    We make use of former tin mines for lake gardens. Used to be the world's no 1 tin mining nation. The largest open cast mine is at mines resort mall. So deep, when i was a child, the trucks moving below is the size of model cars hotwheels. The tunnel mine is at sungei lembing (the world's largest underground tin mine)

    Some sad history that I hv to acknowledge, Those lake & caves (abandoned mines) coz all the type-C miners ancestors (at industrial level skill sets) are being kick out by my own type & being done "bad" (against woman😭) by iapanese KEMPETAI & local collaborators especially all in perak...😊...except some, who are "protected" by Selangor Royals under "Royal Pewter" & certain type-C business class (proxies of "Dp state") in Klang valley.....😊....only NIHAO PRIVIET Salam from Selangor 🤘

    Nasik Kandar, but without the rice serving, sure aint no Nasik Kandar (technically). Coz part of the Nasik Kandar mystique is the rice's aroma from being kept in the wooden container and some banana leaves underlay. So...in essence...what you actually like can be called Mamak-style cuisines - chicken/beef curry, fried cabbage/okra, etc. See, the difference is that when people mention Nasik Kandar, most have images of lumpy white rice, being poured on top with different sorts of curries, and finishing off with meats & veggies of their preferences.

    That big black building is where Taylor lives (Andrew Taylor on TH-cam). I think it's called M City. Don't film near the US Embassy. Security chased me away when I tried to take a picture.😂 Jalan Ampang is the street that runs in front of the Petronas Towers. "Partly cloudy with a chance of showers" is almost always correct. You really need to fix that stomach of yours. So much good food in Malaysia other than Nasi Kandar.😂

    Ben, that neighbourhood is not the Beverly Hills of KL. There are quite a few nice neighbourhoods in KL, one of them would be the front part (the part closer to KLCC/city centre) of where you filmed this, ie, on Jalan U-Thant where all the residences for the rich and ambassadors are, eg, America, Canada, Japan etc. In fact, @9.55…. You were walking away from the more affluent area….. The other nice neighbourhoods of KL, Bukit Tunku, city centre around KLCC/Pavilion, Bangsar, Damansara Heights.

    Honestly with your videos, I enjoyed just listening to your talk without keeping my eyes to the screen, keep it up Ben! However to make your contents more sustainable, I think you might want to start thinking of introducing the places rather than focus on your own, and maybe focus on foods as well? Just my thought, I'm not sure when your own stories run out. 🙂

  • @ivankjt
    @ivankjt 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Those are embassies mixed in with homes in the area. This isn't very common - it's only a thing because I believe the area of Ampang Hilir you're walking around is zoned for residential AND commercial, hence why you see some "shop homes" being run as well. The ones with no embassy signage are homes, and the ones that say villa could be a rental or just a private home (some rich folks just like "naming" their homes). The police boxes contain a book where the police who patrolled the area/check in on the homes would log their visits. This is more common in affluent areas, and each home with a police box out front would have to pay a monthly fee to the respective local police station in the area for such privileges.

    Many Malaysians do not have the luxury USD, they are struggling just like many other people around world. If I USD was 1 to 1 how great will your life be is life in Malaysia? I have seen you tell the poor beggers in Malaysia that you have no money and go down the street to eat three meals at one setting! I even sent you $50 when you needed money, never again will I make that same mistake. As you keep saying "I can not".

    • @benfishermin
      @benfishermin 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Well I don't work an American job making US dollars, I'm just putting in the work online to make money. To be fair, Malaysians can also do TH-cam just like I am and many of them who do commit to it end up making a really nice amount of money. Those poor beggars are foreign immigrants, who majority of the time are part of illegal begging/peddling operations. Those people often do not even get the money but they have a handler or boss to takes the money. It's not about helping someone in need at that point. I really appreciate that you helped me out at a time where it was much needed. I'm not really sure what you mean about 3 meals in one sitting exactly, I have a daily food budget, and I'm not able to eat rice.

    Kenny Hills is the Beverly Hills of KL, exclusive. Ampang Hilir is not the highest. It is a more diplomatic area. The lake is near to Andrew Taylor, an expat American, retired & living in KL. Some of the tin roofed homes are part of old villages that have been swallowed by development.

    Sungai Golok is a bigger town and cleaner than it's Malaysian counterpart, Rantau Panjang bcuz it used to attract a lot of tourists. It has entertainment spots, a lot of bars and discos and a flourishing flesh trade which attracts visitors from as far as KL up to Spore. But business has been slow after Covid 19. Malaysians which keep the town alive has also stop visiting, esp. People from Kelantan which border the sub district as the Malaysian ringgit has dropped to 70 to 80 baht compared to 100 baht previously. That's why you see many shops closed as Malaysians are not coming to shop...

    I think, ,you got it right, the point of English language are the main reason malaysian can watch your video. Aside of singapore, its malaysia and i think probably Philipine too , English are widely spoken. Indonesia and thai wasnt speak much english. The other fact is, although singapore and philipine english languange widely use, the internet penetration in philipine wasnt as large as malaysia, and singapore maybe just too small or people just too busy working making money day and night lol. Meanwhile, Malaysian just have plenty of free time and relax and sitback. Keep it up. Explore malaysia more and more. We love people making video about us, about our county as well, and we dont care what people say malaysian is too easy or whatever, because in the end, someday maybe there is trillions video content about malaysia which later be as a good advertising and marketing for malaysia too which later translate to more tourist come here toooooo. Good give and take what. lmao. ☺

    Ampang Hilir is quite old, I’d say maybe as old as parts of LA. When I lived there it had a more 70s suburbs feel. Most embassies are in Ampang proper, the US and UK for example. Try thinking of KL as one huge strip mall, the small random shops make more sense then.
