Only my first core of the 5800X3D is on like 63% in the Fenix A320, all the others are at like 0-3%. Using a RTX 3070 which is only at like 75% usage as well.. so weird. On the ground im crawling at around 20-35 fps.

Look at the cloud detail on MSFS 2020. Its so much more detailed. Turn that down so it matches the MSFS2024 version then run the test. To have a like for like test you have to be scientific and have like for like. Its like testing FPS with Forza 5 and COD the way you have done it

After logging 100 hours on 2024 I still prefer 2020 in most flight scenarios. 2024 skews too much towards a video game feel.

Nice video. What is the point of doing this departure using vnav? Meaning if you placed a hard altitide limit at 4,000ft why not just use basic autopilot & vnav? Since you're already using manual throttle with this plane. Vnav my guess is when you set cruise altitude then let fmc restrictions take care of climb & all?

hi could you tell me how you have got the audio panel on the gtn 750 I have the gtn750 but the audio panels are different and I have tried all sorts to try and change them with no luck can you help thanks graham

I was gettina 60 fps in 2020 at medium now i cant even reach a stable 30 at low in the new sim

2024 has a noticeable better atmospheric scattering and more realistic cloud rendering. And of course a focus on ground textures as people can now walk around (even though this part could still be massively improved in the future). I suggest to use an addon to use Google Maps, this is way better than Bing Maps.

Many thanks for this comparison. My only criticism is your choice of colour for your data overlay (fps,cpu etc) they’re hard distinguish against the blue sky. Perhaps boring old black may have been more suitable?

i have the same cpu, with good cooling you can go for curve optimizer -30 and scalar at 10x. this way the cpu will go full 4.450MHz. of cpurse, test stability and keep in mind silicon lottery

You don't need Balanced DLSS with 4080 in MSFS2020... You can easily use Quality... and make it look better, with room to spare. Balanced is only 1080p upscaled. Then your CPU is stilk limiting if you push ip LOD... but at least your GPU is being used

Good side by side comparison. IMHO FS20 scenery looks better then FS24 for most of these flights. Night time lighting in 24 is very good. Frame rates were only marginally better with FS24 which was a little surprising.

First! I never get to do that. You chose no frame gen to be fair to 2020? Glad you weren’t comparing to the original msfs. Definitely make the next vid about the settings you personally use to get the best experience. I think a lot of people have your specs

I do not believe I would spend $200 solely for a career mode when Sky4Sim is available for less than $20. I have a 4080 Super, and my simulation looks as amazing as yours. Please consider this.

I'll say it, the environmental detail in 2024 is outstanding. The trees alone are such a jump in quality from 2020, not to mention the lighting and ground detail. They've done an impressive job.

Without a doubt ''24 looks better the Programers made it so that the terrain is better than clouds aren't as sharp and look more realistic the shadows are better and there are reflections in the cockpit.

i invested a lot msfs 2020 and bought many add-ons. Will they all go to waste now? I will continue with msfs 2020 for at least 2 more years. yes 2024 look better but actually there is no big difference.

I appreciate the comparison, and it has made my mind up not to spend another £69.99 for what appears to be a changed colour palette and marginal increases in detail levels. I am running MSFS 2020 in VR with a HP Reverb G2, Intel 10700, 32Gb RAM and an RX 7800 XT, and it works just fine. It appears to be a bit of a cash grab by Asobo, and so far I haven't seen anything to prove otherwise. This should have been a free update for existing MSFS customers, maybe with an option to purchase the new aircraft and missions in the marketplace.
