  • Following my unsuccessful attempt to complete the Lyke Wake Walk last year I make a fresh attempt to complete it with a solo and unsupported 42 mile crossing but rather than do it within 24 hours I decided to turn it into a wildcamping adventure.

Thank you! I hope you have a dry crossing or at least as dry as can be! I’ll do it again next year but my plan is to go east to west

Thanks for taking me along. Many changes from when I last did it. A coffee shop, paved areas and no golf ball at Fylingdales. It was a lot busier every time I did it, great craic at support stops with other crews.

My pleasure! I think it’s a lot less popular these days with so much else available . Love hearing stories of evenyone’s crossing though. Good times 👍🏻

Another really good video, Jason. God’s own country. I love the north York moors. My grandad was a railway man at York and had use of a railway cottage at Grosmont through York RI. Still remember going up there as a toddler in the late 60’s. I have not been on YT much of late due to work (and sacked Fb and instagram off too) but enjoy your content and am catching up with it. Please keep the videos coming and sorry for the loss of your dad. Best wishes as always, John. (Johnny Stramash Keto150)

Thank you Johnny - the Moors is a fantastic area. Great childhood memories for you. If you fancy a walk this way let me know Don’t blame you for the digital detox either!

Yup digital detox!😁 and deffo up for walking later in summer. Recently did a 20 miler around York and also the Harrogate Ringway, which is similar distance. Yorkshire has an abundance of riches.👍🙂

Third time lucky - well persevered!
I did it MANY years ago as a charity event for Springfield School in Starbeck.
We left Harrogate at midnight on Friday 13th and the walk itself took us 18.5 hours. I could hardly move on the final leg.
It wasn’t anywhere near as boggy as your trip back then though.
Congrats from a fellow Dirger ⚰️
