Another great video, to compliment the previous one. Looking forward to this update probably more than any previous one. The Longitude was always one of my favourite aircraft and with this superb upgrade it'll be back in action a lot more. Would love to see the steam gauge Kingair sometime.
Wonderful video. I have a question. In the second GA you switch the sod from manual (130 knots) to fps (200 Knot). where did you set that 200 knots? In other word i don’t understand how to manage sod from manual to fps and vicevera. I understood that when you are in manual mode the indicator is green and you can select the speed you want. But why you have to reverse to fms mode?
Hi. The speeds for FMS mode are preset for climb, cruise and descent. It is explained in more detail in my previous video. th-cam.com/video/ZtJex4L3Ssg/w-d-xo.html Cheers!
Do you mean the heading line that pops up when you change the heading bug? If so, it does that for me on the G3000 but I couldn't find a setting for it. sorry.
@@banditflightsimmer6446 Yeah to be clear I don't mean the curved line that shows your project course, but the straight line that extends infinitely and shows the bug heading. It DOES show up I think on the PFD Map (Sometimes I get airplanes mixed) but doesn't show up on the MFD map and I really like using that in other planes. EDIT: Are you sure you have it? I don't see it in your video EG around the 25:30 mark where you change heading to 161 on the bug I don't see a line showing up.
You are correct, it doesn't show up in the video but I just tried it in the sim and the extended line does appear when i change the heading. I looked for a setting and couldn't find one, if I find it I'll let you know.
@@banditflightsimmer6446 I figured it out! Sadly it isn't an explicit setting like in the G1000, but the G3000 it shows the line ONLY when the map mode is in Heading Up mode.
Thanks for great video. I fly Phenom 300 on vatsim g1000. Nice to find someone on youtube that knows what they are talking about. Rw pilot and igi here. Is the vnav fully functional? Does it read in navigraph alt restrictions for stars etc so they don't have to be manually entered? Does the vnav capture and work properly? Looking closely at this aircraft and msfs. Thanks.
The VNAV is very functional. All the altitude and speed restrictions come from the Nav Data when you load the arrival or approach. You can amend them if you need to though.
When vpath was captured why didn't the fma say ALTV when it was higher than 1700 ft selected in blue? It said ALTS in fma. Is the vnav not fully functional?
At 5000 it was V ALT and then went V PATH when it captured the path. ALTS was then armed because the next altitude limit was 1700 which is what was set in the altitude selection window so I believe the VNAV was functioning correctly.
Can't wait for the G3000 update. When I do a manseq, I'm not sure what to do next. When using the GTN 750, it says it's in the suspend mode. It won't go to the next waypoint. I have to use direct to get there. Is that the correct way?
What’s the difference between manual speed and FMS speed? Also on take off, is it generally full throttle each time? Or is there a thrust reduction setting?
In manual, the auto throttle will target the speed you set with the speed knob. In FMS it will target the speed set by the FMS, it is explained in more detail in the previous video; th-cam.com/video/ZtJex4L3Ssg/w-d-xo.html I'm not a Longitude pilot but I don't see any thrust reduction settings so I assume you always takeoff in full throttle. Thanks for watching, Cheers!
V Good video. Some questions please; when you advance the throttles at what stage do you press the TOGA button? if you advance the throttles and your using Autothrust does the Toga button still get pressed? thanks for the time you put in on your videos its appreciated. If you ever fly into Cambridge UK let me know
Thanks, if the auto throttle is on you just need to hit TOGA and the throttles will advance to TO thrust. If the auto throttle is off, just advance the throttles full forward and hit TOGA at the same time then when you get a chance reengage the auto throttle.
I don’t like that when I’m taking off on the citation longitude and now that there’s a new update the throttle takes forever to reach 100 percent and it doesn’t even allow me to go that high on the engines for takeoff, is this a bug or a feature by the game ?
It must be modeled on the FADEC for the actual aircraft, you will notice TO thrust is not the same every time, it probably varies based on temperature, pressure etc..
@@banditflightsimmer6446 thanks for informing it’s just I remember it wasn’t like this before the update but it is now and I used to love this aircraft
Jet aircraft always take as little power on TO to save wear on the engine. If that ruins your fun, simply push the throttles to the firewall manually. But don’t complain when you get the engine overhaul bill! 😂
Maybe they will fix the annoying popdown menu from the top of screen. It keeps flashing on and off. It has been 2 years and this is still happening. Just gives us a hotkey. Thanks for awesome video.

You seem really well versed in the avionics. Is there a way to get the G3000 to display the heading line like the G1000?

Why can’t we get this plane anymore in Msfs market place. Os where is it available
It's not in the Marketplace, it should be installed as a default aircraft if you have the Premium Deluxe edition of MSFS
@@banditflightsimmer6446 Ok thanks
what checklist are you using?

That is stupid to force us to use LOCK instead of LEGACY. I hate LOCK mode.
Yea, I'm not a big fan of LOCK mode either, hopefully they can fix that in the final release.
With the latest Beta update it will apparently work in legacy mode. 😊
