The best way to do coolant hoses is to use a mk2 gti 8v lower coolant hose (fits straight in) and for the upper hose use a mk2 gtd hose and another mk2 gti 8v hose then cut each hose at the end an put a 7-8 cm inox pipe in between.

Best thing you can do with DRC is ditch it ! After two failures of DRC on my 2015 B8.5 RS4 changed to coil overs. Waaaaaaay better and brings the car alive. DRC is only good in theory, not practise, it can’t compete with decent coil overs and is horrifically unreliable, it WILL fail guaranteed, a poorly executed great idea stolen from Yamaha’s superbikes.

Likely the connector is the root cause. Clean it out with electronics cleaner and confirm the contact prongs are tight. You may be able to tighten-up the female side with a pick. The problem fits the thermal cycling fact. The connector gets hot and the prong expands and loses electrical contact. A theory to be considered.

Ve should be held accountable I have 4 tdi vws and all of the compressors died had to put new ones is I think everyone is sick of these company’s ripping customers off they make cheap parts and charge more

1.8t BAM AGU etc Almost bolts straight in, ABF 2.0 is quite similar. You can use the o2j gearbox & g60 clutch kit and injection etc splice into ECU and your almost finished.

And then a few days ago the old video of it going down the strip popped up in my recommended. Subscribed and definitely staying for the content, some top work going on!

Superb as always....i really need some tips on where to start to get as confident as you on these 20v wiring issues. Am about 95% complete on a mk1 golf - Audi TT mk1 20v (AUQ) conversion and suddenly my dash lights all went out,only displays battery light and cranks and doesnt start no more. Any tips?

Its a Z20 they all leak ffs. You just got to manage the leak. I got a Black GSI 2005. Mine leaks,they all leak!. If pcv is blocked or breather at back one way valve is kaput it will fire oil out of everywhere. Very very reliable engines, start first turn of key everytime. My son has the Arden Blue one stage 3 he piles money into it also but i dont. Mine doesnt need anything.(Touch Wood). Shes had 2 coil packs, c20let clutch, drive shaft,ngk 6 plugs x 2 lots, powerflow full de cat,k and n open cone filter. Ive had her 8 years now, fsh and 18 stamps in history book. Most reliable car ive ever had.

Glad you found the fault on the dash and will help other people out. Great fab work, to make It look like a standard GTI. Look forward to seeing the road test and when you do these swaps. Do you have to make a note of the engine number and photos. For DVLA or is it the owners responsibility to in form DVLA ? Always wound on company who do engine swaps. Happy New Year too.
