Another really good video, Jason. God’s own country. I love the north York moors. My grandad was a railway man at York and had use of a railway cottage at Grosmont through York RI. Still remember going up there as a toddler in the late 60’s. I have not been on YT much of late due to work (and sacked Fb and instagram off too) but enjoy your content and am catching up with it. Thanks for taking me along. Many changes from when I last did it. A coffee shop, paved areas and no golf ball at Fylingdales. It was a lot busier every time I did it, great craic at support stops with other crews.

Third time lucky - well persevered! I did it MANY years ago as a charity event for Springfield School in Starbeck. We left Harrogate at midnight on Friday 13th and the walk itself took us 18.5 hours. I could hardly move on the final leg. It wasn’t anywhere near as boggy as your trip back then though. Congrats from a fellow Dirger ⚰️

My wife and I walked the Herriot Way last week (Aysgarth, Hawes,Keld, Reeth to Aysgarth). I was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the walk and how much variety it had to offer. Not sure if you’ve already done it, but might be worth a look if you haven’t? Keep up the good work with your channel, I really enjoy your vlogs. 👍

Looking forward to your next vlog showing the LWW. I did it a few times 1970 was the first, 1990 was the last time. Interesting to see if it's changed much. The first time was really difficult as the track was non existent, the last time was a really clear track.

It’s not Cumbria. Their council boundaries and Cumbria County council was abolished last April. You’re in the Westmorland / Yorkshire border. Great up there though. Might have the coolest silhouette.

Miles of nowt? The whole area is an ecological disaster, a complete desert - man-made, man-ruined, all for the sake of sheep farming, all the ling burnt off for rich twats to come shooting, which destroys the moor's ability to absorb water, this then runs down into the lower valleys and floods the towns destroying local communities and businesses. Nowt wild about this landscape. The English uplands are a national disgrace.

Really enjoyed that. For a small island it’s great that you can find a bit of solitude in such stunning landscapes. Keep up the great work mate

Great video. Personally, my favourite area of not just the lakes, but the UK. Nothing like walking through the band and looking up at those fells either side

Beautiful area, did the WHW last year and passed through that area. I love the lakes, but you rarely feel as isolated as parts of Scotland.

Thanks so much for your videos. I'll be working in the Dales this summer and hope to walk the DHW on my days off. The info you provided about trains and buses was really helpful to me. Not sure what walks you've done already, but I definitely recommend the West Highland Way.

Bit late to this one but my msr arrives today. Bought it for camps with my son after lugging a Berghaus 2 man tent which is 3kg and a right pain to pitch 😂

You need to go to the Elenydd, that's the most remote area and much better than Snowdonia, IMHO.

Best video yet is this pal, incredible views. Loved seeing the wild horses too. Bet you didn’t expect to see that guy running over the crest 😂. Great drone footage too 👏
