Off to the track to give the wireless engine SCADA module its first field test. The EGT and CHT aspects are tested in this video with the RPM additions in a future video. FYI, there is about a 500mSec lag between the run video and the display video with the display being slightly ahead of the run video

In this video the "failsafe kill switch" prototype is now on a PCB. Its impossible for 100% failsafe, but i'm trying to get as close as possible. Also i give a quick preview of the next electronics project for the 1/5th scale big bore platform. This project will be the start of a wireless SCADA system for remote monitoring of engine/chassis parameters with future upgrades.

He's so old I just let him sleep and eat. I would love to see what you could do with an electric RC car that was big enough to sit in. I think it would be fun to have a go cart size RC with a big motor and speed controller.

      Hey Wally, before i fabbed the thicker hinge pin braces i would snap one of the carbon fiber units after every roll. That gets expensive. Thanks for checking it out

      @RCWalletVacuum bahaha looks pretty strong now. I've found that 1/5 scales are built around the engine. The big engine requires stronger and stronger parts.

    You really went all the way. That looks like an incredible amount of work. You did an awesome job of running a camera and setting everything up. The turnbuckles look amazing. I forget what the ping pong balls were for. I always see them in chemical process lines. I guess for spatter prevention ? You now have a cool setup for all your custom aluminum parts. 👍👍

      It turned into quite the project. I knew that going in, hence the reason it took me about a year after getting the stuff to dive in. Now that i know how to do it things will go much better. Thanks for checking it out buddy

He even built a working Tesla coil and tried to make capacitors with wine bottles and solvents. Crazy stuff ... We need people like you in this world. Your able to do anything. 👍
