By the way, I noticed that Gordon seems to speak in sign language.

We figured it was a good compromise... I'm fairly sure that Gordon canonically CAN speak, according to his phone interview with Black Mesa.
We assume he's "selectively mute" due to some kind of pre existing trauma or social skills, maybe even autism or something. And perhaps its solidified by the incident to the point where he CAN'T talk even if his life depended on it. Who knows...
We figure that having Gordon's closest friends knowing sign language would help him feel more secure in his affinity for silence. Also, getting a voice actor for Barney isn't the easiest thing, so signing back casually felt better haha

Yup! Once Black Mesa gets ported to Source 2 I will definitely be able to continue this. I would continue in Source 1 but I got my hands a little too dirty with MesaBox unfortunately
