The Usb port on the 600 is it a USB A?

When i start a track, the track syncs to rhythm. But when i switch to next track, the second track is out of sync with rythm. All my tracks have sync switch on. Whether i am on immediate or measure sync mode, the track does not sync to rhythm after switching to second track. Any insights?

Hey Ross - I hope all is well! I wondered if you knew if there was a way to control the Boss 600 with another controller (if you wanted to control it on the other side of the stage)? Couldn't find anything online about it - thanks a lot for all your helpful advice!

It would be great if you can put synth sounds in rc 600. There has to be a folder in rc 600 where you can copy the synth sound file, like the existing drum sounds.

Hi, I've got a question: I use microphone 1 and a specific reverb and delay as fx and have it all go through the headphone output (which my band uses for the full in ear mix). Is it possible to send out the fx without the dry signal to another output as well? I'm using a splitter before going into the Roland RC600 so the soundengineer has the dry vocal but I want to send him the applied fx so he can blend it in while still hearing the dry vocal through the headphone output.

I have a question. I use Touch OSC with Widi Master wireless midi into my ipad to control the RC600 on the fly. The issue I have is with an assign for "cur.trk num". I want 6 buttons on my OSC screen 1-6 so i can make any of the trks the current trk easily. This reduces the number of assigns I need to use overall . I just can't get it to work. I have tried various different value formats in the "scale" fields in Touch OSC but to no avail. (Midi channel and cc controller number constant). Do you have any thoughts?

Can you make a pad with horizontal cases so I can put the name of a song in the case. I want to send midi commands to Boss GT1000 core and Boss RC10-R in the same action. I want also to be able to launch an application that show my guitar tab. Is it possible ?

Thanks Ross, this is realy a very good description of how to set up this versitile device. I`ve already started to custumize it. The problem is that I didn`t follow your instruction to first update the firmware because I thought , as I just bought it brandnew that the latest firmware would be already running. But now I found out that there is a later one available (1.4). So my question is: will there be all the new settings I`ve done (such as putting all 6 loopfunctions on the first mode and the FXs on the second ) be erased ? A few other questions came up such as, if it is possible to have acces to more that one FX-Bank at one time the Inputs (using InFX on Bank A for guitars and InFxs on Bank B for Vocals at the same time, when looping guitar and vocals at the same time for instance ) and is it possible to store certain settings like those mode settings or effekt settings ? And is there a possibility to lock certain memorys so I don`t change or erase them by accident ? Maybe you have answered all those questions in a few of your tutorials but so far I couldn`find an answer to those. Thanks in advance for your patience responding to my issues

No one ever talks about the “AC mains” power supply. When you are connecting with the “AC cioks module” for the temple board it comes with Mickey Mouse connection that are not compatible? What’s the solution ? ( after spending $50 )

Does it not kill you there's NO TUNER on this thing?! Not even about the money I had to buy a Boss TU-3 pedal and I hate the hassle of the dongle setup so much I don't tune. Like how could they build something that does everything but tune? Maybe if enough people ask Boss to include a tuner in a future update they'll finally listen?

Shout out to the total boss Moose Taylor that apparently wrote this all as a single dev, and supports it actively on Mac and Windows and Mac's new architecture. Absolute madlad.

I think you ought to set your tracks to loop rec>stop, instead of rec>play...single mode.

This is also useful, not necessarily in single mode, when using an external MIDI controller to trigger the drums. Thanks a lot!

Hi Ross, this is a strange one I use the 600 like this and I wanted to reduce my board by using the 600 insert FX and take the GT1 off the board. Now as soon as I take anything off Main L out it kills the FX they are not heard. I put Insert FX to my guitar track only, set them up to switch on and off great, then this killed it. If I sacrifice the output I hear the FX if I use it they don’t sound. so it’s really 5 mono out instead of 6 and I need the 6 so this is driving me nuts. Have you come across this or heard of it I’m on V1.4.
