I get why people like that loop pile look. It does look pretty but the cut pile is still my favorite not only for the look but the feel! I love my fluffy rugs especially on the feet!

Out of all of the videos I have watched trying to get as much info as possible on tufting (at least for me anyways idk about everybody else) but this one was amazing!! I have never tufted before and when I was waiting for my gun to come in I watched this video and was shocked at how good it came out!!

My yarn always blends together when i cut it even when i separate it . why is tht?

The fabric you’re calling monks cloth is called aida (used for cross stitching) and the fabric you’re calling “tufting fabric” is called monks cloth. I don’t know how you got those mixed up so badly, but I kind of blame the website you’re depending on for your information, because $70 for 2 yards of monks cloth is insane. They’re robbing you blind. I just paid $10 for 2 yards of high quality 72” wide monks cloth a couple months ago. It’s not hard to find a more reliable economical source. But for the love of everything sane, call things the right name. If you don’t know, look it up or ask questions. Videos like this that have misinformation spoken with authority just confuse people. Otherwise, your rugs are gorgeous and thank you for the backing video. It’s very useful.

Nothing personal, but that website and recommendations are 3-4x way over cost. You’re paying way too much. Actually, you’re being scammed imo. Those two guns are NOT different guns. You’re being sold a single part missing from the other that literally comes standard with all tufting guns. The piece is removable to choose between cut and loop etc. it’s a quick 30 second change. This website is charging you 4 times the cost of a single gun that does both by standard. SMH…. I feel like this is actually your website and grossly overpriced. And that fabric is NOT a high quality fabric…..

Definitely wear a respirator when doing this. Tiny acrylic fibers are *not* good for your lungs.

Figured I’d share with you- as far as oiling the machine goes do NOT use sewing machine oil! You can actually shorten the life of your gun. Sewing machine oil is meant to make things sticky. It is made of minerals. You def want to use an oil that makes things slide. I use an oil frm amazon called “3 in one” oil. Sewing machine oil will make your machine gunky
