i only just got this in my recommended but i havent played alyx in years because i cant run it on my pc but on my brothers, and he moved out a while ago. watching this gave me like a silly amount of nostalgia for how excited we were to experience the ending together, thanks for the great vid boss

I know its been 4 years. This is AWEOSME. The only small lore bits (From an Autistic whos Obsessive of these games) BMRF Was founded in the 50s, its not entirely known if they were built initally by a unrealated company or by the US. But what IS known. Is that the BMRF isnt just government FUNDED, its Government OWNED/Is a FEDERAL building. This can be Seen by the fact in OG HL you can spot the Federal Seals on man Lobbies. And this is only possible if you are a Federal Related Building. I also Headcanon that BM started research into TP during the Early 60's as thats around the same time Aperture Did it, which Narratively ties the two times together. And I figure that when Xen Was Accidentally discorvered, it was done in in 67 or 68 with Xen being a Priority in 69. Given both ages of Dr. Keller, Rosenberg, and Breen Respectivley would mean that they would be at the "Prime" of their careers at that point via these discoveries

But think about the implications of the continuance of that timeline. Gordon Freeman is no longer an agent of whatever collective the G-Man represents. He is now going up against his former captor as well as the remnants of the Combine. Where could we see this going? Personally, I think going after the Borealis would be something to do early on. Whatever reality bending or universal manipulation or dimensional transcending technology they found would be a really neat mechanic that you know Valve would love to explore. Is fighting the Combine even a priority anymore? Are they solely going after the ethereal shadow organization that G-Man works for ? So many possibilities, I just want to experience more Half-Life.

I hope Valve still uses the Borealis mystery in this new timeline

He was not to squander his investments, and he is definitely made us see about that... mf literally created a wormhole in time and space. my theory is that in order to change the events they need to happen first. Vortigaunts are 4th dimensional beings, they can stop in time and move forward but can't move backwards, and they see all future event as something that already happened GMan is a 5th dimensional being as he can move back, forward and stay still in time (or freeze someone in time), and he has access to the 4th spatial dimension as he can easily step out or move someone to his cool VFX chamber

I know man. I had goosebumps on my first playtrough aswell. Seeing Gman on the railing when Eli is pissed gave a message. We have to be patient i believe in HL3 now more than ever. It can even be locked behind Valve Index 2 and I will stil play it no matter what. Many of us are not here today, but we can hope.

I’ve been making my own half life mod for quite a while, and I’ve always been mildly frustrated by the maps overlapping each other. I’m so glad that others care about making everything continuous as much as I do. This project also just brings together black Mesa for me, and it is so cool to make. Thank you for making this!

this looks fucking incredible, i enjoyed just walking around in gmod maps like rp_bmrf which is a smaller take on black mesa in goldsrc, and i've always been curious to see if anyone is doing something like this, and the fact you aim to add other mods like azure sheep is incredible

As someone who grew up and loved Half-Life, that ending makes me tear up. I cannot wait to see where they go from here

The entire ending had me reminding myself to breathe.

That ending just straight up punches you in the gut, and all you can do is look up with tears in your eyes and a smile on your face and say "Please sir, may I have some more?"
