This is the only reason I won't use the Invisible in the canal hearing aids and that is because I can't actually feel those type of hearing aids in my ear at all. That posed a major problem of them getting damaged by water from showers because I would not notice them in my ears and get right in the shower. I tried some dummy sample Invisible in the canal hearing aids just to see how they would feel in my ears and I felt absolutely nothing in my ears. So I went with the completely in the canal hearing aids. I can physically feel them and won't forget to take them out for showers and before going to bed.

sorry I didn't spell check my comment. I was told I am uinelligible for a BAHA because I have a mild loss in the right good side, who knows, but I would be really happy to hear from anyone who deals with similar circumstances or who knows about SSD and blindness, I consider myself lucky I know many blind people with SSD, well not many several who never had hearing aids or couldn't afford it, ...Cheers from Dan the man in sunny Florida.

very nice, I have single sided deafness since birth, due to y Mom being exposed to rubella. One complication is that I am totally blind, I have used bi cros hearing aids off and on for ten years, sadly I need new ones, why sadly because here in the States insurance won't pay for them, it doesn't make things perfect certainly but can be a great especially in the realm of conversations and so on, no matter how much I use them, though eventually somehow my brain tires out and I have to take them off. It will not allow good localization of sound which a blind person really needs but since my left side cros is totally defunct I only wear the right one now, hope I can figure out a way to get new ones... Love to all and if you have perfect hearing please don't take it for granted though my blindness is a nuisance to say the least if I could get something besides sight it would indeed be perfect bilateral hearing I wonder what it's like, good news is though even before hearing aids Imy right ear did a yomen's work, I'm a musician and I am good at learning languages... this is not tmeant to be a lament about my life, so much asa way to relate experience, whe3n I was a kid (I'm fifty-four) the analogue hearing aids for cros which existed were pretty unhelpful... the new digital ones from fonix which I used since 2012 are much better but I wonder when I figure out how to afford new ones, how they will be... Would love to hear from anyone about their experiences or maybe peope who know more about SSD and especially anyone who has done research on those with total blindness and SSD, very little has been researched as far as I can find. help,

Dirt/ sweat etc on the battery contacts in my Oticon Opn1 aids is the worst culprit for dullness and general poor performance. Seems that it penetrates around the switch unit so it cannot be a good seal. I expect better design for a two thousand quid piece of electronics! I'm assuming that hearing aid spray (or indeed anything wet) should never be poked inside the battery doors, so I use carefully rolled up pieces of clean, dry tissue. The difference in clarity is amazing - a bit like unblocking a mic - but what's the 'professional' way to clean it, please?

Thanks for posting this great video about hearing aids using Bluetooth apps. As a senior with arthritic hands, a dynamic Bluetooth app for me is essential. I purchase a pair of MDHearing Neo XS in the ear canal digital hearing aids to meet my needs. Their website information indicates that these should fulfill my needs. After receipt, I learned that their Neo XS hearing aids DO NOT have a compatible blue tooth app (which makes no sense!). Their behind the ear models are the only ones with a Bluetooth app. This information was not stated anywhere on their website. I had to request an RMA to return them, since these are useless to me. While requesting return of these, I learned that I had to purchase a $20 "NO WORRIES" return kit and pay for return shipping myself. By their return policy, I would face possible loss of my money if they get "lost or damaged". Persons in similar circumstances should be made aware of this brand, since comments are turned off on their website.😖 Thanks... Hal in WV

I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss last year. I got an hearing aid last month but i don’t yet find that it helps. I also have tinnitus that is a struggle and the hearing aid isn’t helping my tinnitus too. Do many people find any kind of relief from tinnitus once they get a cochlear implant?

Thanks for the video. The More was recommended to my 91-year-old Mom. The audiologist did not cover what level 1-2-3 would be best for her - but simply showed her the price difference. While she has an active lifestyle for 91 it is what I would call a quiet one. For her, would there be a real difference in her hearing experience between the different levels.? Or best to save some money and just buy the basic level? Thanks!

I use an iPhone and iPad interchangeably all day long. I have Bluetooth problems when Bluetooth connectivity drops. Some times I find that the left hearing aid pairs with the phone and the right pairs with the iPad concurrently! I just have to switch off Bluetooth on one device so both hearing aids will pair with the device that I want to use. It is a pain in the ass.
