As a Black man who has worked and stayed in various countries (not just as a tourist), I have found that American media has shaped the perception of Blacks. Especially Black Americans. Many Asians truly believe that American Black men are thugs, women beaters, deadbeat dads, criminals, rappers, athletes, etc.. Many have been told to stay away from Black men and women. And that only white men are good. UNTIL they actually meet us. Then they learn that their American media driven perceptions were wrong. They come to enjoy our company and some fall in love and marry Black people. American media (including many Black actors and actresses) have poisoned the minds of many non-American cultures about Blacks.
