  • In this video we take flight in the BlackSquare Analog Baron from Innsbruck (LOWI) to Linz (LOWL) Austria. We depart Innsbruck on the RNAV approach and arrive in Linz on the RNAV approach for runway 08 while making extensive use of the Baron checklists. This is a great addon that takes the default Baron to the next level.

    Loved this tutorial! Answered so many questions I had about this fabulous aircraft. I think this Baron will be my go-to plane from now on. Thank you so much for doing this!

    I Appreciate this thorough walk-through of the checklist including all the test & systems, Also as previous said, the features in the GTN 750 was a real bonus for me. But on top of it all the way you talk us through the whole flight from start to finish in a clear calm way is outstanding imo. Love your videos! :)

    I took my Baron for a spin a few days ago. I messed up with the cabin pressure and power went to idle at around FL 230 - no throttle control whatsoever. It pitched down at a very decent vs, down to FL200, where the engines revved up again (really came to life from idle) and all was good again! Impressive. Got 260 kts ground speed over eastern Austria, on a western course before the Alps. Landed smoothly in Zurich on Runway 24. Something else: immediately after watching your video, my mouse ran like crazy and clicked on Subscribe button. I don't know what's going on anymore!

      Hi, thanks for watching. For the Baron, once you get in the higher altitudes, above FL200 , the engines could flame out if the mixture is not set correctly. Start leaning the mixture at the higher altitudes.

    I watched this straight through. Enjoyed it and learned a lot. I've had problems with cabin pressure in the King Air so hopefully what I learned here will help me next time I fly this plane or the King Air. Interesting how you use the GTN 750 Premium's features. I will have to try that too. I like to use two GTN 750s (the second from the pulldown menu). I prefer to use it's autopilot too. I liked how you deleted waypoints on the approach to make it shorter. I noticed that only works with the In-cockpit WTT mode (I think you know what I mean there). All four steam gauged planes are excellent but my favorite is the Bonanza. Thanks for the time in making this video.

      Thanks. Yes, the Balcksquare planes are great. I was blown away with the CHT overheat doing the runup out of wind. I can't believe that was modeled and that it was alleviated by turning into wind. The aircraft keep getting better and better. 😊

    Fab. Do you normally exercise the prop three times. Check RPM, then OIL pressure, then outside engine oil leak?

    I bought it but almost nothing works in my cockpit, engine 2 does not want to start and when it does it runs irregularly, the AP does not work on the Lochitec device and so on, for me a bad model and a waste of money

      That's too bad. For me it has been a great addon. The engines are very finnicky, you have to follow the checklist exactly or you will damage the engines and you have to lean them properly when flying. Hopefully you can get it figured out, Just to repair the engines and try again.

    How to transfer the flight plan to the 430 ?

      If you enter it in the PMS GTN 750 it should show up automatically, otherwise you would have to enter it in the 430 separately.

    I hear you on the checklists. It's a xml file, but I think they just added to the original checklists instead of creating their own. You can edit it if you dare. I fly their Bonanza and this is the location for it(providing everything is installed in its default places. I would assume the Baron has the same structure: C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\bksq-aircraft-analogbonanza\SimObjects\Airplanes\bksq-aircraft-analogbonanzaturbo\Checklist
