I got the A1 mini recently. Great printer! With AMS it does take a lot of space, but there are lots of mods to print if you want (wall mount, vesa mount, ikea box, etc.) The small size, limited materials and how much it poops bothers me a little, but no other printer has the same quality for the price.
Wow, what a deal a four-color printer for $400. And as you pointed out, it might be a little small but like for you I have a lot of small parts to print too. One thing I find interesting is that the information says it will print TPU. For me that is a pretty big deal, not having to fuss with the external spools and most of my TPU needs are for small items. I am looking forward to seeing more on this little guy. Really do appreciate this review, thank you.
Great Video! ... I'm looking to get a Bambu Labs A1 printer but have a dilemma. Should I get the A1 standalone unit or the A1 Mini with the AMS lite. While the A1 has a bigger print bed, the A1 mini combo comes with a AMS lite for color prints. This will be my first 3D printer and I am completely new to this. Any advice on which printer is best for beginners, and which is better, a bigger print bed or the ability to print in color?
I just got the a1 mini without the ams a few days ago, and sometimes it’s quite annoying when the print bed is small. Especially a lot of print files on the app is not capable to print on a1 mini because of the size. So you have to adjust the size before the print , and it is annoying
@@cheizaguirre5494 Do not have A1 or A1 mini (just got an X1C as do lots of printing with ABS/ASA and want to do more with PC and Nylon). Did a quick search and looks like cardboard spools are good with the AMS Lite since the spool is held by the center hole and not riding on rollers like the larger AMS unit.

Quick question, why did it print a purge tower? thought it only did that when changing colours. great video
I do not have printer but I guess it moves Head to take Picture and make small prime on the tower after that
Last night you mentioned that you put the filament holder on the wall. Looking forward to seeing how you did that if it is possible.
I was thinking the same, why a purge tower?
Can you do a TPU comparison between the mini and X1C? I have had polymaker 90A TPU jam in the X1C extruder.

You will still need to use the external spool for TPU, not recommended to use the AMS Lite for flexible material.

Full size A1 had the recall, not the A1 Mini
@@kellyjordan got it! Thanks. I will get the mini any tips when getting and setting it up? Cardboard spools work with this?

@@cheizaguirre5494great choice if you do not need abs or asa to print
Not being able to print ABS/ASA is a big negative
Perhaps for some. But so far I haven’t needed either. So for me it’s not a negative at all. My Ender SE doesn’t either and I love it. 🤷🏻♂️
