I'm going to be selling this seat. I just traded my bike in for a 2024 Road Glide. I'll be discounting it by 40% from what I paid, plus charging the shipping cost.
Todd I can’t thank you enough for doing this video my better half has been on me about this and like you been trying find a video that goes into more detail from a stock seat to the explorer seat. One question I do have is does your better half ride with you because my concern is does or could the lumbar pad affect a passenger as far as comfort goes in your opinion. Thank you for all your input on this and other videos as well.
The passenger pillion on the saddleman is definitely wider and way more comfortable. It like the seat gas a built-in gel center. I don't ride 2 up often as my wife has her own bike. With a sissy bar, this seat will make your passenger happy. Best of luck...
So question here. Rather than gambling on an expensive aftermarket seat, wouldn't it be better to find an excellent local upholsterer who can modify the stock seat, measure, cut, add, shape, add gel inserts, etc, and get a seat tailored to your touchie?
If you have the time and desire to go that direction, I'm sure you could do it. Doubtful that you would save any money. Because you're using the stock seat frame a back rest would not be an option.
@@ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal thanks but I’m in eastern Canada so a bit far…I didn’t know that you could install the hards bags on the Cobra docking hardware. Thanks!
Thanks for the informative video. I'm looking closely at buying the same seat for my Sport Glide.

Hello! I really want to install a rack like the one you’ve got on my low rider st. Do you have to change the docking point for that Cobra rack to fit?
It came with the docking hardware. Not sure if it's the same as Harley-Davidson. I'm selling that rack and many other parts if you're interested.
