  • Today I'm going to ask Japanese women about taboo questions. Their age, weight, about money, private things...I'm sure there's a lot. I'm going to interview on what Japanese women don't like being asked about.

    Tip for guys: If she's really into you / likes you, any question is OK. If she's not interested, any question, no matter how innocent, she will interpret badly and be upset. So it's more about read the air and see how she likes you first before asking anything.

    the interviews are definitely interesting. It is sometimes great to know why they have these and those reasons, if you could ask 1 or 2 more questions about the ongoing topic.

    I thought for sure the number 1 thing they would answer was about how many men they have slept with.

      Although that's pretty much important if you want to potentially go all the way with that person. But definitely something not to be asked at the start.

    In my experience the Japanese girl that was working on base was interested in me and didn't tell me she had a boyfriend. I needed to talk to her because her number was missing a digit when she gave it to me. A guy that went to get her, I founded out later that was her boyfriend. So asking her if she has a boyfriend is valid, unless she likes cheating.

    Here is the real answer folks:
    Don't ask any question that they are personally insecure about.
    Ah but how do you know what they are insecure about in the first place?
    You don't. Good luck.

    Usually when I talk to Japanese girl after a few conversations they will ask me how old are you.Although I won’t directly ask their age ,I don’t think age is a taboo in Japan

  • @hackptui
    @hackptui 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I'll never understand how people who put so much emphasis on age differences as far as how you are expected to speak to the other person can have a taboo around asking their age. How do they manage it? I mean, if there's an obvious age difference, I get it, but even a year older or younger means you use different forms of speech.

    Interesting, would you mind drilling a bit deeper into these questions. As a European I am a bit lost in understanding how Japanese people act and react. A longer interview with several different characters perhaps where the interview objects could interact with each other. I think that might result in a deeper understanding of Japanese people

    Hahahahahaha....I was living in Japan for 7 yrs and one of the first questions I was always asked: How old are you???? It is normal not to ask about money or looks all over the civilized world unless you are not well brought up.

    Asking a girl's weight, age or income is bad in any country.

    “EXCELLENT” video!! I hope and pray that men, especially (foreigners) think very carefully when asking Japanese woman questions and respect them completely if they do not want to answer certain questions!

    The second girl viewed many question in a negative way with negative impressions of herself. She assumes that if someone asks if she has changed her makeup that something must be wrong instead of something must be better. Negative image of herself.

      You can tell second girl causes drama easily, it's better to avoid even talking to her entirely, lol.

      Japan is the society of compliments. If there's no clear compliment in the sentence, it's probably a critic. You wouldn't criticize someone directly so an indirect way like asking if she changed something may be enough

    • @RiccardoGabarriniKazeatari
      @RiccardoGabarriniKazeatari 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      An example... My wife worked there as a waitress and when she forgot to bring water for a customer as soon as he sat, the customer told her it was a very hot day, paused, and hesitantly added he was quite thirsty ...INSTEAD of just asking for some water, since asking would mean pointing out her mistake. He was worried *asking for some water as a customer* could be taken as a critic of her work and felt bad for her. I hope you're getting my point here

    My age? himitsu desu :-) I am joking. I think this sort of questions( age, money...eccetera) depends on who and when they come out. I mean, sometimes a person could become unfriendly for asking and it could happen that you discover later... very much later , that is the man or the woman of your life.

    its interesting in cultural differences but there were some things that was contradicting such as the girl that said she takes time to look pretty but don't want people to verbally acknowledge because you paying too much attention? I've told a lot of guys if you ever meet a lady with too much make-up, you better take her swimming and see the "real" face before there will be regrets. I've never understood the concept of the urge of impressing others that don't even know you exist or care about you in the first place.

    The girl that talk about the legs, men really like thick legs, (even in Japan I saw it in other interviews) I meant if you are in a healthy weight, japanese girls wants to have K-pop model legs, but usually are too thin

    "Ok my lady, in what domain or activity do you have confidence in ?"
