Reverting Windows 11 UI changes: Part 1

- Note: Do NOT try bringing back the Windows 10 login on 11 22/23H2. You will break the login screen.
I decided to make this because there have been multiple "revert" attempts but nobody has actually fully succeeded yet. When this is done I will release a script to revert an existing install to Windows 10 UI in one click.

Whenever UAC shows up in the middle of nowhere, It might be annoying for quite sometime. We all have to deal with distractions.

Did this myself back when Windows 11 came out. Instead, just decided to revert back. 10 is more stable for the meanwhile.

Video is great and I fully reliase that author just doing what nobody ever done(as he mentioned in description). But question to others who really want to use this as a guide. If you do not like design of 11, maybe just stay on 10? It's really stupid to upgrade to 11 and just INSTANTLY without giving any chance to new design, switch back to old. New design is much better is 10(in my opinion).

pls don't ignore me I have say something also i have tried same build 22000.194 1st I have tried the settings app it does not work the error say "This Operation Retuned because the Timeout period expired" also what you going to do it's not working anymore :(
would you be able to find a solution about the "new" oddly big search icon that got added on windows 10 22h2? the only solution that I found was a guy that replaced the replaced the explorer.exe file from 21h2 to 22h2 version but that might completely break your pc. I really wish you could revert that in a better way tho
It's probably enabled by a velocity id since I once had a 22H2 installation with the normal icon. MS is going to remove it sometime in the future so the only real permanent solution is reshacking Explorer or straight up disabling the search button. If you just hit the windows key and start typing it works the same
tl;dr: you can just do the explorer swap from 21H2 to 22H2, it won't break your PC
you dont understand. since 20h2 its just 20h1 with a new build number and hidden features enabled and thats all. really it will do nothing to your PC. the 22h2 explorer is probably exactly the same as the 2004-21h2 except the search icon.

no cmd would make it impossible you need powershell and cmd with other external apps
I've got a tool for that, it's called Revert8Plus.
I attempted this myself some times ago. Broke my Windows 2 times and realized that I could just install any linux distro instead of using Windows. I'm happy since then. Got a Windows 10 22H2 as a backup, and Arch as my daily driver. Cool video tho!

Can you actually do that to windows 10 but convert it to 11 like the settings app but with only the custom explorer files to do so in gpedit

@@holakokodevwls3 You can force install it, I've seen someone that got the app to open but it didn't have any buttons because of changes on Windows.UI.Xaml.dll (I think). I've also seen someone running legacy edge on windows 10 22H2. Maybe he can revert the Windows.UI.Xaml.dll file and get it to run.
