In his violin concerto, Beethoven frequently used the technique of ornamenting a melody with octaved triplets. Perhaps Brahms was influenced by him? (E.g. 6:21)
our professor said 8:17 was the birth of the brass section as an individual section in the history of orchestra (or at least that's how I understood what he said)

Wow this is beautiful

As you may have noticed, this concerto contains a lot of chromaticism for the solo trumpet. Haydn wrote this concerto in 1796 for Anton Weidinger after being inspired by Weidinger's valved trumpet, which was the first real successful effort in creating a reliable valved trumpet. However, valved trumpets only became commonplace in the 19th century, and French conservatoires only started using valved trumpets in the 1900s, as it was a common belief that the valved trumpet restricted the richness of sound of the natural trumpet. Composers such as Beethoven and Schubert also wrote selective chromaticism for the trumpet, but they relied on reaching the notes outside the harmonic series by hand-stopping.
7:19 major-minor❤❤❤
This should have millions of views, what music!
37:49 assolutamente brillante!

which quartet is playing it? Gorgeous rendition
I love the violin and piano duo. What a cheerful sound.
The ninth is Music about war, interruptions with trying for peace but than - all of sudden - war starts again, brutal war and when you are not aware - some very smooth melodies appear praying, pleading, crying for peace ....and this is the whole third movement. The forth movement is a revolution in music generally and every human being should have and has its own thoughtS about 'Ode an die Freude' , the big and loud cry for human BROTHERHOOD
Anyone else noticing the constant slight changes in pitch/frequency, whatever it may be, throughout this..?
The beginning reminds me of the Pipilangstrumpf Theme!! I love it!

@jamisonsanchez9372 first, thank you very much for uploading this amazing recording with the score. Can you please unpin that ridiculous comment? I know you did it to expose its ridiculousness but it is the first thing many new people in classical music see when coming to this video. When they see it pinned they can be confused in their first perception of this masterpiece. There is no reason to highlight such ignorant nonsense
Finale ❤❤❤❤❤😅

Who is violinist? And which is the orchestra?
beautiful masterpiece
Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way to Heaven. We've all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins like lying, lusting, etc. Repent and trust only in Jesus, and you will be saved! You can be saved because he took the punishment for our sins on himself when he died on the cross, just like someone can pay your speeding fine in court, and you get off free. Romans 3:23 John 3:16❤😊❤
I know the 4th movement is the most popular (and I love it), but my favorite has to be the 1st movement. Those open fifths at the beginning immediately transport me into another world. It's as if I'm top of Mt. Everest, looking down in awe on the rest of the world. And the coda of the 1st movement one of my favorite codas of all time 😍😍

This is played at a really good tempo, never normally hear it this quick but it works very nicely!
First movement in sonata form: EXPOSITION: 0:00 - 03:11 Main theme: 0:04 Second theme: 00:51 (F major) Third group: 01:04 (dominant: B-flat major) Fourth group: 01:12 Fifth group: 01:33 (dominant) Sixth group: 02:03 (dominant and F major seventh) DEVELOPMENT: 03:11 - 07:43 New (seventh) theme: 05:28 (e minor) Eight group: 6:35 RECAPITULATION: 07:43 - 11:00 CODA: 11:00 - 13:27
It's pretty cool, you can almost see bits of Wagner in both this and the Missa Solemnis. But then some tacky Mozartian passages interrupt the "scenery" and you're reminded this is a half century too early for Das Ring. Beethoven truly was something.
Beethoven: as "ideias" musicais brotam nas formas texturais...e são desenvolvidas, transformadas, evoluem. É um jogo inigualável!
Love this work
the andante movement at 7:08 is sublime
29:57 35:30 .

28:02 mysterious and spectacular
