    Thanks for letting me into your cockpit, captain. Though I did not understand everything in detail the first time watching, you made me realize the complexity of flight procedures and this beautiful aircraft in a calm, comfortable and professional manner.
    The best way to learn and to keep interest in flying and enjoying the sim.
    Thank you again for this great tutorial flight!

    Hey Bandit welcome back. I love the Longitude and am so happy it's getting attention from Working Title. Your question about controlling the split screen is simple. There's a Pane switch function associated with the left knob on the lower MFD. Scrolling switches between the different panes. You can see a slight highlight shift to let you know which pane you're manipulating. Hope that helps!

    Great video. Appreciate you sharing. Note on the PAPIs - check the approach plate for that runway. It sometimes mentions that the VGSI (visual glide slope indicators) not aligned with glideslope. Could be the case there. Also struggled with the cj4 but watched a video of a chap giving top tips of landing 182 in real world and he said use of trim on landing helps. Tried it in cj4 and helps a lot. As soon as you put throttles to idle don't use yoke - just trim back as speed bleeds off. Works a treat for me

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, thanks for watching. Sorry for the late reply, I've been away for the last few weeks. For the PAPIs, yes you can check the plates but there is a bug with that scenery, they should never be that much off. As for using trim on landing, IRL you should never use trim to fly the airplane. For example, in this situation you have just applied nose up trim to soften the landing and the you have to go around because you landed long, now when you apply full power the plane is trimmed for a lower speed and could pitch up aggressively and you could stall, this would be aggravated if the thrust vector also causes a pitch up moment.

Also, the manual confuses me on how to pressurized the cockpit. My alarm goes off at high altitudes as I can't seem to set it correctly. You did like Microsoft checklist in the sim and it's the opposite. For anyone wondering about the screen management issue presented at 31:18 this is caused when toggling in and out of split screen mode. So long as there are two "controllable" MFD views, then the two GTCs in the middle will each try to control one. When you go from two on the MFD to one, but have the PFD split, the other GTC takes over the PFD map.
    At any time you can move the left-most control on the center GTCs left/right to change which screen they're controlling. The screen being controlled will have it's header colored cyan or magenta - cyan is the left GTC, magenta is the right GTC.
    At the moment mentioned, you can see the PFD's split screen is highlighted Magenta, the left half of the MFD is highlighted Cyan, and the right half of the MFD is not highlighted - uncontrolled.
    The Right PFD is actually mimicking the left PFD for now (I'd love to see that changed) and cannot be independently split.

    Welcome back and thanks for this video helped me a lot. Couple of points if I may ; I wished you could have covered the take off sequence with the camera focusing on the throttle etc rather than just speaking out the sequence of events on take off. I think this point would also cover other actions i.e. if an action is being performed just get the camera focussed on what you are doing. This is not a criticism by the way buy it helps non pilots like me so much. Thanks anyway for the time and trouble putting this together it would be awesome if you could do more flights\procedure on this jet as you indicated.

    Very good video. I have no clear the conversion of the knots in Mach. In the vnav profile in the climb schedule y the high speed climb is set to 300 Kn/M0.8. But 300 Knots should be 0.45 M. I mean 0.8 M is 988 km/h It’s seems to much for climbing. While 300 knot are 550 Km/h that seams to be more reasonable. Probably there is some confusion in my mind about Knot and Mach indication.

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will maintain 300 Kts until 300 Kts IAS equals Mach 0.8 which usually occurs around 25000 ft plus or minus depending on the atmospheric conditions. When it switches to Mach it will maintain 0.8 for the rest of the climb and you will notice the IAS will slowly decrease. It does the reverse on the descent, Mach 0.8 until it equals 300 Kts IAS and then maintain 300 until 10000 ft. The relationship between Mach and IAS isn't a constant, it changed with altitude and temperature which changes the air density.

    • @antoniopettini9503
      @antoniopettini9503 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello Bandit, I was wondering if you could help me / clarify some Auto Throttle issues, do the toga functions work as in enable the outer buttons on thrust handles and will that auto position throttles to take off power. In asking I do not have the Beta version you are presenting in this version, what mods / add ons do you have enabled since update12 andAAU1 is the fight dynamics mod still functioning? I understand that AUTO THROTTLE only work once in the air after you manually select speed ( not FMS selection) after manual selection of throttles to take off.

      Hi, the beta is over, it is now part of the basic sim. I do not use the flight dynamics mod anymore. The auto throttles function using the outer buttons on the thrust levers, ( I have it mapped to a button on my throttles ), you can set it on the ground. I usually set takeoff power manually and then arm the auto throttle during the take off roll. It should maintain thrust in either manual or FMS mode.

    When you pass the runway threshold does the auto throttle disengage automatically or you have to do manually?

    • @banditflightsimmer6446
      @banditflightsimmer6446  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will go to idle thrust at a certain height, I think around 10-20 feet and then it will automatically disengage on touchdown.

      Yup, that why the AP leveled of at FL190 initially but the I simulated ATC gave us an unrestricted climb to cruise and I disabled VNAV.

      @@banditflightsimmer6446 ah!!! I didn’t get that part. By no means I’m I an expert, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. That VNAV is awesome when doing restricted climbs. I’ll arm FLC and then above 400 feat, flaps up and VNAV on. I think I read that somewhere…. Lol. Thanks for the videos you do, I like to follow along with you.

      There is no mod for this. You'll get it on the next update planned for January. Bandit is using the beta version of it. If you have the mod for the previous version like I do, you must delete it. It won't work with it and it won't be necessary,
