It's funny how they intended Rupert Thorne to be a younger up and coming mob boss who's muscling out the established mob families, but then they ended up drawing Thorne to look like he's in his 50's or 60's. Also, the government's anti-drug program used to give tax breaks and even paid studios to include anti-drug messages in their shows and movies. There are similar programs for anti-bullying and anti-child abuse messages. That's why you would see clumsy scenes where characters awkwardly talk about why drugs are bad, those scenes probably paid for the whole episode. But the DCAU writers didn't just lazily use it as an opportunity for an easy pay check, they actually took it seriously and wrote great episodes.

Completely underrated show.

I'm kind of annoyed he didn't show the "Play more." Xbox advert from 2002. It shows a mother giving birth an the baby is launched in the air as he ages rapidly and then falling to his grave, then showing the words "Life is short, play more." then proceeds to show the Xbox logo. I think its quite cursed.

I think Ace's story was pretty dark her story is very tragic. That moment with Batman and Ace was beautiful. Not even Iron Man's death was that sad.
