This was very helpful for a pilot new to the king air. In one video, I learned a bunch about the GTNXi, things I didn't know at all. I appreciate you showing both RNAV and ILS approaches.
Excellent video. Really an enjoyable view. I have the premium GTN 750 and it's my favorite addon. I guess it wouldn't let you delete that airport as it needed a destination airport first. I like using he autopilot in the 750 over the plane's one but when you showed the climb feature of this plane's autopilot, I started using it. Can't wait for the next one with the 414. That's an excellent plane.
@@banditflightsimmer6446 It is working great, still learning sids and stars reason I enjoy your videos, especially in Canada as I live in Penticton CYYF.
incredibly helpful Video / Tutorial! Also great that u do the GA stuff alot & that you are a real world pilot as well! Maybe you could not delete the waypoint because it was the next in an active flightplan. Maybe switching to HDG mode first, then edit and then back! Not that i know much, just an idea.. Anyways, thanks for all your great videos, and happy new year! :)
I can't get much basic instruction on using the GTNXi or the King Air Auto Pilot. When I engage the A/P, and I use NAV and Climb, the King Air climbs right through the alititude in the window. What button controls that? Same in the descent, the unit shows the TOD point, and I dial in a lower altitude in the window but engaging V/S does nothing. What has to be done to make the airplane capture altitude and follow a descent path?
Hi. It should capture the altitude in climb, make sure you also have your flight director on . The VNAV feature is info only, the autopilot will not follow the VNAV path, you have to fly it using V/S, vertical speed. The VNAV page should show the required vertical speed to stay on the descent profile. Cheers!
@@banditflightsimmer6446 thank you, I still haven’t quite figured out the climb part. I did use climb with FD on with climb engaged and an altitude set in the window. For the descent, I’m guessing you use the desc button, but where do I set the rate of descent? Is there a knob? Is there a manual for this king air? I have a very old one.
For descent I use VS (vertical speed) and use the rocker switch just below to the right labeled DN or UP to set the rate, one click of DN is 100 fpm down. I set the rate to match the vertical speed required on the VNAV page of the GTN.
Thanks for your reply. So I guess you need to wait and load the visual approach after getting airborne. I was thinking you needed to subscribe to the premium version for this function to work. I will try it later today. Thank you!
Could you not type in a geographical location as a waypoint (48°38′50″N 123°25′33″W) insert that into flight plan Just a thought. I regret the late reply
Good flight, thanks. The GTN750 is just a must have, once you have it, its very hard do without it.
Yes indeed! Thanks

You greased that landing! Enjoyed the video.
Thanks 👍

Thanks, on the previous flight I did, when I tried to delete the airport I had no issue, not sure why it wouldn't let me this time. Cheers!
Very nice video, lovely cockpit and the GPS is very cool👍
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks!
Educational flight for me, Thank you. I am using the RSG GTN750 with the TDS software. As Steve mentioned, hard to fly without it.
Thanks, how well is the TDS system working in the sim?

@@banditflightsimmer6446 is it necessary to push the DCS button on the autopilot in addition to VS?
How do I get the Garmin into the Analog King Air .. cant seem to find anything
There are 2 switches on the main panel just right of the co-pilot yoke for COMM 1 and 2 selections, on COMM 1 there is a selection for the GTN750.
Can anyone explain how to get the premium version, website keeps telling my email is invalid, thanks!
I'm not sure but their Discord site is very helpful:

Can you please tell me if you can plan a VFR approach to a specific runway using VNAV in the 750. I know you can with the G1000. Thanks for your time!
Yes, just load a visual approach for any runway and there will be a final fix with an associated altitude that will generate a VNAV path.

Yes, you do need the premium version to use visual approaches.

Yes, you could do that.
Perfeito.
