Impressive board! 👍
THANKS
Well I ordered them through your link, Dec 1. They took my money and sent me a confirmation but no joy on trying to find out when they will get here. If they are coming through the Canada postal I’m screwed. They’re on strike. Guess I will email them. Again.
I haven't received my RC 600 yet. But, watching your videos have given me a pretty good understanding of how I'll integrate this thing into my music. How about using the drum feature (Question: are they acoustic, real sounding drums or are they obviously digital? Also can you do drum fills?)😎 I really am enjoying your videos you provide very clear explanations to the many features this unit has.
GREAT video and super well done. Thank you from Atlanta Georgia USA....I'm an old rc300 user and got the rc600....scratchin' my thinning hair head trying to figure these modes and applications out! It was a simple process to add effects on the 300 and it seemed like all the effects were being illusive here, then there's the "add to input" add to track" and BAM you just turned on the light for me....thanks! All the best to you Ross!
Thanks!
That's very kind of you. Thanks so much for your support. I hope you find the other content on the channel useful, too! Cheers, Ross
Santa Claus is bringing me one for Christmas. This is a great video for us vintage guitar players that are a little less than tech savvy. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Cheers!!! 😎 T
sounds good ..how are channel 5/6 different from the others....( mic capabilities..stereo etc).. for acoustic drums vids thanks
wonderful tutorial
Very useful video thank you! Quick Q: my input effect is only audible after the loop has been recorded. I can’t hear the effect while playing. How to fix this please? Thank you
I can't get it to record :( The pads are working fine but whatever I do on my midi controller doesn't record. If I just play the rhythm that will record on the loop, but not anything I do from my midi controller pads. I changed the routing to Loop but still it's not recording. Any ideas?
Totally lost after 2 minutes….
One more vote to encourage you to make the M1 video! 😉
It's top of the list! I'm hoping to get it done before Christmas, so keep your eyes peeled!
Good info !
That was 1000% what I needed to understand and hear. SO meticulous; exceptionally valuable. Thank you!!

