  • In this video, Louai discusses Oticon Own - Oticon's newest range of custom hearing aids. Built on the success of Oticon More, Own offers the same deep neural network, Made for iPhone and Android streaming. It also promises more power and better miniaturisation for smaller custom devices than Oticon's previous custom range.

I was able to get both, the More 1 and Own 1. They have been awesome and the Own even more,i have been amazed about the Own's performance, i am able to clearly hear tv and radio away from me( i had difficulty with sounds away from me), with Own 1, also in group conversations, I have been able to follow the conversation as i never had been able to do that with the previous Agile versions 3 and 1...I have been using hearing aids for more than 50 years.

Thank you for the video. I have occlusion issues with the IICs Ive tried due to small canal - one side hearing loss - which makes it super difficult to use this size hearing aid. Is the new Own any better?

Great video! Through my health care company I can get a discount on Oticon Own, Starkey Evolve or Phonak Virto. I have mild to moderate hearing loss with my biggest issue being in noisy environments. Which one of these would you recommend? Thanks

Thanks @richdiorio3650! If you're looking at the IIC style, then my personal preference out of those 3 options would be Oticon Own. It has a really natural sound quality which you may prefer if you've never worn hearing aids before. Oticon also make a really small sized IIC (Starkey would too). The deep neural network (DNN) potential of Oticon Own would be able to provide you with some additional support in noise. As always, speak to your own hearing care provider to ensure that the IIC style is suitable for your ears and hearing loss. The other thing to be consider if you do struggle to hear in noisy environments, is whether you may be better supported with a different style of hearing aid - a speech in noise test will help your hearing care provider to determine this.
