- This location also holds claim to the most isolated spot in England and it’s not in Yorkshire! Armed with only a grid reference I set off to find it and ended up with an unconventional wildcamp.

Enjoyed that very much, but as a location to visit I would repeat a quote from Samuel Johnson that it was "Worth seeing, but not worth going to see." !
Hahaha I think you’re right! Although I enjoyed it I don’t fancy going back anytime soon!
I live in Thailand but I'm originally from the UK. I used to love mountaineering and trekking in Britain. Watching your vids is almost like being there, except I'm sitting in the tropics in a pair of shorts drinking a beer!. Thanks dude.
Mate it’s an honour to be able to bring the UK to you. Now all I need is some sunshine and a cold one! 👍🏻
Enjoying the channel and the commentary ,looking forward to your next adventure .
Thanks John - much appreciated. Next adventure already being planned 😉
Really enjoyed the film! I'm looking forward to doing my first wild camping in the spring. I must admit, where you pitched next to that track I would be worried someone would come along in a vehicle and tell me to move on. Will subscribe look forward to the next film
Thank you really appreciate it! - my pitch was a bit strategic. The track was a dead end and quite far from the main forestry track so highly unlikely to have any people passing or checking although it is always a risk! And I was running out options!
Nice work Sir, if you can go to Kielder at new moon, the night sky is exceptional. You can get Milky Way photos with your mobile phone, set the ISO as high as it will go and the exposure to 30 seconds. Use the timer to delay the exposure, then lay the phone on the ground. BR John
Thank you for watching and your advice 👍🏻I will keep my eye on the moon phases for the next trip and give it a go!
Great video Jason. Really enjoyed that. You are very engaging and turning out consistently good content. Due to go walking with three or more pals on Sunday and will tell them about your channel. Cheers John (Keto150)
John. Thank you again. Enjoy the weekend and get em signed up 😉- ATB Jason
well, my friend , maybe your camp didn't go as planned, but it beats sitting at home doing nothing. I'm sure you will go back sometime, and it will work out like you planned. have a great one and I will see you on the next adventure.
Dwayne
Dwayne - you’re right. It was great just to be out there! Got a couple of crackers planned for March! ATB Jason
Very nice video 😊
Thanks for watching and the sub- 👍🏻 always apprenticed ATB - Jason
I think i walked past this spot in October my approach was from Matthews Linn carpark walking on forest tracks to High Long house and turning right here to the end of this track and your grid ref is in a recent felled area. ( I reached Glendhu hill this way)
Yep - that’ll be the one. I’m not normally put off by signs. But there was a huge sign about not going any further. Farmers don’t normally spend time or money if they don’t mean it.😉 I might go back now!
@@cragratoutdoors I continue until challenged then politely retreat😊 you should have been ok if your polite and calm when confronted by landowners, remember trespass is not a criminal matter🤣
@@waynerowlett5239 you’re spot on - didn’t stop my camping out though😉
@@cragratoutdoors glad i came across the video and i have hit the subscribe, look foward to seeing what you get up to next.
Thank you - that’s really appreciated!
Looking at the map, that is more remote than Wolfstone Crag - I stand corrected
It might be but the forestry tracks detract from the sense of it! Rough ground beyond that mind👍🏻
Yeah just watching your video mate quite a few years ago we walked that route and I'm 90% sure we passed there (I'm waiting for confirmation on it ) as it's not far from the bomber crash site

You are so down to earth - I really like that. If you want company in the Forest of Bowland we can swap contact details. I suspect we'd get on 🙂
Indeed - dm me on instagram-
Another cracking video and hike mate
Cheers mate- always appreciated 👊🏻
