    Wow.... thank you for the shout outs. I'm humbled to help out in any way I can. One note about the Inner/Outer/Inner wall ordering - I don't think it comes into play when you use vase mode with 1 continuous wall. If I gave you the impression that it does then I apologize. In my limited experience I see it really come into play when you have 3 or more walls. With 3 walls where you have Outer | Middle-Inner | Inner-Inner, Bambu Studio first prints Inner-Inner wall which is good because if there is any excess build up in the filament it gets deposited where you will never see it. Then the Outer wall is printed (which leaves a gap for the Middle-Inner) which helps ensure uniform outer wall layer lines as it is not being pushed/bulged out. Then finally the Middle-Inner is printed which fills in the gap between the two. Interestingly if you have 2 walls, Inner/Outer/Inner does the Outer wall first and then the Inner wall, which is the opposite of the default of Inner/Outer which does Inner and then Outer walls. Again sorry if I misled you on what that wall ordering does on a vase mode, but again thank you for the shout outs. 🙂

    Hey Len, is there any chance you could help me tune ninjatek chinchilla filament for the x1c? Right now it's a 50% fail rate and just stops extruding. I flush it with a bit of 95a tpu and it's good to go again. And have a bit of stringing. Other than that the surfaces are nice and smooth good quality. Thank you in advance if you or any other members could help me to figure these issues out.

      @lendizzle77 Yes, it's nice and dry. I've done a few retraction calibration tests that have got rid of the stringing. And temperature tower. Now trying some pressure advance test. If after all that it still struggles I will switch from 0.4 to 0.6 nozzle. I'll post my results for future reference in case anyone else wants to print with this filament. Also what email do we send prints to? I have a few I'd like to share.

    Your theory on the aluminum sides holding more heat does not make sense in a physics sense. Aluminum is one of the best conductive materials we have. As such it will dissipate heat way faster than plastic. This is why heatsinks are made of aluminum. The X1C probably has different bed heaters than the lower cost p1p / p1s. From my research the differences in the X1C over the P1S are Lidar, door sensor, hardened extruder and nozzles, Control interface (color touch vs basic display), and I just learned from your video the bed heaters. That said the p1s can still print fiber filament IF you upgrade the extruder and nozzle to hardened steel. Though the lower temp bed may make the prints more difficult. Thank you for the video.

    • @lendizzle77
      @lendizzle77 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Trust me, I know all about aluminum and how it dissipates heat. The point I was trying to make is the enclosure being made of metal is better for heat retention than plastic. I was not stating aluminum is the greatest heat retention material ever made.

    I don't even use bamboo studio. Unless I'm doing something for someone else I find bamboo studio a piece of crap. I use a derivation of cura for slicing. Then I put the modified G-Code on a card and run it from there. The camera is useless. The firmware is crap. You get your acceleration and deceleration of the hot end from the code generated from bamboo studio unlike klipper which modifies the code on the fly. The only thing I really do appreciate is the electrical connectors. They sometimes flake out and give you erroneous codes but unlike the k-max they're pretty sturdy and not going to fall apart after connecting them a few times.

    I swear by AquaNet...so cheap and works so well, but I have the Sliceworx Flex Dipped plates that everything stick too with out needing any adhesive at all

    There was a filament update available for Bambu Studio 1.8.4.51 this morning that added the PA-GF, ABS-GF, plus a few more new filaments.

    I liked the Bambu Studio until I saw Orca Slicer's measuring tool. Game changer if you're someone who resizes things and want to check sizes.
