    Hey thanks for putting this out. There wasn't much content on Wheelchairs in pf2e on TH-cam so I was glad to come across it. I'm a (relatively new) wheelchair user and am in the process of creating a new PC that uses a chair. I'm working with my GM to create some homebrew rules around the chair that make it mechanically interesting and more realistic. For example: moving uphill is difficult terrain but moving downhill lets you move at 2x speed. Another is reducing my bulk limit by 2 (carrying extra weight in a chair irl makes it really hard work to use - prohibitively so) but allowing myself to free action drop items into my lap instead of onto the floor. Another is reducing base move speed by 5ft but increasing it by 10 ft for moving in straight lines only. Irl there are some annoying debuffs from wheelchairs but there's plenty of upsides too. I love my chair and I'm keen to find ways to see it accurately represented in the game. I'm personally not keen on the traveller's chair just easily overcoming some of the difficulties we have to face in our lives. I'm planning to keep things like getting through doors and navigating steps as athletics checks or having some of the physical challenges require assistance from my party. I'm sure some people are delighted by a miracle chair that solves all the problems and I'm glad that it's in the ruleset, but it's not for me. Once I've playtested the wheelchair with these homebrewed rules I plan to make a video about it to share my perspective. In my searching on TH-cam I haven't actually found a video about pf2e wheelchairs that is actually made by a wheelchair user!

      Oh another potential tradeoff was needing to use an action to apply brakes. If I don't apply brakes I'd move back 5ft when I made physical attacks.

    Yo, Sly. This system for duelling is... ok. There's nothing wrong about the r-p-s style resolution, but leaving it up to a referee (PC or NPC) seems like it leaves a lot out of the combatants hands, and a lot to bias and ambiguity. That said, I might suggest taking a look at the Certamen rules from Ars Magica as inspiration for writing something better than this. It uses the idea of building up advantage in anticipation of delivering a finishing strike. Just a thought.

    Hi Sly Strategist. I'd like to request a video on the subject of how to get started as a GM for PFS. I'd like to get a breakdown of the chronicle sheet, a clear explanation of itemization and how items dissapear after each sessions and you then get to spend a fixed amount of gold. How to check my players' characters to make sure they are legal, and how to award them with credits and items at the end of sessions. Personally I feel like I probably understand how to do all this, but would love for an experienced GM to lay it all out in a simple 1-2-3 steps kinda guide. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

    Something else I do with my players using Recall Knowledge on creatures -- in addition to their name and a brief description (beyond the obvious physical stuff), I also tell them the creature's level. This gives them an immediate assessment of the threat level, so they know if they need to pull out the Big Guns.

    its ironic to me that you state its a great skill to have at the end when I cant help but think "this is almost worthless without feats that trigger against frightened enemies" the issue is that Frightened isn't SO impactful that a value of 1 for one round PER COMBAT is going to tip the scales and Coercion is still just not as effective or safe to use as something like Persuasion which has the same benefits but without the risk that comes with antagonizing someone. for combat i honestly thing Deception's ability to Feint is more effective sense the Off-Guard condition makes it easier to hit the target (or crit) and there are plenty of abilities from multiple classes that rely on an Off-Guard target. (especially if your a rogue for example)

    But WHEN do you fall?! Do you fall instantly the moment it happens? Do you fall at the end of your turn? Do you fall at the beginning of your next turn? When flying and you don't use a fly action you "Start falling at the end of your turn". Does this mean someone can be flying, use an action to "Drop Prone" instantly start "Falling" drop 500ft, use a reaction due to a fly speed to "Arrest a fall" then finish their turn, 500ft lower?!

    This is helpful as a new player, thank you. One thing to note - I've learned that you do not immediately receive all of the treasure items listed on the Chronicle sheet. Rather, you gain access to purchase them for the price listed.

    I've been a user of both HLO and PB2 for building out Pathfinder 2e characters. I've yet to really delve into Demiplane. That being said... I've been building out my campaign manager for Pf2e in Obsidian MD. Problem is, Pathbuilder doesn't work out so well in Obsidian. HLO and DP do, for the most part or at least far better than PB. However, I do like PB for creating quick characters for either Legacy or Remastered. The upside of DP is that if you have a linked Paizo account (which I don't think HLO has as a capability), when you buy the dataset, you also get the PDF of the book, and that's yours to keep forever. HLO has something similar, but I don't know if you lose access to it if/when your subscription ends. Either way, each platform has its pros and cons.

    Just to clarify, you roll YOUR athletics against THEIR reflex, right? What’s the math for trip with assurance?

      Thanks for the comment! Yup, it's your athletics against their save. So the math for assurance really is dependent on the individual PC BUT it's pretty easy. Assurance really depends on the level of the player character and skill proficiency. Assurance is 10 + (Level + Skill Proficiency Level) only so it's only level +2 if Trained, level +4 if Expert, level +6 if Master, or level +8 if Legendary. Don

    In my experience so far, running a group from lvl 1-5 thus far... this is one of the fastest running games I've played. You want something that takes forever? Try Exalted 3rd Edition combat.

    I hadn't realized you could go as far as SIX increments out! Now I'm doing the math in my head about that -10, along with various buffs/debuffs that could happen. 🤔 It DOES present new possibilities!

      Howdy Kojo! I've really only run into this in escaping enemies as a last chance before they get away usually with a 2nd increment BUT there was one case we ran into in Gatewalkers (no spoilers) where we downed a retreating flying creature in the 4th increment with a clan pistol as a last ditch effort. It was great! Don

    Two questions: Is there anything with the rules to modify or add a property to a weapons with a ranged tag to add additional range? For example, a masterwork long bow with a range inrament of 120 (up from 100)? Not magical, but that is the second question: Is there a quality of an item within the rules? Better material, construction or quality of the item? I mean homebrew is a thing, just looking for some temperment.

      So there are A LOT of Property runes and a bunch that I've never looked at (The Extending one looks fantastic but melee only!): 2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?Category=23&Subcategory=27 There is the Impossible Rune in Treasure Vault but that is a Rune 20 (!): "IMPOSSIBLE RUNE 20 CONJURATION MAGICAL Price 70,000 gp Usage etched onto a weapon This rune makes a weapon capable of impossible offense and defense. High-grade items use the purest form of the precious material, and can be used to Craft magic items of any level holding any runes.     I know this was supposed to be a short video but I am surprised you didn't mention the volley trait for "minimum range" penalties.

      Thanks for the comment! Yup, it's always a decision point on how far I want to go with a specific topic, especially on a Quick Tip which I try to keep under 7 to 8 minutes. For better or worse I chose to not include it as the volley trait, aside from the longbow (which granted is pretty common) and the Phalanx Piercer, isn't on many actual common ranged weapons.       Sure. Longbow is really the most common place to see it. And I would think it should be a big consideration when deciding between Short or Long bows.

    Target would have more opportunity to react and dodge as well. Does any of this happen to apply to spells?

      Thanks for the comment! That would be a good explanation as well as the further you go out the more time the target would have to react (flavor of course not an actual reaction). Good question! So spells don't have a range increment but an absolute range: 2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=286 "Spells with a range can affect targets, create areas, or make things appear only within that range" They can be extended with the reach spell of course but they don't have increments. Edit: Also adding a snippet from the Range and Reach section: "Ranged and thrown weapons have a range increment.     The big take away should be pf2e moved away from how NPCs and monsters are built differently then previous editions.
