The bike looks beautiful. I have a 2023 KLX300SM and added the T-Rex windshield too. It made riding on the highway much more comfortable and that extra protection makes the bike feel a bit safer. If you add pannier racks and some soft saddlebags you can turn your KLX into an adventure bike. Take care!
As it turned out the brake line was not an issue. As soon as you sit on the bike your weight compresses the suspension and the issue goes away. Thanks for the comment.
I am guessing you struggled with your install because you installed the bottom brackets using the bottom bolt location on the bike instead of the top bolt location ....watch other people's installation videos and you will see what I'm talking about....

spectacular machine , outstanding looks!
Many thanks!
You could try some split wire loom tubing to protect your brake line.

Couldn’t the front brake line be mounted below the bracket ?
No. The brake line is not an issue. Once you sit on the bike, it compresses the forks and comes down.
I thought the lower brackets attached to the upper bolts of the triple clamp. Are the instructions different for a 2023 KLX300?
I've ridden over 1,000 miles with the windshield on and everything is exactly the way it was when I installed it. No issues at all...
Do you think it fits on a KLX250 from 2009? I think thye are nearly th same bikes....
I'm not sure. Maybe check their website.
Do you think the small one is just too small
Yes, the large is a good fit and performs very well for me. I would not have been happy with anything smaller. Best of luck ...

I'll take a look at that, thanks for the tip.
