Macroscum can keeping kissing my tiny shiny hiney. I ditched Winblows ages ago. I only buy from Linux friendly companies and I strongly suggest everyone boycotts Macroscum.
I made and offer of $36 on a m710q. Seller took it and like you I have tons of old hardware and components squirreled away so I had a 65w Thinkpad charger laying around that worked perfect. Plan on setting it up as a Jellyfin server.

I have that exact same pc and use it for batocera emulation gaming. Upgrade the cpu to an i7-6700T. You can play basic 2d ps3 games like contra hard corps, sf4. Also plays basic 2d switch games too. Its a portable gaming device. I installed batocera on the ssd & have a 2gb hdd for the roms
@LowcastleTech You should pair this PC with a Matrox C690. And then test the emulation performance. I think you will like what you see.
1. Never use generic power adapter. Never. it will burn your machine 2. Its better to get 715q gen2 or m720q, at least m710q. M715q gen2 support 2200g that have better than hd530 graphics. 720q support uhd630 graphics and have less noise level

$40 is amazing for something so functional. I got some HP Elitedesk mini pcs that are this size but about $100 more. The Ryzen 5 Pro cpu inside has decent integrated graphics but maybe overkill for what I need 😂 I might have to get some of these for the "Raspberry pi" type jobs I was going to use the HPs for. (Granted, the price I paid for the HPs also included 16gb ram and 256gb m.2 ssd and the power brick, so I didn't have to buy those separate)
