- tbh macOS is not actually that bad, although with no GPU acceleration it runs like garbage in VMware unless you have a particularly powerful machine.

Apple doesn't want me to make a new Apple ID. Unless I can make a new one there will be no Fixing iServices video.
For those that are going to do that manually: do NOT sign in with your main Apple ID. Make a new one if you can. That way if you blacklist it you won't have a problem.
I made a Ventura VM back in December just for the fun of it
Should I hackintosh my old laptop (Intel Core i5-1035G4, 8GB RAM, 128GB NVMe, 1366x768 display)?
yes
better give me ur 128 gb NVMe
Yep
YES PLEASE
Do it! I hackintoshed an Optiplex I had, I had issues along the way, but after those, it was good
i love it
For some reason, in disk utility, it does not detect my 80gb file
i accidentally install the beta one.... but at least it was lighter
it's probarely of no 3d is due apple's licensing issues. since for macos vm can provide gpu drivers for vmware fusion or parallels only. and you must using as macOS host. (I hackintoshed it and it works 3d acceleration for mac vms)
I have installed it but after install it just kernel panic and restart in a loop and doesnt want to boot
What is your CPU? This only works on Intel CPUs which support AVX2. You might be able to get Monterey working if you have an AMD one but you'll need to edit the VMX file
@@laglifei think thats why, my cpu only has AVX
Apple will hate this....
They probably will
Oh yeah they will
I put a Mac VM inside a Mac VM inside VMware Fusion 😂 and that's not illegal
I installed Big Sur once but deleted it due to storage
this is really interesting im subscribing in case you find a way to get graphics drivers on it
I'm going to work on that in the future after fixing iServices in the VM
Unfortunately not possible sadly. The only way to get graphics drivers in a macos vm is to run the VM inside of a macOS host running big Sur or later host in a big Sur or later guest. Or you use qemu/kvm and pass through a supported gpu
@rubiigen It’s still possible, just someone would need to reverse engineer Apple’s GPU drivers and make one for VMware’s GPU. It would take a long time but definitely not impossible
@@laglife it's basically not possible if you consider the closed source nature of macos. Took about a decade for Intel wifi to be reverse engineered into macos, an entire GPU driver is most likely not happening
yeah looking at how this works this is a massive task. There’s a GPU accelerated iOS “runtime” (hackintosh image with Xcode) though that might help if I can rip the drivers from it
the vmware sata doesnt appear. help
i cant even boot to the setup menu because it gives me the circle with the line
It’s probably not able to detect the disk, make sure it’s either SATA or NVMe
@@laglifei do have it on nvme
Try using a newer VMware if it’s outdated , I used 17.5.1
@@laglifei am already
@@laglifeI found the problem it was because I was using the pro version instead of player
Yes
i can't format it
i installed 10.15 once but deleted it due to storage
yeet
eh you must enable it from the machine settings💀
I made a Big Sur vm, then updated to sonoma and then boot loop.
Upgrading to anything past Ventura is known to be broken, clean install works best
@Windows7-k4f What’s your CPU? Most likely the reason it bootloops is that the CPU is incompatible
macOS in VMware does not work well on AMD processors, only on Intel ones
I tried it and while yes, It did booted to the setup, it didn’t detect the drive for some reason
Remember in macOS you have to partition the disk in Disk utility when installing to a blank disk. Maybe also try changing the drive controller to NVMe
@@laglife I tried with NVMe and still nothing, idk maybe I need to change the virtual device mode or something
All I know is if the installer drive was in 0:1 mode, it’s not gonna boot
Ok I think I fix the problem now
how@@ChrisSpartan
This is cool but IIRC on AMD you cannot run 13 and newer (you maybe can if you have OpenCore as the VM’s bootloader but I wouldn’t count on it)
i have an amd cpu, can i do it?
Monterey and lower should work if you add some additional lines to the vmx, Ventura and higher require OpenCore in the VM which is a huge pain to set up.
Add these lines to the VMX (found these online):
cpuid.0.eax = "0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:1011"
cpuid.0.ebx = "0111:0101:0110:1110:0110:0101:0100:0111"
cpuid.0.ecx = "0110:1100:0110:0101:0111:0100:0110:1110"
cpuid.0.edx = "0100:1001:0110:0101:0110:1110:0110:1001"
cpuid.1.eax = "0000:0000:0000:0001:0000:0110:0111:0001"
cpuid.1.ebx = "0000:0010:0000:0001:0000:1000:0000:0000"
cpuid.1.ecx = "1000:0010:1001:1000:0010:0010:0000:0011"
cpuid.1.edx = "0000:0111:1000:1011:1111:1011:1111:1111"
vhv.enable = "FALSE"
vpmc.enable = "FALSE"
If you're willing to use Linux it's pretty easy to do it with qemu/kvm. If you aren't, try the suggestion that the creator replied with
Kholia’s OSX-KVM works
MacOS in browser
added to video ideas list!
video 360p....
That happens because the moment I set it to premiere the processing stops. Maybe I should let it process for an hour or so before premiering
@@laglife yea probably
Not working unfortunately
Where does it stop?
@@laglife Well, when I do the install it ends corrupted everytime.. "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up."
@nenfal1249 Sounds like your CPU can’t run it, check if it supports AVX2
@@laglife I don't think so... :(
Ryzen 7 5700X
That’s the issue then, macOS will only run on an Intel machine. You might be able to make Monterey run by editing the VMX file but Sonoma isn’t going to work
