  • In this first video of a two part series, i start the fabrication of an all aluminum rollcage to support the weight and fury of a 50cc Taylor powered Vekta 5 LSE. The Everlast PowerTIG 250 EX performs flawlessly.

    Definitely a top notch cage. I noticed while you were welding the front mounting points you made a quick pass then went back with the filler is this meant to preheat the aluminum?

      Thanks Kyle. I do that on aluminum for two equally important reasons, preheat and an initial removal of the oxidation. I'm currently running around a 30% electrode positive and that seems pretty good with oxide removal. Thanks for checking it out
