Too much for the Doctor to handle - Rossi’s Ducati stint
At the end of the 2010 season, Rossi after 7 seasons with Yamaha, would leave the Japanese Factory to join Ducati from 2011, replacing the Honda bound Casey Stoner. What promised to be a successful relationship between an Italian rider and an Italian team, would end up being the opposite, and in this video, I go through Rossi's brief at Ducati and also explain why the partnership didn't work out.

Vauxhall warfare - Muller vs Plato 2001
มุมมอง 4.2K16 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I'm back after my 2 week break. In 2001, the BTCC was entering a new era, as gone were the popular Super Touring regulations, and in its place was the much cheaper BTC-Touring regulations. The change came too late for Ford and Honda, and it gave Vauxhall an advantage compared to the new manufacturers that entered. It was because of this advantage, that it lead to a very intense inter-team rival...

Satellite pretty much means independent team. So they aren't the official manufacturer team, although they can get support from the actual manufacturer team itself, so like for example with Pramac in 2024, which is the team that Jorge Martin rides for, they are running factory spec Ducatis, and that's because they have technical support from the Ducati Factory Team, which is the team that Pecco Bagnaia rides for.

ARe. the Silverstone incident: (1) Muller wasn't conserving tyres, he was conserving fuel, (2) the 'engine cuts' were due to fuel starvation, (3) Plato didn't go for any gap, he was lining up on Muller when Muller's engine cut out leaving Plato no time to react. From a team point of view Muller should have kept out of Plato's way and limped over the line in second. And the stewards should have kept well out of it and instead done something about the season-long Soper - Bennett feud, which was actually dangerous and required intervention.

This behavior continued into Indycar and also IMSA DPI. He couldn't quite get it together for the title in 2015 despite his two wins, but got it together with Dane Cameron in 2019 for his IMSA DPI title win which was a nice title considering it was in America racing for Penske 20 years after winning in CART for Ganassi. Winning titles in America with two different racing titans. IMSA isn't open-wheel racing but it does count as something cool. JPM said he loved the Acura Penske car and that it reminded him of his williams F1 car in that he could push as hard as he wanted and it would just keep on taking whatever he gave it. He and Cameron had some real stupid contact and wrecks in 2020 though so in a way he's always been like this. Super aggressive sometimes unnecessarily so.

Its actually confirmed, tho not official, that Enea will be joining Tech3 next season. His manager confirmed it on a recent interview. I made a post about this in the r/MotoGP subreddit and I too initally thought Enea would stay with Ducati and go to Pramac, but many people pointed out on that post that it doesnt really make sense for a rider to leave the factory team and stay with that manufacturer, because they will lilely never return to said factory team. I 100% agree with that, just think about it, the goal of every rider is to be in a Factory Team, thats why Enea is going to Tech3, if he proves himself in the KTM, he might get another shot at a factory seat. Also the rumour is KTM will essentially have 4 full factory bikes next year on the grid. They would give full support to Tech3 and rebrand the team as KTM too, ditching the GasGas branding. That as I understand, would be to attract more riders and make them feel like theyre in a proper factory setup. Heres my 25 grid: Ducati: Bagnaia, M.Marquez VR46: Bezecchi, Aldeguer Gresini: A.Marquez, Oliveira KTM: Binder, Acosta GasGas/KTM 2.0: Bastianini, Diggi Yamaha: Quartararo, Rins Pramac: Morbidelli, Mir Aprilia: Martin, Viñales Trackhouse: Roberts, Fernandez Honda: Marini, Zarco LCR: Ogura, Miller
