- Today I cover the news of a new LEGO Batman The Animated Series set based on the Batmobile. Titled the insane name of LEGO Batman the Animated Series Batmobile vs Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze (76274), this set is the first time we're seeing the famous car in the style of the favoured Animated Series.
Problem being that price and colours. This set should be perfect but alas, I have issues.

Yeah actually the other toy merchandise uses lots of blues. Slightly different shade and I wish this matched the darker tone
I just started watching this series. I'm just at episode 4 of the first season. But that Batmobile is definitely blue is the series. I don't know if it gets darker later in de seasons but in the first few episodes that car is blue. I think it looks beter in blue to rather than if they made it black.
I’ve heard mixed things. Some people say blue, some say black. I don’t hate the idea of blue, I think its neat but I think this is too much in the direction of objective blue where the show to me at least looks blue due to lighting changes. Maybe a combo of the colours would have been nice instead.
It's a much darker blue if it's blue. However, it often appears black due to lighting, including in the intro. Also worth noting is that Bruce describes it as black in dialogue in one episode.
It’s black. It’s described as black in the show by Batman in the episode “Perchance to Dream.” It appearing as dark blue in the show is an art choice to help differentiate it from the show’s dark lighting and aesthetic.
Bruce literally says "is all black" in the show.

It's a good way to get the tas versionn in a small set. I don't buy huge sts in the 100$s price range much and I'v wanted this Harley for some time. Maby Twoface would have bin better. I hope more of these tas sets come out.
I both like and dislike this. If the Gotham set wasn’t as expensive as it is, I would have more of a problem here. But if say a few years from now we find that LEGO only ever made two Animated Series sets, and no figures of say Bane or Two-Face or Penguin were made and instead two Harley figures, then I’ll be disappointed.

I have wanted a more classic red and black versiion or Harley after all her uther versions recentley and bothe of the Bane and Twoface with his split black and white suit wer made so I'm for this and the Freeze figure is good. I'v bin a bit of an anti lego dc buyer sence they quit almoste everrything but Batman but these tas figures are nice. It could be my first time buying alot of dc in years if we get more of these.

i was hoping they’d make it blue and i’m glad it’s blue. it’s iconic because of the blue highlights from lighting in the show and the og toys from the show had it this deep blue so i’m glad lego went with that instead of black i have enough black batmobiles. Do not yell at me tho i totally get that it’s actually black and for people that are bothered by the blue i understand and respect that. Just wanted to share cause i feel like i’m in the minority
I’ve seen a few people share this sentiment. Those early 2000s toys really showcased the blue colouring in design. I think blue is cool but this shade is too bright for me? Wish it was a darker navy like blue or something.

Batmobiles are always black, they're becoming to get a bit bland and boring. Im glad this batmobile is the color it is

Batman also canonically referred to the vehicle as black, sooo…. L from Lego. Which sucks, considering the shaping is great.

@@Tarriq paying homage sure… to toys that were inaccurate to begin with. I would be fine if it was say, navy blue. But due to both the inaccuracy and my personal aesthetic taste I have issues with it being this shade of blue.
