  • In this video we take the Citation CJ4, featuring the AAU1 update, for a spin in New Zealand. We depart Auckland (NZAA) via a RNAV departure utilizing VNAV and arrive in Wellington (NZWN) via an RNAV RNP approach.

    Thanks Bandit. That took me back 40 years to when I was first married and living in Wellington. I commuted for a few years Tues, We’d, thurs in Auckland, mon, fri and weekends in Wellington. I’ve done that exact flight in B737 s many many times It’s a while since I flew in NZ in MSFS and I think it’s time I had another flight there. Thank you for my nostalgia flight!

      Hi, thanks for watching. New Zealand is a great place to fly in the sim, especially since the resent update. I've been doing some ATR flights there since the ATR 42/72 was released. Cheers!

      Thanks, sorry for the late reply, I've been away. Good landings are sometimes harder in the sim because you don't have any peripheral vision. Even in real life I still have the occasional hard landing, just had one the other night.😐Cheers!

    Thanks, Bandit. Another interesting and informative flight. Yes, a stock plane that even Xbox users can fly now that the mod is no longer needed. You can't beat this. Looking forward to the 414 on your next video. One of the best pay ware planes out there.

    Amps showing 0 is correct since the battery is fully charged and the generators are powering the electrical system. If you were to run the battery on the ground you would see a discharge indicated, and then once connecting the APU/external power you would see a positive charge for the brief time it takes to go back to fully charged.

    Do you happen to know how to get the ground power to power the CJ4? Ground power shows up outside the CJ4, but it does not deliver any power?? And i cant find anything on the internat either. The WT version had a "MOD" section where one couöd activate the GPU, But on the new ASOBO i cant find anything for this!
    Thanks, David.

    I'm not sure how your passengers will feel after going from almost 9000fpm to level flight on that departure. Would have been better off reducing power far earlier

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Other than the steep deck angle I don't think they would have felt anything. If you are referring to pressure change the cabin pressure controller would limit that, the cabin altitude at 4000 ft was only 100 ft. I wish I could sustain that kind of climb rate in real life, you would be at cruise in less than 5 minutes.😉 Cheers!

    • @BlAzInLoNdOnToWn
      @BlAzInLoNdOnToWn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@banditflightsimmer6446 Nothing to do with the pressure, but your passengers would have essentially been in zero G for that entire curve. It would most likely make them feel a bit queasy, especially if they'd just eaten or drunk!

    Very good video. I just started with the CJ4 and I'm enjoying it so far. One problem that seems to plague me is regarding RNAV approaches. After programming the RNAV, and arming the approach, it isn't capturing the glidepath. I am at the required altitude and IAF. I've cycled the approach and nav and lowered the command altitude to zero and that seemed to work, but it didn't do it automatically as shown in your video. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a bug I've encountered? Thanks for the help.

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the approach, not all RNAV approaches are coded with a glide path.

    Hi , nice video tutorial , can you please tell me how do you add calm winds on approach on FMC ? I have flown with calm winds and I couldn’t put 00 @ 00 on FMC. ! 😃

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I haven’t tried to put 0@0 in, it should work but it could be a bug. IRL when the winds are calm I usually put in a tailwind of 5 knots as sometimes when you land in calm winds you will actually have a small tailwind on landing. Cheers!