@cdsongvideos5471 you're very welcome. Glad you've found it useful!
its perfect,thank you mate
You're welcome!
Hi.. after switching Stereo Link off everywhere, i've set my OUTPUT: ROUTING IN/RYTHM on MAIN-R OUT and both MICs are OFF but I still can hear the sound of the mic coming out of the MAIN-R OUTPUT. Do you know how that Is possibile?
In regard to assigning your input fx increase and decrease...By that do you mean it increases or decreases the amount of each effect or add each additional effect and/or take each seperate effect away in turn? I hope my question is not too confusing.
Dear Ross, My questions: In loop/track/last page rhythm parameter doesn't takes effect. Output/routing/input/rhytm last page rhytm out value: loop does enables recording on track but the previous parameter still doesn't take effect... Menu/output/masterfx reverb doesn't work. It doesn't take any effect on the main output. Why? Thanks for your answer. Dénes from Hungary Thanks for 5:45
Hi Ross, I hope you're rocking. Pardon me, I have searched everywhere; you might know. Do you have any idea how to set a stopped loop to start again at the start of the next cycle/loop when hitting play on that track? I know in track settings are set to immediate or fade. Fade seems ok ...
Brilliant once again mate. Big cheers
grate voice brother
Thanks man! That means a lot.
You didn't fulfill the promise you made at 28:59
@@BrankyMusic you are spot on with that observation! It totally slipped my mind at the time, but I have since made videos going over the subject, so feel free to check those out!
@@RossGallagherMusic Thank you but I watched that video but still I can't figure this out: can I configure one of the pedals as an on/off for vocal harmonies? and, can I set a certain Key for that song and will harmonies work?
Hello brother, i purchased this editor. And it very helpful! Thank you. My next wish is you make ipad version. Or do you know if there is a way to import file from the ipad to my rc 600 ?
Thanks, besides the shaky camera work your videos have been very helpful switching over from the Headrush Looperboard to the RC600.
@@gerimayawhyte154 I can’t get my head around the 600 and I am thinking of going to the headrush! Why are you swapping to the 600?
@tronlady1 I have switched. I still am in the process of setting it up. The reason I switched was simple. It was the ability to customize all of the switches. You're very limited in how you can modify the switches with the Headrush Looperboard. I think that they came out with a firmware update that allows you to modify a few switches but it's really not anywhere as flexible as the RC 600. You can modify all 9 with the RC 600 so you can essentially change the bottom 6 switches into individual loopers which gives you 6 looping tracks instead of 4. You can also mix and match what kind of loop mode you want to do with each individual switch/track which you can't with the Headrush. If you want one track in sync mode and one in free mode you can't do that you're bound by making the changes to all 4 switches. Headrush has really distanced themselves away from the Looperboard and it seems for all appearance sake beyond them formally announcing that it's being discontinued. It's kind of like an open secret in the community at this point. There's no engagement with the community at all on the company's Facebook group page and it appears that their focus is on their Prime board and their Sheeran X and + boards. I really wanted a few more tracks but all of those reasons and the smaller footprint really factored in my decision. There are pretty busy and successful looping artists out there still grinding it out there with the Headrush. Also there are so many more tutorials on TH-cam for the RC 600.
@@gerimayawhyte154 thankyou so much for this very informative reply! I’ll stick with the 600
@@tronlady1Sure no problem. I'm a bit nervous as I have my first gig with it tomorrow. I have hardly any time to practice and get familiar with it due to a personal situation at home that has required all hands on deck. Gonna just have to plug through it and give it my A game. Hopefully muscle memory will be in my favor. A long gig also at four hours.
@ wow. Good luck 🤞 ……how come such a looooooong gig?
can I record different tempo to loop?
My goodness. I must be getting old. I need a few cups of coffee to get through this. It's very informative. It just seems a bid overwhelming.
Can you use this with multiple players so that different instruments dont interfere each other while making loops? So if everyone are playing and one want to make a loop for single instrument. Then everyone can make a loop on their turn...
Gracias
I hope he shows how to change the circle light to blue in standby. Mine is a blinding white. And trying to program it. And learn it as a newbe. And the bright light in my eyes is killing me
Thank you so much for your tutorial and compliments. However, I would like to ask you for further information: Is there a way to ask the loop station to isolate an input signal during a loop? let me explain. let's say I connected my microphone and my guitar to the loop station. if I start a recording in which I'm playing and singing, at the end of the loop, the rc 600 will reproduce both the voice and the guitar. Here. Is there a way to set a track so that, even though I'm both playing and singing, the machine records for example only the microphone, excluding the guitar from the loop? Thanks a lot
were you able to program the MIDI Captain usinig the M1? Or did you have to go into "Supermode" and edit the text files to program it? I own the MIDI Captain and editing the functionality of the switches, changing the colors etc is cumbersome.
Is it possible to route vocals to one out put without fx, and another output with fx?
You've got some options here; FX are applied to each input e.g FX A (Reverb) to Mic 1 etc. Because of this, you then wouldn't be able to record using Input FX and then remove the FX afterwards. You could of course use Track FX which can be turned on/off and separated for each track and each output. You could also use 2 mics, 1 with FX and one without. Perhaps you could also use an XLR splitter so that you could run this with one mic, and then plug into both mic inputs, one for FX and one for a dry signal.
Do you sit or stand to play? I've been using them for a few weeks now and still getting lots of miss hits cause I stand to play and seem to come down on them from too directly on top rather than rolling my foot onto them like I would if I was sitting down. I'm sure I'll get used to them, but definitely an adjustment.
Great question; I do both, but my acoustic set is a lot more of a lounge feel, so I do tend to sit on my cajon and play more than I stand. However, when I do stand, I still haven't experienced any issues with these toppers. Is your RC-600 on the floor when you play? Mine is mounted on my pedalboard, which is raised slightly off the ground. Because the angle is slightly different when the RC is a little higher, this might help? Maybe other users can post here if they have experienced similar issues to you.
Thank you man, this was super helpful. I loop kick and snare drum with hitting the guitar strings like Ed Sheeran does and I was running into issues of it causing my amp to clip. Doing this and being able to split microphone loops and guitar loops into separate channels fixed the issue and I was super worried something was wrong with my amp or my RC600. Long story short you saved me a ton of money and headache so definitely worth a like and subscribe.
@coreytravisbean ahhh, top man! Glad it's helped you out, and I appreciate you checking out the channel and subscribing. I hope you find the other content useful too. Cheers, Ross
Hi Ross. what part of the UK are you based, hope gigs are going well. ? . got the Boss rc 505 (exact same brain as the 600), to a Bose mixer and system, Taylor 400 series and SM58 mic. Im setting up the looper with the mixer for the first time. I worked really hard to get the instruments perfect on the mixer initially. Question please - What would be the first setting to check on the looper to ensure it's EQ is "flat" (no setting) before sending to the mixer which has set EQ's. or do you think I am going about this the wrong way? thanks for any help .either way i got ya coffee. great vids.
i configured everything to go to separate channels for the separate mixer as in you video of "Send 6 INSTRUMENTS to 6 SEPARATE OUTPUTS via 6 INDIVIDUAL TRACKS"
Ahh, that's really kind of you man. I really do appreciate that, and I hope you're getting value from the content. I'm based up in the North West, originally from Manchester but I live in Warrington these days. How about yourself? Regards to your question, is there anyway for you to bypass the EQ on the Bose mixer, or perhaps run into a different speaker system to check things? The EQ coming out of the RC should be as flat as possible, provided you haven't changed anything, but it will also be determined by your EQ being flat from the source, I.e your Taylor, and anything else you have in your chain that could affect the overall tone.
@@RossGallagherMusic much appreciate it. gonna refine everything first (i did over simplify my side) and will hopefully get onto your ideas and do some sharing with ya.

Super cool, Im using the synido pads for my drums.
Brilliantly put together 👌 well done & thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool video man, thanks for this. Really like the way these work.. will be interesting to see how you get on with them. Have they given any indication as to how long the adhesive should stick? Some are sensitive to temperature, losing adhesion if either too how or cold. Hope you’re well!
They've been on for a few months now, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever. I'm not too sure how long the adhesive will last, but if you get some and do have any issues, I'm sure Stadium-Music would be happy to help out if they can. Cheers, Ross

What is the point of having these on footswitches? It looks to be less precise than bare switch. The print quality... :/
For me, having a larger surface area was the main reason. Definitely worth the investment for anyone looking at adding quality toppers to their RC.
Interested in these pedal toppers? Check them out here www.stadium-music.com/ross They are definitely worth the investment, in my opinion!

Where did you get the track button covers? I’ve got no covers at all on my recently purchased RC-600 and the covers in this video look very functional.

Can't they make the display even more smaller, please to make sure that nobody can read it?!

On the RC300 I only use the bass effect. When you press the effects button, the bass effect will then switch on immediately for recording on any track (very easy to quickly record a baseline). Is it possible to create this same scenario on the rc600 except assign 1 button for bass and maybe another for harmonies? My thoughts are to use "Track select" button for the bass effect and "undo/redo" button for harmony effect. Is this possible? Just to clarify, i want it so that pressing say, button 8 alone starts the effect immediately? I’m asking if I’d be able to activate it without needing to press and hold the FX button before hand. Hope that makes sense!
