Diseases in Pathfinder 2E can be one of the hardest things to get rid of if you're not near a healer or not prepared. The Trained Medicine activity Treat Disease can help your party get a leg up on taking care of the condition!
Parties need to consider a backup medic. Also, consider adding a First Aid item that contains enough medical supplies to perform Medicine: Stabilize. Pretty much includes stuff such as a tourniquet; gauze to wrap wounds & apply pressure; herbs/alchemicals to fend off bacteria, viruses, etc; needles & threads to stitch lacerations; etc. The Undead version includes items capable of stitching flesh/connecting parts, negative essence enhancers, and things the Addams Family keeps in the cupboards. Additional versions for other ancestries should also exist. Each character carries one on their belt and two more elsewhere. Any animal companions, familiars, etc. should have one on their harness. This allows anyone to use the victims First Aid item in place of Healer's Tools but only to Stabilize a dying character/creature.
Hey @CooperativeWaffles! That's a really good idea in general so a party can keep PCs from recovery checks and the Stabilize cantrip is also great as well... especially if a party does not have a dedicated healer. I love the description of the Undead version! Don
@@CooperativeWaffles That is something I'm thinking of doing but at some point but with a new campaign but I need to figure out the best way to do it and what I'd need to do it right. It would be a little while before I'm ready for that though! Don
