characteristics or riding style would favor one over the other?

    • @ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal
      @ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal หลายเดือนก่อน

      The road glide has great handlebars right off the showroom floor with no need to change for most people. Not the case with the street Glide. The Road Glide has a frame mounted fairing that is very stable in the wind. The Street Glide has fork mounted fairing and can be greatly affected by the wind. Those are just two things to consider. Hope that gives you a couple things to investigate between the two bikes. Best of luck...

    Hey Todd , I had a 2012 RG but I guess you could say, I downgraded to the 2018 Sport Glide, it was merely because of arthritis issues , needed a lighter bike , I have been on long weekend trips on the SG and it was just like the RG , minus that extra weight. The SG is a two in one bike and most rides were day trips so it worked quite well . Anyway congrats on your new purchase and enjoy many miles of happy riding , the RG is an amazing bike.
