I wasn’t too hot on Ahsoka either personally so I’m not attached as much to this set, I do like the figures though so it’s a clearance purchase for me. Continuing to raise the prices though will probably lead me away back to other hobbies which is what happened when I was in high school.

It’s possible because I can’t count how many set’s I’ve seen people say they refuse to buy it at launch and instead wait for sale price, and that’s me entirely too. Last time I paid full price for a Star Wars set was years ago now.

@@RayLilySeries I admittedly bought the UCS Razor Crest from Lego directly only because you get all the extras with it and I had a bunch of VIP points (now Insiders) to spend along with it. But in the end, I actually regret it. Not for the Set, because it is absolutely phenomenal, but I could have saved a lot by waiting some more.

That’s how they get you. I’ve bought directly from them recently using VIP points because I too want those sweet bonus items.

Yeah if I knew back in March the extent these would go to with the figures and prices and actually turns out the stock is still around, I probably would have waited it out or skipped over.

It’s really taken 6 months to get the replacement piece? That sucks. I bought that Mos Eisley a couple of years ago for my birthday and it’s just excellent. Would like to see something Bespin related in the near future.

@@RayLilySeriesyes but no. i procrastinated so really it took me 6 months to finish what i can and then order the missing part. i had to dive into later bags jut to find the parts i was looking for (i think it was 5 bags ahead last i counted). the missing pieces themselves when i requested the parts lego said it would take about a week or so to arrive

We the fans keep paying the prices so they’re only going to increase from here really. Desirable figures and all that, leaves us worried on missing out.

The best thing to do is not buy it if you don't think the value isn't there. If you keep following the pricepoint, they will increase it until sales start to fall off.

That’s my exact issue with the Star Destroyer. Granted I personally don’t actually own a ship of that design so this was actually really appealing to me, but the price is huge. Usually a ship to that scale (Ghost, Falcon, Gunship) sort of thing is around $280-300nzd max. $330 is a pretty big leap for me, but I adore the Respawn Jedi games and I’ve asked for a Cal figure for years. Each year LEGO feels more and more unreachable for the casual enjoyer. Something I don’t personally think creators talk about enough.

Australia and NZ prices are always absurd these days. I really want to know what about us makes LEGO add an extra $20-30 sometimes compared to the US price once converted

Not this set specifically at this point in time, but sets like the R2-D2 and I believe the upcoming Star Destroyer are more expensive in Australia and New Zealand currencies compared to the US price tag once converted. A handful of sets though are surprisingly cheaper in Australia and New Zealand, most recently the X-Men 97 Jet was cheaper by around $20-30 for us compared to the US prices for reasons I’m not sure on.

Since playing through the LEGO Skywalker Saga game, I’ve wanted something really substantial for that area. One of my favourite locations in Star Wars.

Awesome picks. Everything listed is something that also appeals to me so I’d be picking these up day one.

It’s disappointing how little playsets from the sequels we have. I really like those worlds so having the Casino, Resistance Base, Exegol or any of the First Order bases as a playset would be great. Love the Scarif one released after Rogue One.

@@RayLilySeries I agree! It's unfortunate that they haven't been making more because of influencers harassing the staff for 'what they want'. Every ordinary person who loves the different films deserves a chance to get something. I hope we get some sets similar to the Yavin Base, for Maz's Castle or the Resistance Base with a miniature X-Wing or A-Wing, Starkiller Base with a miniature TIE Fighter, Snoke's Super Star Destroyer with a Miniature Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer, Crait with a miniature Ski Speeder, the Death Star Ruins with the Water Skimmer, and the Exegol Sith Fortress with TIE Daggers.

Oh man, I really wanted the one with Luminara and Quinlan Vos for the obvious minifigure inclusions but missed that at release and like the other Clone Turbo Tanks, it’s very high in aftermarket prices now.

I wish we would see a remake of the full fleet of Prequels/Clone Wars era vehicles. I missed all of them so a V-19 Torrent and an ARC-170 starfighter would be my picks as well as a proper Gunship.

I really like the modern Star Wars we’ve had since Disney acquired the license and started with Rebels (2014). I think the movies line were just too recent for people to want more sets again. People who were kids when Force Awakens came out though are heading into their teens, I’m imagining Disney and LEGO will look into sets for those movies in the future then.

@@RayLilySeriesas someone who is now a teen and was 8 when the force awakens released I still prefer the original trilogy and vastly prefer the prequels as they were the first ones I saw when I was pretty young. I think a lot of teens who grew up with the sequels also grew up with the earlier films.

I’m closer to the prequels too. Revenge of the Sith was the first Star Wars I saw in cinemas so the sequels released during my teen years. Mostly fond of the Clone Wars era of toys, peak Star Wars merchandising for me.

I can’t believe I forgot about this. My privilege of actually owning that original set + the latest remake of the Ghost just had Zeb fly over my head. Yes, 1000% we should have a new Zeb figure. Especially since we had the Sabine and Hera and Chopper remake, a set with Zeb + Kanan and Ezra from the later seasons would be perfect.

As mentioned all throughout this comment thread, it’s likely that the success of sets like this could lead to a wave later down the line with affordable sets for the masses. I would hope Lord of the Rings would follow the same pattern that the Harry Potter line has gone through these past 6 years

It’s got a few features! Large group of figures, reminds me of an old action figure playset. But I am in the minority on this lol.

To me it feels like an old Kenner playset from the 80s so I’m really looking forward to it.

From my experience I think Minifigures help sell the idea of quantity and quality. You may sometimes find sets with the same amount of figures in two different sets, but both sets have different prices and piece counts. For some people the idea of spending $ on a set with less figures is less value than the one with the most figures. I’m fascinated too why we hold so much weight on the minifigures inclusion even if I myself am guilty of letting the minifigures sway my purchases one way or another. I think it’s partly due to the rarity of inclusions now. Back when LEGO started doing licensed sets you used to get re-releases of the main characters across all sets. Nowadays it’s more likely LEGO will hold a figure for an exclusive because it will increase the desire. The value of figures also effects the price in aftermarket’s because sets like the Scooby Doo line or the Ninja Turtles sets will be expensive later down the line exclusively because they had a desirable figure included. So this pushes the idea that you need to buy these sets now, because if you miss it later, you’ll have to pay someone a lot more. I’m sure everyone has their own unique perspective on why the minifigure is so important to them. I’m always eager to learn.

The prices for these now are crazy. Thankful I was right onto it a decade ago in getting these.

I think most people felt that way about the Hobbit line, which would make sense for why there were less sets released for the sequels. I personally like the Unexpected Journey line as much as the regular Lord of the Rings line but I ended up skipping most of the Hobbit sets for the second and third movie. Earthquake damage thankfully on my side of things just amounted to damaged goods that good could repaired. A lot of damaged happened to this city including people losing members of their family so I’m forever thankful to not have had to experience what those Kiwi’s went through.

I would certainly love a Soul Caliber Lego series. Maybe not as minifigures but as larger models, in the scale of the current Marvel Mechs.

Man ideally! There’s an argument to be made about adult licenses like God of War or Bloodborne but I think Sony and LEGO would both pair up for the family friendly mascots. Fine by me though, I grew up with those characters.

Be curious to see how it all plays out because I enjoy the games for the most part, I just never fully connected to the world and characters as much as I wanted to. LEGO sets sound great to me though regardless.
