Windows Vista registry in Windows XP
Apparently you can switch entire registry hives and Windows will still boot. Not only that, but it even lets you use Windows (somewhat) normally!

A build of Windows Chicago/95 before 58s was recently found, and it actually predates 58s by over a YEAR! Also, it can still run in standard mode/on a 286, since it completely lacks any Win32 support! Could this be done On a real machine with only uefi mode and no csm , like I do steps in VMware then clone it to my ssd ?

True story. I am forcing myself to use our 20 year old Dell Dimension 3000 this week instead of my M1 MacBook Air. I have not run into any issues. Just don’t be stupid about it. It’ll be fine.
