Only just found your channel Emma by Accident and glad i did too.. Most refreshing approach to a sensitive/personall topic to many people.. Here in UK we have a Disability Act which obliges Public Environments to provide AND MAINTAIN such facilities for Users of Hearing Aids. Indeed the hated VAT is not payable on items to be used by them either.. i see below that Phillip Zwick asks a question.. which I too am curious about regarding the Technicalities of Oticon which i also use.. In cinemas/theatres the T Coils simply 'TRANSFORM' the Cinematic experience for me with my NHS Aids and yet I meet people who have paid over £2000 !! who do not have the facility.. A very strange situation..especially as you mentioned 1937!!

Nice explanation. Thanks. I am trying Oticon More 1 aids which I believe have a telecoil. Is it turned on automatically or do I have to do something to make it work?

Always get hearing aids with telecoil, but in truth have never been in a situation which have telecoil available.
Question in a different area...why does Phonak Paradise only have motiin sensors in the rechargeable versions? Why not have it in the 13 and 13T versions? Don't care about tap but the other functions would be great.

Whenever I try to use my telecoil, it never works. I have had hearing aids for over ten years and have never once used it anywhere. I attended a stadium that advertised it, and it just wouldn't connect. I could understand only 5% of the speech. It was disappointing, to say the least.

telecoils are obsolete. too expensive and too hard to retrofit into buildings. the new world standard will be a new inexpensive technology called "AuToMo". It connects hearing aids directly to mobile devices.

When there's a storm, I like to switch them from Microphone to TeleCoil. Now I can just listen to the lightning. I don't care for thunder, but lightning is cool. Why is this? ~ If I have my ear close to a table & knock on it with a finger, I won't hear it. BUT, if I knock on the table with a magnet, I CAN hear that. Why is this? ~ If I tap 2 magnets on each other, I can hear that. It sounds like lightning. Why is this?
